EMMA
The cell door creaked open. I struggled to my feet, pressing my back against the wall as my heart raced.
Had they found more manufactured evidence against me? Or was I about to be dragged in for more questioning?
The questions tumbled through my head as a guard stepped into the cell.
"What now? Is everything okay?" I put on a straight face even though I was breaking apart inside. Asides from the fact that the Red ball party was ruined and I would remain in Luna Megan's bad books for a while or forever, fire incidents weren't treated with levity in the Pack and with the accusations levied against me, I should be grateful that I wasn't in the dungeon even though I had nothing to do with the fire.
He studied me for a moment before saying, "Luna Emma, you are free to go."
I blinked, sure I must have misheard him.
"What?" My voice came out sharper than I intended.
The guard stepped aside, and that's when I saw her.
