Auxiliary Volume: The Divine Origins of the World
> "In the beginning, there was no land, no sea, no light. Only tongues — eternal, alive, and waiting to be spoken."
ORIGIN OF THE WORLD:
Before the world had continents, it had glyphs — divine symbols etched into the void. The globe was not formed by erosion or tectonics, but by five eternal tongues, spoken in unison by the Makers, beings of incomprehensible light and shadow.
Each tongue created a Domain of Existence:
1. Kaleth – The Domain of Flesh
Life, mortality, and the rhythm of birth. All things that bleed or breathe were summoned by this tongue.
2. Oruel – The Domain of Memory
Time, prophecy, and echoes of the past. This domain holds the timeline together — and blurs it when angered.
3. Zephareth – The Domain of Thought
Intellect, dreams, codes, and invention. Everything imagined, drawn, or programmed comes from here.
4. Morenth – The Domain of Shadow
Secrets, death, forgetting. The veil behind all things. The pause between one heartbeat and the next.
5. The Living Code – The Fifth Tongue
A forbidden fusion of all the others. It is said to contain the original blueprint of the world. Now lost. Or hidden. Or both.
The five tongues were sealed behind ancient Gates, scattered across the world — each one buried beneath a city, a ruin, a cathedral, or a soul.
> "Whoever decodes the Living Code shall no longer be bound by life — but define it."
— Fragment of the Avekoth Prophecy
PRIMARY NATION: Velmora
A continent-nation in the Eastern Hemisphere of the New World, Velmora is the epicenter of forgotten power. It was the first land spoken into form — and the most feared by those who still remember the Tongues.
Key Locations:
Vallentera – The capital city, built upon encrypted ley lines. Towers whisper in the wind. The architecture itself conceals codes.
Neshira's Spine – A jagged mountain range carved by a fallen Maker during the War of Tongues. Entry is forbidden, but dream-walkers claim it still breathes.
Academy of Qaru – A floating island and ruined university once devoted to philosophy, now fractured by disappearances and memory breaks. Glyphs shift on its walls.
Avekoth – A drowned city below the Sea of Breath, only reachable through ritualized code. Said to contain a Gate and a library that writes back.
---
Governance:
Velmora is ruled by the Council of Truthbearers — guardians of the Old Knowledge. They forbid all pursuit of the Fifth Tongue. But every few generations, a glyph appears in blood, in fire, or in dream. It is always the same:
"Live to Decode."
This volume can serve as a prologue, an in-world manuscript, or a secret journal Aziel Moriah uses during the case.
