The atmosphere over the small area within the forest pulsated with agony and mischief.
Noah lifted his sword as he scanned the area for the shooters. His heart was beating fast as he feared for the safety of Milan, whom he considered a big brother and friend.
Worry was etched on his face and anger revealed itself in his eyes as he scanned the bushes. But there was no sight of enemies around.
"Senior brother Milan.." Ragnar called in a low tone as he gently shook the body of Milan.
"No.." His eyes reddened with anguish, "Please don't go.. please."
But it was useless — Milan had already passed away a few seconds ago after stuttering.
"No..." Ragnar muttered in a low tone as he went through the different levels of grief.
He had just lost someone.
Someone he was close with even though they had only met for less than a week.
