Lucas looked at Julia coldly. Julia felt that he was going to devour her alive. This was when she heard his demon-like voice.
"You fed her an entire bottle of cough syrup, and that too an expired one," Lucas said, coldness emanating from his blue eyes. "Because you were tired of her coughing."
"I didn't mean to hurt her—" Julia tried to explain her stance.
"It doesn't matter. You did hurt her," he cut in. "She was entrusted in your care. And she almost died."
Julia's voice cracked. "Mr. Lucas, please—"
"You are no longer welcome in this house," he said quietly. "Or anywhere near my daughter. Get out!"
Lucas then looked at the doorway, "Daniel."
His assistant stepped in instantly, like he'd been waiting.
"Begin the process. Pull out all Blackwood industries investments in Whitmore Group. Inform their partners. By tonight, I want the Whitmore Corporation wiped away from the face of the earth."
Julia gasped. "No—you're destroying my family!"
