Chapter 25 - Chaos of an unexpected visitor

The night of the Full Moon

As they both dried off, Emily looked outside at the full moon, reminiscing about her own world.

"It's beautiful, just like the moon in your world," Adam said as he hugged her from behind, both of them naked. Emily felt his embrace against her skin and kissed Adam's arm as they both overlooked the moon from the window.

"I feel like my life has a purpose now. I remember how my parents were before they had me and my sibling, raising us to fly and use our abilities. Being with you, I feel like I finally understand that purpose... of having a child of my own," Emily said. She turned around to hug Adam, looking straight into his eyes.

"I look forward to having our children together. Hopefully, one day, we can even meet your biological parents," Adam replied, gazing back at her.

Emily leaned forward and they kissed, the moonlight shining brightly through the window. Adam hugged Emily tightly and carried her to the bed, gently laying her down. Emily spread her legs, wrapping them around Adam's body.

"I'll make sure to give us a child," Adam whispered.

As Adam moved with Emily, he pushed in deep and licked her neck. As he continued, his tongue trailed toward Emily's earlobe, licking and nibbling gently. Emily's breath hitched and grew deeper as the rhythm intensified. Adam moved faster, aroused by the sound of Emily's voice as she tried to stifle her moans.

Emily bit onto Adam's neck, sucking gently around the mark she made. As Adam moved harder and quicker, Emily finally let go of her restraint and cried out, climaxing in a wave of euphoria. Adam felt her legs trembling as he released himself inside of her. They wiggled under the covers, cuddling close, but their bodies remained aroused, and they soon began touching each other again. The night continued until they eventually collapsed from exhaustion.

Chaotic morning

The sun crept through the bedroom window the next morning, but it was the sound of the doorbell that startled them awake. Adam and Emily sat up, confused by the surprise visitor.

"Do we have guests today?" Adam asked.

"I doubt it. We're supposed to be visiting your uncle today," Emily replied.

Adam sent a duplicate to the door. Looking through the peephole, the duplicate saw Alice standing there. "It's Alice! What is she doing here at this hour?! We need to get dressed quickly," Adam said.

"Can't we just ignore her?" Emily asked, visibly annoyed by Alice's presence.

"Come on, get dressed," Adam urged. They both threw on their clothes as fast as they could and headed down to the front door.

Adam opened the door while Emily stood behind him, arms folded tightly across her chest.

"Good morning, Adam! I'm here for the surprise!" Alice chirped, her face full of excitement.

Without a word, Emily kicked the door shut, slamming it right in Alice's face.

"Please behave yourself, Emily," Adam said, a flash of uneasiness in his smile. Emily huffed and stormed off to the kitchen as Adam reopened the door. "Sorry about that! Please, come in."

Adam felt incredibly awkward as Alice stepped inside. "It's fine," she said happily. "I know she doesn't want me here. I'm only here for you, my love."

"Hahaha, alright... please, take a seat," Adam replied, scratching his head. He could feel the suffocating tension between his wife and his fiancée. He led Alice to a chair, noticing she was carrying several shopping bags. Alice set them on the table and sat down, while Adam and Emily took their seats on the opposite side. Emily have already set down drinks for everyone as her arms folded, staring Alice down.

The Uncle's Invitation

"What brings you here, Alice? What's the surprise?" Adam asked.

"Well, I've gotten in touch with your uncle, and he told me to meet him with you," Alice explained. "I've prepared some gifts for him, and he sent me the tickets to bring you there."

Adam was stunned. "Wait, why didn't he say anything to me when I messaged him? I haven't even told him about my wife yet. I was hoping to reveal everything face-to-face."

"Well, I already told him about your wife," Alice said, glancing at Emily's reaction. "He sent me three tickets for us to meet him at his house. So, don't worry."

Emily slammed her hand on the table. "You better not have badmouthed me to Adam's uncle!" she shouted.

Adam tried to calm her down. "You didn't say anything bad about my wife, right?"

Alice smirked, clearly trying to provoke her. The air grew tense as the two women locked eyes. "You mean about Emily being a slut and cheating on you behind your back?" Alice asked loudly.

"You little bitch!" Emily screamed, standing up.

"Please, Alice! Don't tell me you actually said that to my uncle?!" Adam pleaded, trying to restrain Emily.

"Nah, I don't waste my time talking about sluts," Alice clarified. "I just told him you're already married and would be coming with your wife."

Emily bit her lip, struggling to control her rage. She knew Alice was fishing for a reaction.

"That's good. We should clear this up with my uncle," Adam said, relieved.

"I didn't agree to her joining us! Why does she need to be there in the first place?" Emily demanded.

"Please, Emily, sit down," Adam urged. "It's better this way. We can clear everything up between me and Alice at once so this misunderstanding doesn't drag on."

"Fine!" Emily relented. "If it means this little bitch gets out of our lives for good, I'll go."

"Slut," Alice mumbled under her breath.

"Alright, both of you need to calm down," Adam said firmly. "No more name calling. This is an important meeting. I've never met my uncle before, and I want to make a good impression. Please, behave for my sake."

"Fine, I'll do it for you, Adam," Emily said, though she was shaking. "But if this little... girl... calls me another name, I won't hold back."

"Of course, I'll do it for you, my love," Alice added, gazing lovingly at Adam. Emily felt her blood boil.

The Departure

Upstairs, Adam's duplicates were secretly packing luggage. Suddenly, a loud thud echoed through the house.

"What was that sound? Is there someone else here?" Alice asked, looking toward the ceiling. Adam and Emily froze, worried she'd discover their powers.

"It must have been the wind knocking something over," Adam lied quickly.

"I'll go see what fell and bring the luggage down," Emily said, heading upstairs to coordinate with the duplicates.

While she was gone, Adam asked Alice, "Do you need the restroom before we start the long journey?"

"Yeah, that's so sweet of you, my love," Alice said, standing up and moving closer to him. She leaned in and whispered, "If you want, you could come with me," before winking and walking away. Adam stood there, stunned by her boldness.

He quickly sent out more duplicates to pack food from the fridge. By the time Alice emerged from the bathroom, Emily was already downstairs with all the bags.

"That was fast! How did you get everything ready so quickly?" Alice asked, suspicious.

"Hahaha, magic! It's a secret!" Adam joked. Alice brushed it off and followed them to the door.

As they stepped outside, they saw a car waiting at the curb.

"Did anyone call for a car?" Adam asked. Both women shook their heads.

Suddenly, the door opened and Brad stepped out. "Hey guys! Kwaru sends his regards. He told me to escort you to the train station," Brad announced loudly.

Adam and Emily looked at each other in complete confusion, wondering why the Spiritual Realm was getting involved in their family visit.
