Chapter 97: The Fall of Enies Lobby
A huge roar and tremor swept across the entire island. Immediately after, an ear-piercing alarm tore through the sky, making the faces of every soldier stationed there change color.
One by one, Marine soldiers and government agents, weapons in hand, emerged from the buildings and, following specific routes, rushed toward the source of the sound and vibration.
In the sky-blotting smoke and dust, crimson gazes flickered, and massive shadows were faintly visible.
The next second, a giant weapon, filled with endless rage, tore through the smoke and emerged, crashing down heavily where the soldiers were gathered.
BOOM—
In an instant, the entire passage crumbled, along with the surrounding buildings, turning into rubble. One by one, soldiers and agents were sent flying by the shockwave amidst their screams, coughing up blood as they rained down from the sky.
Just then, a giant hand reached out from the smoke and dust, waving it away and revealing several massive figures to the remaining soldiers. A group of giants, each over ten meters tall and exuding an awe-inspiring aura, stood amidst the collapsed buildings, swinging their giant weapons to level one building after another.
Two giants, each over twenty meters tall and carrying a greatsword and a giant axe respectively, revealed two furious faces to the agents. The next second, an angry roar resounded, creating a visible ripple in the air. "How dare you deceive the warriors of Elbaf?!"
The agents and Marines' faces changed drastically, filled with disbelief.
"It's... giants!"
"Why are there other giants here?!"
Brogy swung his hand, splitting a house in two, then roared with a grin, "Kashii! Oimo!"
"We've come to take you home!!"
Not far away, the two giants who were rushing to the battlefield froze. The familiar voices brought a look of reminiscence to their eyes. Their hearts pounded, and they subconsciously quickened their pace, not even realizing they were trampling Marines and agents underfoot.
"That's—"
"That's Captain Dorry's and Captain Brogy's voices!"
The two giants ignored the angry curses of the Marines beneath their feet and quickly entered the battlefield. The next moment, the massive figures rampaging across Enies Lobby entered their line of sight. At the very front of the giants, two particularly tall figures in capes were on a destructive rampage, swinging their weapons to smash building after building. Head-sized rubble fell like rain, causing numerous casualties.
Dorry gripped his sword with both hands and swept it across, cutting several buildings in half at the waist. A powerful hurricane swept up the severed houses, sending them crashing into the direction of the still-approaching soldiers.
BOOM—
"Aaaargh!" The roar grew more and more intense, and the soldiers' screams became more and more piercing.
The scene unfolding before them left Kashii and Oimo momentarily dazed.
The next moment, an island-wide broadcast from the Tower of Justice reached everyone's ears.
"Hey, Kashii, Oimo!"
"How long are you going to stand there and watch?!"
"Hurry up and capture those unidentified giants!"
The arrogant and domineering voice brought the entire battlefield to a standstill. Black lines appeared on everyone's foreheads. They didn't understand. It was obvious that these giants were related to Oimo and Kashii. Why was this commander from a CP organization still able to say such a thing?
Inside the Tower of Justice, several high-ranking agents stationed there looked at their commander's disgraceful behavior with utter contempt. They subtly took a few steps back, as if wanting to distance themselves from this fool.
The next second, the two giants who had guarded this place for fifty years heard the order and slowly raised their weapons. Beside them, the soldiers and agents were stunned for a moment, then let out a thunderous cheer. Although they didn't know what had happened, as long as Kashii and Oimo still obeyed the World Government, everything was fine.
However, the next second, their cheers froze. They stared blankly at the dark shadows that now covered them from above.
BOOM—
Under the CP chief's signal, Kashii and Oimo had indeed launched an attack. But their targets were the "comrades" who had been cheering just a second before.
A giant club and a cold battle-axe came crashing down in a cross pattern, smashing toward the soldiers below. At the same time, an indescribable rage appeared on their faces as they roared through gritted teeth.
"You bastards! You actually tricked us into guarding this gate for so many years!"
"Face the wrath of the giants of Elbaf!"
Under the watchful eyes of all the soldiers, the two giants who had been here for fifty long years easily defected to the side attacking Enies Lobby, launching an assault on their former colleagues.
On the other side, Brogy and the others turned to look at the two familiar figures behind them. The corners of their mouths turned up in a nostalgic smile.
"Gegyagyagyagya!"
"Kabababababa!"
"Kashii, Oimo! We're back!"
Seeing them, Kashii and the other giant burst into tears, sobbing as they replied, "Captains! We thought you were imprisoned in the great undersea prison!"
Dorry swung his sword again, leveling a large swath of buildings. Without looking back, he said, "We'll talk about other things later! The key now is to tear this place down!"
Brogy turned his head, showing his profile to his two crewmates. "This place is quite close to Marine Headquarters! We can't afford to waste time!"
Just then, the arrogant and domineering voice once again sounded from the broadcast. "I see. So those two are the captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates?"
"Tch. To think the secret was exposed after they only guarded the gate for fifty years. How boring!"
Gerd and the others were furious, gritting their teeth. "These guys! How can they speak of such a despicable act with such pride!" The faces of the others beside her also fell completely. Fifty years, even for giants whose lifespan was three times that of humans, was a very long time.
"Unforgivable."
"Despicable bastards."
The CP chief seemed to have learned about Dorry and Brogy and understood everything.
"You're nothing but giants with a measly bounty of 100 million Berries! We've already notified the Marines! You damned giants are finished!!"
To this, Dorry and Brogy lowered their heads, their entire faces buried in shadow.

Under everyone's gaze, the two giants slowly raised their cold, heavy weapons. The airflow of the entire island became chaotic, forming a fierce hurricane that radiated outward from the two of them as the center.
A sudden sense of crisis enveloped the hearts of all the soldiers, making them tremble.
Dorry took a heavy step forward, his hands gathering strength. "Hey, Brogy, you heard that, right?"
Brogy, who had made the same motion, nodded lightly. "That's right. That bastard said he notified the Marines. In that case, we can't annihilate everyone here!"
"Then let's sink that foul-mouthed bastard into the sea first!"

The next second, the two of them simultaneously swung down their weapons, which were wreathed in powerful Haki.
"HAKOKU!"

A majestic shockwave and outwardly released Haki burst forth from their weapons, directly pulverizing the building complexes that stood in their path and tearing up the thick rock and soil of the surface. An immeasurable amount of earth was thrown into the air, blotting out the sky.
The Haki shockwave instantly pierced through the giant courthouse, shattering it into pieces, and then plunged straight into the Tower of Justice, reflected in the eyes of the CP chief and his few agents.
