CHAPTER 00026
Akar moved across the island with caution, recalling that out in the unexplored natural world, he needs to maintain his guard. Semi sheathing his blades as he walked but keeping them accessible, Akar approached the hut slowly.
When he tried the wooden door, it unexpectedly opened, allowing him to enter with ease. To his dismay, the hut was empty. Also shocking was the state that the interior was in. The room was ridiculously tidy for the amount of objects in such a small space.
The hundreds and hundreds of books and newspapers did not in fact litter the floor but were instead cleanly arrayed across the curvature of the hut's walls. The only objects on the carpet in the center of the room were a single reading chair and table beside it. A fire was lit in the fireplace though, as if someone had been there recently, or perhaps was there now, hiding.
Akar didn't care though, and decided to relax by grabbing a random reading material from the surrounding shelving. He pulled a newspaper from a lower shelf and brought it over to the chair in the center of the hut, angling himself towards the fire to provide light within the windowless stone hut.
He was surprised as he read the newspaper to find that it was not in fact a traditional weekly delivery, but instead a splicing together of various news articles that all seemed to be centric on a figure they deemed the "Master of the Wind".
As he returned himself to the shelf, he checked other surrounding newspapers and found them all to be pertaining to this person. Whoever lived here evidently had a very strong obsession with this "Master of the Wind" figure.
As Akar continued to trace the path of the shelf, finding more and more newspaper clippings, the already dimly lit room suddenly darkened even further. It was the door. Someone was blocking the doorway.
Before he physically moved to see who it was, Akar was hit with an extremely blunt force attack to the front and thrown to the ground. Clearly whoever this was meant business.
