Moira raised an eyebrow before laughing. "I'm sorry, but slang of any kind doesn't really suit you." My eyebrows twitched as I muttered, "It doesn't sound weird when I say slang; it's just everyone else who hears weird things. Yeah, that has to be the case."
As Frederick muttered to himself, he suddenly focused on Moira. "Wait, how many times have you died? Nine or ten?" Moira raised an eyebrow at that. "Nine, of course. I thought we already went over this?"
I chuckled. "Yeah, I know. Just making sure." I then asked, "So, are we really going to do this? It is a bit risky after all." She merely smiled, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. "It's risky, yes, but this is an idea I wouldn't have come up with without you. Frankly, I have little hope that everything will go well after living through what? Three—no, four—lives where everything went right for mutants, then it didn't. So this plan wouldn't change much if it fails; at most, things will reset."
My smile faltered for a moment before I nodded in agreement. "I suppose you're right, but there's still the fact that once the universe ends, or a reality-altering event occurs, we won't be able to keep this peace. We'd be back at square one, or mutants could experience excessive deviation."
At the mention of excessive deviation, Moira's expression grew serious. "Indeed, that's something we need to worry about. However, I've already come up with a solution. You know my 'cure'? I just modified it a little and diluted it. Mutants will have to take it after about fifty years, and for the next thousand, it won't be a problem."
Frederick could only lament out loud, "Truly, being a genius makes life much easier." Wishing he had a level 5 intellect, he bent down to connect wires. Moira chimed in, "Well, yes, being gifted helps, but it's also a burden. Plus, I took partial inspiration from those human-robot hybrid freaks who ended the world."
Remembering scenes from the comics, a sly smile came to Frederick's face. "If I remember correctly, you and Wolverine had a very passionate relationship back then—"
Before he could finish, a small stone hit him in the head, knocking him down. Moira responded, "Could you stop remembering your peeping tom memories of my life and help me fix and reprogram this thing?"
Frederick sighed, his hopes of her forgetting dashed. He took off the backpack he was carrying and started following orders while grumbling.

Fifteen minutes later, with sore fingers, Frederick sighed as he sat down, waving to Moira. "Couldn't you have just, I don't know, made nanobots to do everything?" With a tired sigh, Moira, sitting next to him, replied, "As I've said before, time travelers exist. We can't just decide to use nanobots or anything automatic to help in the creation of what we need. The code will somehow be affected, and our plans will be for naught. It's as simple as that."
Sighing for what felt like the hundredth time that day, Frederick got up and started walking down the Master Mold's head. "Well, we better hurry along. Seventeen of our plans have already been scratched out this past week due to us not being in a hurry after all."
Moira frowned but soon got up. "Twenty-four, actually. Destiny died early. I also built and activated another disrupter just in case." Frederick nodded in acknowledgment before picking up his bags again, along with Moira's, as they walked off to another Master Mold.

Sitting in Moira's house, looking at the night sky, Frederick couldn't help but ask, "So, is this place really as safe as you make it out to be? Don't get me wrong; it's a nice place, but—"
He trailed off as Moira placed her phone on a table, causing a secret passage to open in the living room. She looked back at him, smirking. "You were saying? Freddy, if you have a secret base, I do too." Frederick's eyes widened. "How do you know about it? Not even the government knows!"
Genuinely surprised, Moira grabbed his arm and dragged him into her "woman cave." "That's very simple. In about five lives, you used that place as a refuge for mutants in need, expanding it to the size of a small village. Of course, that didn't stop you from being killed by both humans and mutants—and well, me, once."
Unshaken by the fact she had killed him, Frederick shrugged her hand off his arm and walked beside her. "So, if that's the case, how many lives was I able to save?" He looked down with a grim face, pretending to care for mutants and humans more than himself, uncaring of his own death.
Moira stopped, briefly, before saying, "Around 15,000 lives you saved, though only 200 of them survived to the end of my life."
Frederick placed a hand to his eyes, turning away as if holding back tears. He then turned back with a smile. "I would've been happy to save even one. Thank you, Moira. And just so you know, I hold no hard feelings towards dying to you. I know what you did was for peace after all."
As he walked along, Moira, with a blank expression now trailing behind him, thought, He reminds me of Charles, but also of Erik—mostly Charles. I almost feel bad using such a hopeful man for my purposes. However, I need to do what must be done, or everything will turn out the same.
Gaining a smile that almost seemed dead, she quickly replaced it with a more lively one as Frederick looked back at her. As they entered a lab, he asked, "So, Moira, what are we going to do here that will bring peace to humanity and mutantkind?"
Looking at his smile, Moira was momentarily stunned before responding, "Well, first, of course, we are going to make peace with robots—or rather, AI." She walked past him and removed a blanket covering something, revealing, "No way, that's Ultron!"
Moira merely nodded. "Indeed, this is an older version than the one you've seen through visions most likely. But I guess the symbol that later becomes their face never changes."
( A/N: I'm still writing this btw there is still more AI slop and translations that actual fanfics here i'm still going to finish this and my LOTM fic btw Fun Fact | In Marvel Peter Parker really is just the main character like i'm not joking he is but true fun fact Reed Richards created the Marvel universe or rather he led to its creation twice or like three times which is kinda crazy. )
