Chapter 4 - The One Who Devours The All

A Devastated World, plunged into endless war.

War shouts, filled with boundless killing intent and deep hatred echoed across the battlefield as hundreds of millions of soldiers fought.

People fell one after another, and before their bodies could be retrieved and buried honorably for fighting in the war, new soldiers rushed in to take their place—trampling the dead underfoot, crushing them into a bloody mess, and turning them into nourishment for the soil, dyeing it a deep blood-red.

Broken limbs, mangled flesh, and half-shattered bodies clad in armor were scattered everywhere, but amidst a war involving hundreds of millions, such scenes appeared insignificant.

As the soldiers fought, they couldn't help but glance at the sky from time to time.

Another war—far more terrifying than the one taking place on the ground—was raging above.

The number of combatants in the sky was far fewer than those on land, but the destruction they caused across the heavens was far greater than what the hundreds of millions below could ever dream of achieving.

The sky was mostly obscured by the blood mist rising from the corpses of fallen soldiers, but even through the red haze, those on the ground could see colossal beasts moving above, destroying everything in their path.

From time to time, enormous bodies crashed down from the sky, crushing tens of thousands of soldiers fighting on the ground, transforming the crash site into a desolate zone filled with the thick scent of blood and the presence of death.

ROAR!

Suddenly, from behind one of the ground armies, an earth-shaking roar erupted, and a gigantic figure—so massive that it reached into the heavens—emerged.

The figure's form was so vast that even when soldiers raised their heads to look, they could not see its end.

"A Titan!" Many soldiers screamed in despair when they saw the gargantuan figure, and their bodies instinctively stiffened.

ROAR!

The Titan roared once more and, with a single step, crossed thousands of kilometers, crushing millions of soldiers beneath its feet.

Simultaneously, it extended one of its massive arms and grabbed a flying creature—a giant dragonlike beast—dragging it toward its gaping mouth.

ROAR!

A dragon's roar, filled with despair echoed across the sky as the massive dragonlike creature—caught by the Titan—was tossed into its mouth.

Although the dragon was mountain-sized to the people, in front of the Titan, it couldn't resist even slightly and was devoured whole—without leaving behind even bones.

As the Titan continued slaughtering people and the beings in the sky like chopping vegetables, a long sigh suddenly echoed across the battlefield, drowning out all other sounds.

"Even the Titan King, who calls himself the Protector of the Sun has fallen."

As that voice reverberated, the army being massacred by the Titan King slowly parted.

A man, dragging a giant blood-red sword, almost as tall as himself, stepped forward—walking directly toward the Titan.

Compared to the sky-reaching Titan King, the man looked smaller than an insect, but the boundless murderous aura emitting from the long sword in his hand was something even the Titan could not ignore.

ROAR!

The Titan King roared like a mindless beast and suddenly began charging at the man as if it sensed danger from him and wanted to annihilate him before continuing its carnage.

Sigh!

The man sighed again and began to run toward the Titan King.

As he leaned forward while dragging his sword, the next second—his body transformed into a red meteorite and vanished.

The battlefield fell completely silent.

All sound ceased to exist.

A few seconds later—

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The world finally registered the man's movement, and a terrifying sonic boom, accompanied by a ring-shaped shockwave spread in all directions.

Under the terrifying power of the shockwave, within a radius of nearly one hundred kilometers—millions of soldiers belonging to the Titan King's army exploded into blood and flesh.

Their bodies shattered, and gore flew in every direction.

A massive gully, like a river of erupting magma extended from the place where the man had stood all the way to the charging Titan King.

ROAR!

The charging Titan suddenly roared in agony, and its massive body halted.

A fountain of blood erupted from its sky high chest, raining down and flooding hundreds of kilometers of the battlefield.

The Titan King, whose head towered into the sky, slowly lowered it and looked at his chest where his heart was located.

There, a small hole—no bigger than a toothpick—had pierced through his massive form, revealing the scenery behind him.

Through that tiny wound, the Titan could see a man hovering high in the sky behind him—holding a massive blood-red sword.

For a being of such size, the hole was minuscule—almost ignorable—but an indescribable power radiated from the small wound.

That power wreaked havoc from within, and the hole began to grow larger, slowly disintegrating the Titan King's enormous body.

The Titan King staggered backward as his body began collapsing.

The man floating high above behind the Titan suddenly disappeared.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Like a meteor, the Titan's colossal body fell to the earth.

Even as it lay sprawled across the land, its body was so massive that it looked like a mountain range—veiled in clouds and blood mist.

Its planet-like eyes—once filled with madness—were now inky black.

"Rest well, old friend."

Suddenly, the man carrying the long sword reappeared, hovering beside the Titan's ear.

When the Titan King heard that voice, the madness in his eyes slowly faded.

The dark inkiness drained away from his eyes and was replaced by a blazing golden glow—like twin suns igniting inside his eyes.

"W-will you be able to finish them?" The Titan King asked in a hoarse, weakening voice.

The man raised his gaze, peering through the crimson mist toward the terrifying figures that filled the universe.

"I don't have enough power to stop them," He answered softly.

"But…"

He closed his eyes briefly, and when he opened them again, they were glowing with a terrifying brilliance that made the universe itself tremble.

"Even though I am not capable of stopping them, in the coming of the final era, the last remaining fire of my race—The One Who Devours The All—

shall bring a true end to this endless war."

As the man spoke, the very world around him began to crack—

Bang!

—and then shattered into countless fragments, as if everything had been nothing more than an illusion.

Inside a dimly lit room, the light of the shining sun filtered through thin curtains and fell on the face of a boy, gently waking him from his sleep.
