Atlas took light steps as he found himself already back at the main fortress of Gacha Haven. He paused for a moment, feeling a slight dizziness in his head. It was faint, but still noticeable. He swallowed slowly, then looked up and saw Edrik standing in the exact same spot as when Atlas had left earlier.
"Welcome back, my lord," Edrik said. "You returned rather quickly for a nostalgic trip, I would say. Is everything already taken care of?"
"You know where I went?" Atlas asked.
"Wherever it was," Edrik replied calmly, "I am certain you would not go anywhere without an important purpose."
"Perhaps you should change the way you think about me, Edrik," Atlas said with a faint smile. "I was only testing the capabilities of this artifact, and yes, it works very well."
Edrik nodded. "Did you feel any negative effects while using it?"
"Yes," Atlas answered. He raised his right hand and looked at his palm. Faint traces of crackling golden lightning flickered across it.
