Physically they kept trying, but in their minds they were about to give up. Katsuro continued his work on auto pilot as none of them spoke, continuing their healing without words. They knew that any more discussion would be pointless, but the silence might help in coming up with a scenario.

His mind raced as his hands did, and eventually they fell back on one thing. The 3 tails. Rin now being a Jinchuuriki was the cause of her situation, but it was also the only reason she was still alive. A normal person would have been long dead, and the thing differentiating her was her status as a Jinchuuriki, and thus Katsuro honed in on it.

His mind flew, accounting for everything he had learned about tailed beasts during his fights against them, and having the Nine tails' host for a sister. Tailed beasts were essentially chakra batteries given form, but their hosts often gained increased vitality and strength, even more so when the chakra cloaks formed. It was this realisation that gave way to hope.

Vitality, the chakra helps the Jinchuuriki's healing factor, almost working like the Mystical Palm technique. But their chakra is so much more that even serious injuries become nothing. What if I can hone that? What if I can tap into the 3 tails' reserves so that even this injury can be healed? Rin can be saved. Yes, that's it!

The path had been found, all that was left to walk it. But, in the mere moments they had, they would need to create a technique to not only tap into the 3 tails' chakra, but also control and use it themselves for their purposes.

Katsuro immediately conveyed his idea, "Tsuna, we need to use the 3 tails."

With such little words, Tsunade immediately caught on, her eyes widening. She knew how difficult it would be, but also the fact that if there was anyone who could do it, it would be them.

"Shizune, we are going to need you to make sure Rin is stabilised throughout the process and in between, we are going to try something."

Shizune tired and weary nodded with determination. She had no idea what they were talking about, but her master had assigned her a task and she focussed on it.

Such an impossible task could not be completed by Iryo ninjutsu alone, no, the addition of the tailed beast meant the tool of Fuinjutsu would become just as necessary.

Katsuro undid the crude Kiri seal, before replacing it with one of his own, a variation of the 4 symbols seal. Then he controlled it intricately, allowing the 3 tails' chakra to pour out. Immediately, a red chakra cloak formed around the unconscious Rin which caused her regenerative factor to speed up. Katsuro opened more of the seal in a controlled manner, until 2 red tails were swaying behind her, any more and the 3 tails itself would be released.

Perhaps for other Jinchuuriki, this alone may have been enough. But unfortunately, the 3 tails was one of the weaker tailed beasts with less chakra and wasn't particularly known for its vitality either. What they had done so far was helping, but would not succeed. Rin was still dying, her body and major organs shutting down.

They needed much more chakra, as much as they could get, and they needed to be able to control it themselves. It was a risk, any wrong move would unleash the 3 tails upon Konoha just as the Kiri plan would've been, but it was a risk they would take.

Tsunade and Katsuro had a rapid exchange of conversation, Tsunade bringing up the idea of channeling the 3 tails chakra through themselves using seals. If done correctly, it would allow them to tap into its true reserves without releasing it while also allowing them to focus on where it would be used.

It would need to be done quickly, taking in a foreign entity's chakra was dangerous enough, but a tailed beasts' was like an ocean. It could literally fry their pathways from the inside even with the seals to help them.

Despite Tsunade's insistence, Katsuro wanted to bar her from helping. He had far more chakra than any normal shinobi, and thus his pathways would be more accustomed to huge amounts of chakra. They would be more sturdy, and would hold under the immense pressure. But Tsunade's stubborn determination and persuasion about her elite chakra control eventually won him over. Her help especially with the Iryo ninjutsu would be valuable, but Katsuro would ensure he by far took the brunt of the burden.

With haste, Katsuro placed his seals, until he and Tsunade held their hands over Rin's stomach and the other over her massive gaping wound. With a nod, he started the process activating the seals and immediately the tsunami of chakra roared into them both.

The tailed beast's chakra was aggressive and massive, pouring through their bodies and trying to destroy the walls of their pathways as they identified them as foreign. It felt like boiling hot magma was coursing through their bodies, the pain was so immense that they showed visible reactions and made grunts in pain. These were people who could lose limbs without a care, such a reaction showed how bad it was. And despite this pain, they had to focus on controlling the chakra and converting it into Iryo ninjutsu to aid the healing.

But it was working, the red chakra poured out like a river tinged with the green of medical jutsu controlled by Tsunade and Katsuro, and rapidly Rin wound was closing up. But closing the wound wouldn't be enough, the rest of her body had already started shutting down, and the chakra would need to heal the rest as well.

As Rin's chest wound was nearly closed, Katsuro decisively cut Tsunade off from the procedure seeing her glassy eyes and panting breath. She was in immense pain, and as her husband he would shoulder it.

Now taking all of the force, Katsuro's mind was clouded, his only singular coherent thought to keep channeling the chakra into Rin. Tsunade fell back in exhaustion as Shizune caught her before she fell. Shizune was in sheer disbelief at what was happening, let alone the rate of healing, she had never even seen a tailed beast or its chakra before.

"Amazing," Shizune gasped.

Tsunade and Shizune kept looking, seeing the colour return to Rin's face, as they rapidly ensured that there was enough blood to make up for what she had lost. As it seemed to be completing, they saw Katsuro visibly struggle more, his body even shaking. But they could only hold in in hope.

At one point, they even saw what looked to be the 3 tails itself, its image forming in the chakra until somewhat suddenly Katsuro stopped, opening his eyes.

With laboured breaths he spoke, "quick, the 3 Tails' chakra has run out, we can do the rest ourselves."

Tsunade and Shizune moved rapidly, letting the donated blood flow into Rin as they ensured everything was fine. She had been healed, but her body was severely drained. She was noticeably thinner and showed signs of dehydration. It was clear her body had been pushed to the brink, any nutrients used up as it was overworked. She would be bedridden for some considerable time, and it was understandable. Rin had been all but dead and was forcibly brought back into the living. Her body was forced to do feats it could never have hoped to.

As Tsunade and Shizune took over, Katsuro took the time to think.

That was close, the 3 Tails' chakra ran out just at the end even though it was so much. I extracted everything, and pretty sure from what I saw it's dead now. It should not have been that close, we used its chakra so inefficiently. We were lucky it didn't fight very much. Likely knew it was going to die either way, but still, somehow I got the feeling like it wanted her to live… Perhaps there is more to tailed beasts than I know.
