I was momentarily taken aback. The name had suddenly come out of nowhere. What did Tarantula have anything to do with any of this?
“Tarantula isn’t helping the Franias. He’s only pretending to.”
“What do you mean?”
“I thought it was weird, no matter how I looked at it. What does Tarantula stand to gain from helping that family? Do you know?”
My head became blank at mom’s question. Come to think of it…
‘That’s right. To get a spot in power after successfully carrying out treason? There’s no reason to for him to choose the Frania household if he wanted that. He’s smart, so there’s no way he would choose a harder route when there’s an easier path.’
“He said it himself. He is planning on betraying the Frania family.”
“What are you talking about?” Rexid interrupted with a shocked expression.
“Tarantula’s objective isn’t for the Franias to succeed in the rebellion. He actually has no interest in the treason.”
