Scene 1 – The Nightshade Garden, Under Moonlight
The night had come alive in Velaris, but its beauty was lost on Lyra as she stood alone in the Nightshade Garden, looking at the distant silhouette of Fort Riven against the starlit sky. Shadows stretched over the vast garden, where blood-red roses blossomed under the cold moonlight. The winds whispered of secrets, of promises made and broken, and of love that was about to break its bounds.
She gripped the silver hilt of her dagger, feeling the cool metal against her skin, her heart thudding in her chest like the war drums that beat for what was to come.
Kaelrin was there. Just a few steps behind, watching her. His presence was a storm in itself — silent, yet felt. And Thorne... he wasn't far either.
> "Lyra," Kaelrin's voice broke through the silence, sending a chill down her spine. She didn't turn to face him, but she knew he was standing just out of reach. "The war council is about to begin. It's time."
Lyra closed her eyes for a moment, trying to steady the whirlwind inside her. A part of her wanted to walk away, to hide from the danger, but there was no turning back now. She had made her choice. Or had she?
"Just a moment," she whispered, her voice barely audible. She could feel his gaze on her back, like fire. When she finally turned, their eyes met — cold, determined, and full of questions.
> "What are you thinking?" Kaelrin asked, his voice softer now, more vulnerable.
She didn't answer at first. Instead, her gaze flickered to the darkened horizon, where a storm was gathering, both in the skies and in her heart. "I'm thinking about the price of war. About what it costs... and who I'll have to betray to save those I love."
Kaelrin stepped closer, his boots soft on the earth. "You won't have to betray anyone, Lyra. Not if we stand together."
> "We're already standing together," she replied, but her voice had lost some of its conviction.
The words hung in the air like the storm clouds above. They were standing on the edge of something dangerous, something that could either bind them together or tear them apart. It was as if the very earth beneath them was shifting, waiting for the final spark to ignite.
Before either of them could speak, a voice broke through the tension.
> "I don't want to interrupt," Thorne's voice was smooth, like honey, but there was an underlying edge to it. He had been standing in the shadows, watching them both. His eyes flicked from Kaelrin to Lyra. "But the council is about to start. Shall we go?"
Lyra turned sharply, her body instinctively taking a step back. She wasn't sure what to feel anymore — desire? Anger? Confusion? Perhaps all of them. Thorne was dangerous, his words as sharp as his blade, but there was something about him that drew her in like a magnet.
Kaelrin's eyes narrowed as he looked at Thorne, the unspoken challenge between them palpable. But he didn't speak, just nodded. The time for words was over.
They turned and walked together, heading towards the war council's hidden chambers, the weight of what was to come pressing down on them like a thick fog.

Scene 2 – The War Council, Fort Riven
Inside the walls of Fort Riven, the war council was already in session. Maps covered the long wooden table, with markers representing key locations and troop movements. The air was thick with tension, as each noble and military leader awaited the arrival of their queen — and the two men who fought for her heart.
Lyra entered the chamber, followed closely by Kaelrin and Thorne. The room fell silent. The nobles and generals stood as one, bowing their heads in deference. But Lyra didn't see them. Her gaze immediately found the Queen, standing at the head of the table, her eyes sharp and calculating.
> "Lyra, Kaelrin, Thorne," the Queen's voice was cold, commanding. "We're gathered here to make decisions that will change the course of this war. We don't have time for petty squabbles."
Lyra nodded, but her mind was elsewhere. The council had already begun to discuss the strategy — the movements, the alliances, and the enemies they were about to face. But she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. Her eyes flickered to Kaelrin, standing strong beside her, then to Thorne, whose eyes seemed to burn with something darker.
> "The time for war is upon us," the Queen continued. "And we must choose the path that leads to victory."

Scene 3 – Secrets Revealed, Hearts Broken
As the council meeting progressed, Lyra felt the weight of her choices. She had already betrayed her own heart — and now, she was being asked to betray everything else. She could feel the pressure mounting as Kaelrin and Thorne both stood at odds, their rivalry threatening to break the fragile peace between them.
> "What will you choose, Lyra?" the Queen's voice cut through her thoughts. "Will you stand with the kingdom? Or will you choose... love?"
Lyra's heart raced. She didn't have an answer. She couldn't. Not when she knew that each decision she made would come with consequences — for herself, for her kingdom, and for the two men who held her heart in their hands.
