Chapter 116
Rexid ran up to Rachel, hugged her, and kissed her on the cheek lightly.
Rachel spoke as she returned the hug and patted Rexid on the back.
“My brother, has it been a year now?”
“I think so.”
“It’s been such a long time since you last came to the capital, yet it’s for a national funeral…”
Rexid’s expression turned dark upon hearing Rachel mumble in a depressed voice. After letting out a sigh, Rexid put on a weak smile and scratched his head.
“Still, it’s good to see your face.”
“Thanks for saying that.”
“And Duke Frania?”
“Ah, he said that he’d be here soon …”
Just as Rachel turned around, Duke Frania came out to greet Rexid.
“Welcome, Your Highness.”
“It’s been too long. Have you been well? I can tell by your face that you have.”
Rexid smirked and tapped on the duke’s shoulder as he responded.
“Yes, I’ve been more than well thanks to you.”
“Enough with the welcome talk, let’s go inside. There’s much to be discussed.”
