"It's a beautiful day... There's nothing better to start it than looking at the sea."Near the island shore, a long-nosed boy shouted happily.
"All right, it's time for work!"Usopp then ran towards the village, shouting like he usually did.
"PIRATES ARE HERE!"

"I fooled them again like always! HAAHHA!"Usopp laughed as he sat on a tree branch. Down below, all the gathered villagers started to head back.
"Ah! There you are."Soon, Usopp heard his Great Usopp Crew calling him. He looked down and saw Piiman and Ninjin greeting him.
"Hey! Where's Tamanegi?" Usopp asked, not seeing him around.
Then they heard someone running and shouting. All of them turned and saw it was Tamanegi.
"PIRATES! RUN! PIRATES ARE HERE!"
Tamanegi, running in terror, saw Usopp and the others. He stopped and said, panting heavily:
"It's bad, you guys. I saw Buggy's pirate ship."
Usopp, Piiman, and Ninjin looked at each other and said, "You're lying."

"Seems like forever since I last stood on solid ground." Zoro stretched his body as he stepped onto the island.
"That's because you were asleep the whole time," Lucen said.
"Oh yeah? Not as much as you," Zoro shot back sharply.
"WOAH! There really is an island here!" Luffy said excitedly.
"What did you expect? I was following the map, after all."Nami raised the map in her hands, trying to emphasize that with proper navigation skills and a map, you could indeed reach an island.
"There are four of them."Usopp said as he and the rest of his crew—three children—hid behind a bush.
"All right! Now we just have to find a musician and a big ship!" Luffy shouted, jumping.
"Huh? We don't need a musician, we need a cook!" Lucen argued angrily.
"No way! We first need a musician!" Luffy shouted back at Lucen.
Both of their heads collided as they argued.
"Cut it out, you guys," Nami said as she surveyed the island.
"Stop fighting. There are others here," Zoro said, placing his hand on his sword and looking at the bush where Usopp and his crew were hiding.
The others also looked curiously in that direction.
"Oh crap! They found us!"Usopp stood up and backed a few steps in fear when Zoro looked their way.
Ninjin, Piiman, and Tamanegi were filled with fear. They immediately turned and ran towards the village.
"WAIT! WAAA!"Usopp shouted, his eyes teary. His fear increased knowing he was left alone, but he gathered his courage and turned around.
'I can't let these pirates get to the village. I have to stop them here.' Usopp thought courageously, but his shaking legs and pale expression gave another impression—like he was paralyzed with fear.
Lucen blinked as he stared at Usopp's long nose and said in amazement,"First that big red nose, now a person who has a nose just like Pinocchio."
"Pinocchio? What's that?" Nami asked.
"Well, you see—"As Lucen was about to tell Nami the tale of Pinocchio, Usopp shouted:
"Go away, pirates! This land is under the protection of the Great Pirate Fleet, and I am its leader—Captain Usopp!"
"It's best you quietly escape, or my 80 million men won't let you go!"Usopp said with great confidence, trying not to show his inner fear.
"Can so many people even stand on this island?" Lucen asked doubtfully.
"Huh? Let me think..."Usopp crossed his arms and rubbed his chin, thinking hard.
"It seems that's not possible," Usopp answered honestly.
"Come on, what are you asking? It's clear as day that he's lying," Nami said to Lucen with an irritated face.
"OH NO! YOU GOT ME!"Usopp shouted, tears flowing from his eyes as he held his head with both hands.
"Well, you already said it yourself," Nami replied with a deadpan expression.
"Shishishi~ You're so fun!"Luffy laughed hard, watching Usopp act all stupid and cowardly.
"Don't laugh! I am The Great Usopp!"Usopp loudly declared to Luffy with a serious expression.
"Hmm, this nose didn't grow big. Seems like lying doesn't make it bigger, so that means it's natural,"Lucen said as he closely examined Usopp's nose.
"What goes on in your head?"Zoro muttered as he looked at Lucen. He couldn't figure it out—not that he wanted to.

"So, you guys are looking for a companion and a ship, huh?"Usopp asked with a smile, watching Luffy devour food from plate to plate.
"Auntie, more food!" Luffy shouted with an empty plate. Currently, they were all in a tavern in Syrup Village.
Then Luffy looked at Usopp and answered,"Yes! A big ship! Shishishi~"
At the side, Zoro was chewing food and drinking sake at the same time. Lucen was trying to steal Nami's food while she was focused on Luffy and Usopp's conversation.
"A big ship? I doubt you'll find one here, but a small one might be possible. There's only one place in town that might provide one,"Usopp said, then continued by telling them about the mansion and the sick lady living there. Her parents had died a year ago due to illness.
"You know, even if you have all the money in the world, it doesn't make you any less sorrowful,"Usopp sighed, thinking about it.
Nami, who heard that, looked down at her empty plate with sorrow.Lucen and Zoro noticed and felt a bit awkward.
Lucen thought she wouldn't be sad just because he ate her food. Then he heard her say:
"Never mind."Nami took a long sigh.
"Thank you, Nami!"Lucen breathed in relief, thinking Nami had forgiven him.
"What?"Nami blinked in confusion, but she still proceeded to say what she was going to.
"Let's forget about the ship. We'll search for one somewhere else."
"Okay! But we can stay here for a while. I still need more meat, and we can restock supplies,"Luffy said.
"Right. We need more sake. We can at least put that in Lucen's pocket,"Zoro added, wiping leftover sake from his mouth.
"My 4-D Pocket is not for storing your stupid sake!"Lucen shouted in disagreement.
"Oh come on! Sake is the soul of a swordsman!"Zoro shouted back.
As Zoro and Lucen were almost ready to fight, Usopp spoke up.
"Hey, you said you guys were looking for someone to join you, right? So how about you take me as your captain!"Usopp said with confidence as solid as ice.
A silence fell.
Then they all replied together:"Never mind."
"WHAT?!"Usopp shouted and slammed his head on the table.
"Mmm… Wait, my food?"Nami suddenly remembered. She turned angrily to Lucen, who tried to back away but hit a wall.
"Wait, Nami! Let's just order more—OUCH!"Nami tightly grabbed Lucen's ear.
"Then why don't you order instead of eating my food?! I know you just want me to pay for all your food!"Nami shouted angrily.
"Wait—you're not paying for it, Nami?"Luffy stopped eating, Zoro as well.
"Of course not! Pay for your own food bill, hmph!"Nami huffed.
Hearing this, both of them broke into a cold sweat. They were broke. Slowly, they turned to look at Usopp.
"What? Why are you looking at me?"Usopp asked.
