A week later, Fu Ming Shi picked up Ning Wei and DAWN's members and drove towards the countryside.
While Wu Lian Jie was busy trying to guess who the other guests were coming to the variety show, Ning Wei and the others decided to catch up on their sleep.
This time, they were going to the mountain area to shoot a program.
Since this program requires a lot of physical activity, it would be better for them to rest.
Wu Lian Jie continued to talk. However, since the others were not paying attention to him, Wu Lian Jie finally shut up.
Three hours later, the group arrived in J Town.
Fu Ming Shi parked the nanny car in front of the hotel where the members will be staying for the night.
Tomorrow morning, they will be meeting with the show's team and start the shooting.
Fu Ming Shi briefed the members on the schedule as he passed everyone their room key.
At the end of his speech, he looked at the members and raised a brow. "Any question?"
Wu Lian Jie raised a hand. "Brother Fu, the company is pretty generous to assign us to one room each. Actually, I don't mind sharing a room with my group members. Isn't that better? The company can save money, and we could use this chance to strengthen our bonds." He dropped his arms around Ning Wei casually. "Wei Wei and I can share a room."
Ning Wei removed the arms around her shoulder and shot Wu Lian Jie a look. "Don't speak nonsense. I don't want to share a room with you."
"Why not?"
"You snore."
"I did not snore." Wu Lian Jie looked offended.
"You do." Ning Wei chuckled.
"No. I don't."
"You do." Ding Chuan joined in. "Last time, after our concert in Capital City. You snore like a wild boar. The three of us could not sleep. Why do you think we went to the lounge to get a drink?"
That night, the three of them decided to visit the hotel's lounge as they could not bear Wu Lian Jie's snoring. They did not expect that Fu Ming Shi would find out and scold them for going.
When Wu Lian Jie heard that his team members went out without him, he was angry. He thought that the members went out to have fun without him.
They told Wu Lian Jie they went out without inviting him because he was asleep and would not wake up no matter what.
"Stop arguing." Fu Ming Shi sighed. "Most of the artists would be very happy to get a room each. Why are you complaining?" He shot a look at Wu Lian Jie. "I'm giving you one room each to let you get a proper rest. Remember. You have to wake up very early and climb up the mountain."
Wu Lian Jie looked as if he was going to cry whenever he heard their manager mentioning climbing up the mountain. He really was not a fan of outdoor activities. Just the thought of those weird-looking bugs staring back at him would make him shiver.
"Alright. You guys are dismissed. Go to your room and rest first. I will see you guys again for dinner." Fu Ming Shi snapped his finger before turning to Ning Wei. "Ning Wei, stay for a while. There's something I need to discuss with you."
Ning Wei merely shrugged as the other shot her a look.
Once the others were farther away, Ning Wei turned to her manager again. "Brother Fu, what is it?"
Fu Ming Shi tapped his fingers on his phone. "I just got an email. Ning Wei, do you remember I asked you if you wanted to try modeling on the side? You said you did not mind giving it a try. A few offers come over."
"That fast?" Ning Wei looked surprised.
When Fu Ming Shi suggested she try modelling, she agreed and thought that it would be a while before the company would find a job for her. Ning Wei did not expect that Fu Ming Shi would tell her that a few offers were waiting for her.
Fu Ming Shi clicked his tongue. "What are you saying? Am I not the best manager? Anyway, this offer came up before I brought up modelling to you. Some companies thought that you would match their aesthetic. There are a few companies who want you to become their spokesperson." He gave Ning Wei a look.
Ning Wei was quite pretty. Smooth skin and baby face look.
She was also good at styling herself to look like a man.
These days, Ning Wei was dubbed her fans' little brother because of her look.
"I'll send you the email," Fu Ming Shi said. With the tap of his fingers, Fu Ming Shi sent Ning Wei the details on the job. "You can take a look first and–"
"Brother Fu, I think it's better to work with a smaller company first," Ning Wei said before Fu Ming Shi could finish his words.
"Huh?" Fu Ming Shi looked confused.
A lot of celebrities would want to work with a bigger brand.
Why would Ning Wei want to work with smaller companies?
"I know that you are good at negotiating for me," Ning Wei continued. "But working with a smaller company would let me make a few demands." She leaned forward and whispered. "I just didn't want the company to ask me to reveal my skin."
Fu Ming Shi was stunned. He lowered his gaze to Ning Wei's chest area and understood what Ning Wei was worried about. "You don't have to worry about this. I have screened through the offer before sending you the details. The companies I sent to you will not ask you to take off your shirt in front of the camera."
Ning Wei smiled, knowing that Fu Ming Shi was really careful about protecting her identity. She understood well why her adoptive mother would want her to work with this man.
