Chapter 246 - Chapter 246: Why Is It Always You Again?

"Damn it… damn it!" Belmod roared inside his own head. Rage, humiliation, resentment, regret every poisonous emotion tangled together until his mind nearly snapped.

Then his eyes flashed.

"There's no need to keep fighting. Le… Levos this game, you win."

Before the words even finished leaving his mouth, he vanished in a blink and dove straight into the barrier the gods had raised.

That move stunned everyone.

Not only did the gods freeze, even Goku and the others stared in disbelief.

Goku's face fell with pure disappointment. "I thought we were finally going to see Levos go all out…"

Just as everyone assumed the conflict would end there, the massive phantom's sword trajectory shifted.

The titanic blade began lowering slowly, relentlessly toward the gods' position.

"This is the perfect chance to calm everything down… and Levos isn't moved at all." Piccolo was genuinely shocked.

"Hmph." Frieza wore a cold, satisfied smile. "These spoiled gods deserve to be uprooted completely. Just like how I used to put down wild monkeys."

"Would Levos really do it…?" someone murmured, uneasy.

On the other side, the gods watched the enormous sword descend and erupted in fury.

"Arrogant! How dare you show such disrespect to the gods!"

"Even if this attack is beyond our expectations, do you really think you can kill a God of Destruction with it?!"

"Boy, don't get cocky! Let's see if you can endure what comes next!"

They shouted threats across the void.

"The game isn't over," Levos said calmly. His face was flat, emotionless. "My attack only locks onto the participants of the game. If you want to block it… be my guest."

Everyone hesitated.

The Supreme Kais wavered most of all.

Supreme Kai Roh spoke carefully, voice small. "We Supreme Kais can't contribute here. How about we withdraw to a safe distance, and let the Gods of Destruction handle that mortal…"

The Gods of Destruction refused immediately.

"His strength is impressive, sure but break through a barrier we're all maintaining by himself? Delusional."

"Blocking one sword swing is effortless."

With that, each God of Destruction drew on their trump-card power and poured it into the barrier, meeting Levos's descending strike head-on.

On the barrier, waves of Destruction aura rose so terrifying it spread across the universe in an instant.

At the same time, the halo behind Levos blazed brighter and brighter, and the divine phantom condensed until it was almost solid.

Crack… crack… crack…

A steady series of fractures sounded.

The divine greatsword hadn't even touched the barrier yet, and the surface was already splitting.

The Gods of Destruction turned ashen.

None of them had imagined a "mortal's" attack could be this terrifying.

The next heartbeat

The barrier and the sword collided.

They held for a brief moment.

Then

CRACK!

With a crisp, shattering sound, the barrier collapsed completely.

"How is this possible?!"

"This human… he's too strong. We couldn't hold it…"

The Gods of Destruction were forced to retreat in all directions.

Divine power exploded outward, punching through space itself.

It looked like a mirror shattering everywhere around them.

Black vortexes and crack gaping rifts opened across the battlefield, radiating strange, ominous fluctuations that felt like they could swallow any matter instantly.

Even Gods of Destruction had to avoid those areas, pulling back from the corrupted gaps.

Belmod threw his head back and laughed. "That was your only chance to kill us. Now you're dead!"

One after another, the Gods of Destruction appeared, surrounding Levos in a tightening ring.

"Kid, beating us with raw power doesn't mean anything. The real fight starts now!"

"We'll bury you along with this universe!"

Dark purple flames surged across every god's body.

At this point, Quitela stopped caring about collateral damage. He was the first to lunge.

Boom !

Levos gripped the sword with both hands and braced it across his body, blocking the impact.

But the next instant, attacks came from every direction.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Levos deflected them one by one, but the barrage was too dense. Every clash made the halo behind him tremble slightly.

"Push harder!" Belmod bellowed. "Drag it out! As soon as this brat's divine power runs dry, we can kill him!"

Inside the cube ship, Goku and the others' faces changed drastically.

"This is really bad for Levos…"

"To think gods can't even accept losing their own game…"

"I can't watch this anymore!" Frieza snapped.

Everyone was furious.

But at this level, none of them could interfere. They could only pace and panic, helpless.

Then an ear-splitting shout ripped across the battlefield.

"Stop! Stop it!"

A small figure burst into existence from the void, panting, her expression exhausted.

In the next breath, she shifted into her adult form and swept her hand through the air.

In an instant, countless black vortexes stopped spinning.

Everyone paused and turned toward her.

"Why is it always Chronoa?" Levos muttered to himself. "She keeps running to this timeline what, is she that bored?"

The gods' expressions also grew cautious the moment they saw her.

"The Supreme Kai of Time…?"

"Why isn't she staying in the Time Nest?"

"Probably hunting some time-travelers again. Get rid of her quickly and continue…"

With eerie coordination, both the Gods of Destruction and Levos stopped fighting.

Seeing that, Chronoa finally let out a breath. Her gaze swept across the field, then settled on Levos.

"Why is it always you?"

Levos raised a brow. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Look at what you've done to this universe!" Chronoa jabbed a finger at the torn space around them. "Are you trying to punch a permanent invasion route open for the Demon Realm?!"

Levos frowned. "How is this only my fault?"

Chronoa snorted. "Because every time this timeline explodes, you're in the middle of it. And now you've even provoked this many gods at this rate, they won't even bother governing the universe properly anymore!"

The gods' eyes bulged and they immediately defended themselves.

"Nonsense! Our attitude toward governing is extremely serious!"

"Exactly! We're doing this to eliminate a threat to the safety of all universes!"

"Yes! We have no selfish motives at all! This has nothing to do with personal grudges!"

"We're protecting every universe this is a solemn matter!"

"This mortal must bear the responsibility!"

All of them pointed at Levos, shoving every ounce of blame onto him.

"Mmm." Chronoa nodded with grave seriousness then fixed Levos with a hard stare.

"So if you don't want to be killed by the gods… join my Time Patrol."

Even while she spoke, she didn't stop working. She lifted her hand and extended five slender, pale fingers, repairing the vortexes and crack that kept spreading and refused to close.

The moment she said it, the gods' faces changed.

"The Supreme Kai of Time wants him in the Time Patrol?"

"The Time Patrol… the organization that fights the Demon Realm?"

"Then his growth will become even more terrifying…"

Unease spread through the gods like poison.

Belmod ground his teeth. "We can't let him join that organization!"

"Supreme Kai of Time," he shouted, "you have no right to take that mortal away before we judge him!"

As his words fell

The Gods of Destruction's auras surged again, climbing higher and higher.
