"This damn red eyes… I really can't control my anger," Luceniel muttered, his voice trembling as he hugged Elunara tightly. She was shaking in his arms.
"I'm sorry… I promise you, I'll never show you my red eyes again…"
"It's okay. I know how you feel right now," Elunara whispered, her voice soft but laced with fear. "But please… stay serene."
Luceniel buried his head in her chest, and Elunara gently patted his head. They stayed like that, locked in silence for nearly twenty minutes. Finally, Luceniel's breathing slowed, his aura softened, and the light in his eyes faded back to normal.
"…Are my eyes normal again?" he asked in a slow, weary tone.
Elunara cupped his cheek and smiled faintly. "Yes… they're back to normal."
"…It's really hard to stay calm after hearing something like that, right?" Luceniel's voice was sad. "You're stronger than me, Elunara…"
The atmosphere of the house was utterly still.
Elunara gently held Luceniel's arm as he lay down, staring at the ceiling.
"Luceniel, I think we should return to Country I for a few days… don't you think?"
Luceniel gave her a tired smile and pulled her into a hug. "It's not worth it anymore… I don't want to lose you. Not now."
His voice was calm—but carried the echo of restrained fury.
"…But your father died, and your mother is missing. Don't you want to see your dad… one last time?" Elunara asked softly, still patting his back to soothe him.
Luceniel said nothing. He didn't want to talk about it anymore.
"Let's go to sleep," he finally said. "We can discuss it tomorrow. But… do you want something to eat before bed?"
Still holding her in his arms, he didn't want to let go of her warmth.
"No, I'm fine," Elunara replied. "Let's just sleep now. We'll talk tomorrow."
In their room, Luceniel and Elunara lay side by side, trying to rest. But Luceniel couldn't sleep. Guilt gnawed at him from within.
(I should never give chances to people who never try to improve…)
His expression was both calm and broken.
Elunara noticed. She hugged him tightly.
"It's not your fault. You're just too kind… even to those who try to hurt you," she whispered sweetly.
"…It's my fault—for being kind," Luceniel replied, his voice grave yet gentle. "Kindness isn't always the key to peace. If you want to protect someone… you have to fight."
He wrapped his arms around Elunara and closed his eyes, trying again to find sleep—but the storm within him didn't rest.
12:00 AM – Country A
Outside their house, a figure appeared from thin air. His face remained hidden, but he gave off the sense that something extraordinary had just occurred.
"You were right… the burning light of God," he said, sitting on a chair made of air. He placed one hand under his chin and smiled, his eyes still veiled.
"Forgiveness was never the path to peace. If you want to protect something… you must do the right thing. I'm pleased you finally understood that tonight." He sighed gently.
The man stood up… and vanished into the air.
Inside the house, Luceniel and Elunara were finally sleeping peacefully. But in the main hall, Lily's laptop was still glowing.
A mysterious woman sat on the couch—dressed entirely in white: boots, hoodie, gloves. She held a cup and smiled as she sipped something warm.
"Tonight's air is heavy… Mom and Dad lost both of their parents today," she murmured. "It's sad… but it had to happen."
As she spoke, the laptop shut down—and Lily's small form materialized in front of her. The woman smiled warmly.
"…Hello," she said kindly as Lily slowly opened her eyes.
12:20 AM – Country I
Kaelron sat silently, tension thick in the room.
"…Sir, do you really think Luceniel's grandmother killed her own son? That's ridiculous," one of the men finally spoke.
Another added, "Yes, Sir Kaelron. How can you be so sure? A mother… killing her own child? I can't believe it."
Kaelron remained silent, letting them speak. After a while, when the room grew quiet, he finally answered.
"You all say a mother would never kill her own son… so it seems none of you know anything."
His voice was cold.
"Sir, we're not saying it's impossible, but she's just an old lady. How could she kill a grown man? And the wife is missing too."
Kaelron stood up and projected a picture.
The room gasped.
"Oh my God… I didn't know she had followers like this. They look like monsters…"
"That woman in the picture is one of her people," Kaelron explained. "And right now… she's missing. I've already sent people to find both her and Rio's mother. It's been four hours. Still no word."
The room fell into silence as they contemplated the situation.
Suddenly, a man walked in, smiling.
"Sir Kaelron," he said, bowing. "I have a solution, but first—tell me. What do you think Luceniel is doing right now?"
Kaelron narrowed his eyes but gave him a silent signal to speak.
The man smiled darkly. "I doubt Luceniel is just sitting calmly… even if Elunara told him everything, he's not the kind of man to stay still."
"You're right," Kaelron replied. "And… her father's death, her mother missing… Luceniel must've told her by now."
The man nodded. "Exactly. Tonight, Elunara and Luceniel lost both of their parents. But my father still has fourteen days left… so Elunara might accept his death. Luceniel won't. His father was murdered."
A grim silence filled the air.
"…Do you think your sister can handle him?" the man asked. "She's emotionally fragile right now."
"They'll manage," Kaelron replied. "But right now, we need to calm Rio… He wants revenge."
A screen turned on. It showed Rio receiving treatment. His face… full of rage.
Sigh.
"Everyone, return to your tasks," Kaelron ordered. The room cleared, except for one man—Jack.
"What is it, Jack?" Kaelron asked seriously.
"…Don't focus only on this situation," Jack warned. "I know Luceniel helped your wife Mira escape death and saved us all… but after seeing how his father was killed, I don't think one person was responsible."
Kaelron's gaze sharpened.
"If you think I'm cancelling my trip to Country J, don't worry," he said. "I am going. No matter what."
Their eyes locked—both deadly serious.
"Go be with your wife. She needs you more right now," Jack said quietly and left.
Kaelron sat down, staring at a photo of his father and Elunara.
"…Jack, you still don't know anything about the Vale family."
His eyes glowed a piercing blue.
"…Time to get to work."
At the Police Station
Luceniel's family was released and on their way home in the car. The silence was suffocating—until the older brother finally spoke.
"Hmph… The police took us, but they didn't even call Luceniel…"
Their father replied in a calm voice, "Right now, we need to find out what happened last night. Your grandmother is missing too… from the police station."
The mood darkened.
The younger son finally asked, "Mom… do you think Grandma killed your brother?"
Their father slammed on the brakes.
"What did you say, brat?! Why would your grandmother kill her own son?!" He slapped the boy across the face—three times.
Silence returned. The boy said nothing but looked deep in thought.
Thirty minutes later, they reached their home. But it wasn't quiet—police were still inside, searching every room.
Meanwhile, in 7th Hell…
Terror spread across the realm.
Diabol sat on the Demon King's throne. His aura was hellish—furious and suffocating.
"…So you killed Luceniel's parents… and ate his mother?"
His voice was deep. Terrifying.
So terrifying, in fact, that even a being from the 5th dimension—if they heard it—wouldn't escape death.
