Drahon blinked.
"What's wrong?"
Her eyes remained fixed behind him, wide, mouth slightly parted like the breath had been knocked from her lungs.
Drahon turned.
What he saw made his blood run cold, like it had been dipped into a fridge.
The dead bodies of the demon dragon monsters… were moving.
They weren't twitching or spasming like one would have expected (at least that's what some headless dead monsters did).
They were instead rising.
Their twisted, mangled limbs jerked unnaturally, thirty bones cracking as they pushed themselves up with broken arms and crushed ribs. Black blood leaked from their wounds and fused together, like one of those really cool scenes where cars joined together in movies.
"The fuck?" Drahon muttered.
