Chapter 83 - "Miss of the Demons"

A long time ago.

In one of the human kingdoms — the Great Ice Kingdom.

In the palace of one of the noble families — Lambergin.

A beautiful and gentle girl was born.

She was born with a golden spoon in her mouth, never experiencing poverty, never facing suffering. She was born as a princess without a crown, waiting for her crown.

She was the first girl in the Lambergin family to be loved by everyone.

She never liked poverty; whenever she saw it, she fought it like a lion defending its cub.

She ended injustice and slavery in her region.

Wherever she walked, she spread goodness as if she were an angel incarnate in human form.

She freed everyone,

and in every land she set foot in, she brought light after darkness. And from here came her name — Zaloria.

When that young lady grew up and turned 15,

she was not like other children her age.

She did not spend her adolescence in reckless behavior; she was calm, graceful, very gentle, and her heart was purer than anyone could imagine.

She maintained her studies and worked hard, achieving excellence above all, and enemies began to appear one by one.

Some were envious, some hateful, some jealous, and some wished her harm.

But Zaloria paid no attention to anyone.

However, these adolescents were not kind.

In her second year, she began to experience severe bullying from many people.

Rumors about her spread to every corner of the school. Once loved by all, she became disliked by everyone for something she had not done.

Much and much hatred began to creep into her life until the light in her heart was extinguished.

She began to hate going to school.

Her parents asked her why, but she did not tell them about the abuse and bullying,

because her family had immense authority in the region, and if anyone knew that she was being harmed, it would destroy her family's rule — and perhaps even worse.

She did not want anyone to suffer, even if it meant her own life would become a living hell!

After some time, she finished her studies and was finally free from bullying.

But suddenly, family problems began:

—beatings,

—violence,

—discrimination,

—favoritism,

—harsh words,

—conflicts.

Zaloria had been favored in the family, but after the birth of her younger sister, everything changed.

Her younger sister believed the rumors about Zaloria and began to hate her because of the things being said about her.

She was taken away.

Zaloria tried very hard to be good to her, but it was no use!

She did not live the life she had hoped for with her younger sister.

From cruel loneliness, mental illnesses and hallucinations began to appear.

She would see many people playing with her, while in reality, no one was there — she was alone, and her father saw her in that state.

He looked at her with:

—fear,

—anxiety,

—astonishment,

—questions,

—hatred,

—loss of hope,

—disappointment.

After that incident, her father confined her to her room and forbade her from going outside, doing so to prevent the news from spreading and tarnishing his reputation.

Before closing the door, she smiled gently, innocently, angelically, but her heart had shattered — broken like glass crushed under immense pressure.

Her father saw that smile, and his emotions stirred slightly, but the words of others forced him to isolate her.

She looked at him one last time, a tear falling from her eye, and said:

> "I'm sorry for being born into this life. I wish I hadn't made you feel this shame. I'm sorry for being bad, sorry for wanting someone to play with me and imagining those things!"

Her father closed the door.

Even in her isolation, Zaloria found no peace.

People would stand by her window and throw stones at her, so she could not rest.

Her sister became the favored one, and Zaloria began to face intense hatred from everyone because of her.

Even so, Zaloria treated her sister with extreme kindness, softening even the hardest hearts,

but her sister hated her deeply.

She was not gentle with her and sent many people to bully and beat her.

In that situation, there was only one person who loved Zaloria and bore no hatred toward her: her mother.

Zaloria felt safe again, happy, and her mother favored her over her sister. But Zaloria asked her mother to favor her younger sister instead, so she would not feel sad — she cared deeply about her sister's feelings.

After a year, the king died, and a struggle for power began between the Lambergin and Leviron families.

They fought over rule and authority, and in the end, the Leviron family triumphed.

The kingdom was ruled by a girl named Ileria.

The Lambergin family was not satisfied with this, so they began to sabotage the rule. The system in the kingdom preferred death over being at the mercy of their enemies.

Because of this, Ileria accused them of high treason and imprisoned them all.

For the first time in her life, Zaloria experienced poverty.

She saw the harshness of life, watched her family suffer and die before her eyes.

One day, as her father returned from the bath, he was seized by a prisoner who killed him in the most horrific way before Zaloria, just to make her feel fear and terror and scream.

Zaloria's emotions began to falter; shock was evident on her face.

Fear crept into her mind and heart to the point she could no longer speak.

> "What is happening here? Am I dreaming?"

Many questions filled her mind.

During that week, Zaloria's sister began to improve, becoming kinder and getting to know her better.

Love exploded between them.

Emotions flowed like a waterfall.

Zaloria loved her very much; she was the only one with her.

But that joy did not last…

One day, her sister was taken and killed simply for being Zaloria's sister.

The next day, her mother was killed for giving birth to Zaloria, which alone was a massive sin.

The rumors spread about her destroyed her reputation in the kingdom entirely, and anyone close to her would die.

Zaloria did not know what to do; she was scared, alone, with no one to turn to. She wished for a hug from her mother and to hear,

> "My eldest sister."

Again…

Reality imposed itself. She began to cry, wanting someone to say "I love you" or ask how she was, someone to care about her existence…

Someone to hug her and make her feel safe again, but there was no one.

No one looked at her.

Zaloria began to smile —

a troubled smile,

an anxious smile,

a frightening smile,

a happy smile.

One of the guards saw her and began to feel uneasy because of her gaze and her twisted way of smiling.

He opened the cell door and entered — the biggest mistake of his life…

When he entered, Zaloria vanished before his eyes.

He began searching nervously, not finding her, and then he heard the sound of the cell door closing.

He looked back and saw Zaloria looking at him with the same twisted smile, and suddenly fire engulfed the man.

He screamed and screamed, begging Zaloria to help him.

But Zaloria felt immense pleasure and delight.

She began to dance and laugh loudly, spinning around.

His screams were a beautiful melody to her; the sound of his agony was a lovely tune.

Then silence fell, and the man turned to ash.

Zaloria looked at him with boredom and said:

> "Well, that was boring. Your screaming and suffering were very enjoyable. I haven't felt this kind of pleasure in my entire life. Why did you die so quickly?"

Zaloria smiled…

A wide, terrifying, horrifying, evil, devilish smile.

> "There are still many humans left with beautiful melodies!"

To be continued…
