The path ahead was wide and eerily quiet.
It was expected though, as this was what Drahon dreaded to do, and even Ayvira felt the same, only she had some brave flair so she wouldn't look like a weakling.
Drahon slowed his pace as he walked beside Ayvira, the silence pressing down on them like a weight. There was surprisingly less wind, just silence, and that alone was off.
They continued walking until they reached the clearing which they passed, not stopping as they stared at the large expanse of land facing them.
It looked like a field, lined with stone fragments and burnt grass. At first glance, it looked like nothing more than a scorched large expanse of land with random caves all over it.
Until Drahon saw bodies.
Lots of them. All over the ground.
His eyes widened. Ayvira stopped beside him, her eyes narrowing.
"That's a surprise…" she muttered.
