Crying, Guy protested telling his father to stop. Kakashi patted him on the back awkwardly, feeling bad about what was happening.
MY BODY! This pain is unbearable. I can feel my body failing! I only have around 30 seconds, past that and I won't be able to survive. I need to end this! Duy was aware he was in grave danger, but still continued.
What's he doing?! Is he trying to kill himself?? I can sense his body being torn apart. Still, this change in chakra, the sheer increase in his speed and agility, it's unbelievable! I can feel his strength as well, even from a distance. His eyes- even as they glow, I can see the unwavering determination. I should stop this…but would he want to? Katsuro wondered how bad the effects would be on Duy, but was quickly stopped from pursuing his thoughts as he approached Duy, who spun around Katsuro, sharply kicking backwards.
Fortunately, Katsuro had begun to take the spar much more seriously, and was able to grab his foot, twist, and sling Duy away, causing the man to spin midair, in order to remain on his feet. Duy, desperate to make a more lasting attack, once again raced forward, and raised his fists in a weird handsign with his thumbs pinky and ring fingers sticking out.
Roaring he yelled, "Get ready, Lord Senju! You're about to see the culmination of my training!"
"HIRUDORA!" (Daytime Tiger)
Katsuro was shocked to see a huge white tiger, made purely from wind pressure, chakra and mastery of Taijutsu racing towards him. Even for someone of the Senju Patriarch's caliber, it was a massive challenge to stop. Unlike his own Jutsus with the wind, this was purely from physical prowess but had destruction capable of even an S rank Jutsu!
Seeing the massive tiger roaring at him, Katsuro levelled up once again, while he probably could live and fight Duy with his current strength, his Wind Style Chakra Mode was perfect for the situation. His armour of wind took the brunt of the attack as it formed around him, with it partially deflecting the pressurised wind from Duy's fists. Katsuro dug his feet in as he crossed his arms and was still pushed back.
From his decision, he suffered little wounds, but had small slight cuts. As he eyes the blood trickling down his face slowly in the middle of the huge amount of destruction that had forced Guy and Kakashi to both retreat, he grew even more impressed in Might Duy. His technique, his strength easily put him within the top 10 of the village, but was still famed the 'Eternal Genin'.
Duy was fairly gassed, having used a powerful move but was raring to go despite it. His life force was beginning to fade but even with such pain and fatigue, he was about to launch another attack as he gritted his teeth. Katsuro noted his unbelievable stamina and determination and halted before he could attack.
"Let's stop here. You are destroying your own body, anymore and the recovery could push even months to possibly a year or two." Katsuro was one of the best medical ninjas, he could see Duy was pushing his body beyond its limits, tearing his muscles and tendons and fracturing his bones, exhausting his mind. It seemed way too much for a friendly spar, but Katsuro could understand it. This was what Duy had been training so much for, a chance to prove himself and he would not let it go. But he hadn't realised he already had, long before he even opened the first gate.
"But… I still have so much left to do," Duy panted and groaned, falling to his knees. Guy and Kakashi rushed to the two shinobi's sides.
"PAPA!" Guy cried out, wailing, hugging his father closely and helping him up on his shoulders. Which helped him understand what exactly he was risking.
"Lord Senju," Duy continued, "thank you, deeply, for allowing me to display my strength and youthful pride. It seems like I have barely been an obstacle for you, and you may not respect me, but I-"
"Duy," Katsuro frowned, "The moment you challenged me, I gained the utmost respect for you. Most other shinobi wouldn't dare ask to challenge a highly powerful shinobi such as myself, even with an arsenal of Ninjutsu- however, you took the chance, and pushed me in my Taijutsu skills. So, thank you, Duy. I will never forget your ability in battle nor your sheer will and determination."
"Lord Senju!" Duy cried, wiping away the tears from his eyes. Alongside him, Guy also cried and even behind the mask, a faint smile appeared on Kakashi's face.
"But father," Guy looked down, sorrowfully, "Why did you push yourself so hard, you nearly died!"
"Guy, my boy, You know what a true victory is? It's not beating someone strong. It's being able to protect something important to you! I protect my honour, my youthful pride, and my duty to you, my son!"
"PAPA!"
The two father and son embraced each other tightly, crying tears of joy. Katsuro smiled and propped Duy up on his own shoulders.
"Come, let's get you healed, Duy."

Life continued - it would not wait for those who weren't ready. After witnessing the intense spar, Kakashi hoped even more for a competent Sensei to get even stronger. Kakashi ended up getting his wish, being put under another fellow student of Katsuro, which meant they worked along well. He even reunited with his former academy classmates, Uchiha Obito and Nohara Rin. This made the teams dynamic very weird. It consisted of 2 freshly graduated Genin, and Chunin who was very strong for his rank. Kakashi used his father's signature short sword with the Kenjutsu imparted to him by his father and Katsuro. With Sakumo having more time at home, Kakashi was becoming a mini White Fang, with his Lightning Style, Kenjutsu and Shunpo. His natural talent and tutelage under Katsuro made him incredibly versatile, being able to use all 5 Chakra Nature Transformations, even if he did prefer the Lightning. As such, it was his most proficient one, helped by his natural inclination towards it. Already Kakashi was proficient in the Chidori, and was making strides towards the S Class Jutsu that Katsuro had developed to remove the tunnel vision effect. But for now, it was a powerful trump card in his arsenal - he had even developed a version of the Jutsu which elongated it, creating the Chidori Sharp Spear. It was adopted by Katsuro, who was thoroughly impressed and requested he could add it to his clan's lists. Unlike an alternate world Kakashi, this world's Kakashi still threw himself into training but had the guiding hand of his father, a teacher and a better mentality. This meant his limiting factor - his chakra capacity - was steadily increasing.
Of course, the teacher was none other than Minato Namikaze, who had become a Jonin at just 15, but his combat strength was already at near Kage levels. His time with Katsuro and the Senju was like adding wings to a tiger. He too was proficient in all 5 nature transformations, but his tendency to dodge rather than block meant his Earth Style was underdeveloped compared to his specialities. His Lightning, Wind and Fire Styles were filled with repertoire from Katsuro's and the Senju's reserve as well as Jiraiya's. His training with the Uzumaki and Kushina eventually being taken over partially by Katsuro meant he became the 4th Fuinjutsu grandmaster in the village, just a few weeks after Kushina (much to her relief). Minato had stopped her slacking, and her own genius in Fuinjutsu and experience allowed her to edge out Mainto's natural talent which was a welcome surprise for Katsuro, who had almost given up. I spoiled her way too much.
