...Beneath the silver waterfall, on a bluish stone.

Not long after the Ice Dragon King fled with Xuan Ming, two figures quietly descended.

One wore a white-gold gown, holy and majestic; the other was dressed in jade-green gauze, brimming with the breath of Life. They were none other than the God of Kindness and the Goddess of Life.

Xuan Ming still lay across the Ice Dragon King's legs, eyes closed in an "even if the sky falls it's none of my business" manner.

"What brings the two of you here?" the Ice Dragon King's voice carried a trace of displeasure.

Interrupting her private World with her little brother irritated her immensely.

The God of Kindness inclined her head in greeting toward the Ice Dragon King, then turned to the feigning-sleep Xuan Ming and said gently, "Xuan Ming, we know you need rest. But there are matters we must discuss."

Xuan Ming didn't even open an eye, replying lazily, "I don't feel like discussing anything right now. If you need something, go find Gu Yuena or Bibi Dong."

The Goddess of Life chuckled. "But they are newly promoted God Kings; many things they still don't understand. And this matter concerns you closely."

Only then did Xuan Ming reluctantly crack open one eye. "Speak."

Seeing he finally reacted, the God of Kindness said, "First, regarding the God Realm Committee. The God Realm has changed greatly; Asura God has passed both his God Position and his seat on the Committee to Bibi Dong. The Dragon God issue is resolved; he just sent word that he is ready to leave the God Realm with Poseidon and explore the wider Universe."

She continued, "Their departure leaves vacancies on the Committee. And now, counting you and Gu Yuena, the God Realm has suddenly birthed ten God King experts. The old Committee rules no longer fit. We must frame new Laws to safeguard future order and stability."

"Besides that, many problems remain: management of the newly expanded Divine Domains, the passageways between the Mortal Realm planes after their Ascension, and how to handle the newly Ascended Divinities…"

Before the God of Kindness finished, Xuan Ming impatiently waved a hand.

"Stop, stop, stop."

He sat up and said flatly, "I'll say it again: don't come to me for these things. I won't manage them, and I'm not interested."

"Draft rules? Administer domains?"

"Do I look like someone with the patience for red tape? My principle is simple: whoever disobeys, beat them until they obey; if they still won't listen, destroy them. You sure you want me helping make rules?"

The God of Kindness and the Goddess of Life exchanged a glance, each seeing helplessness in the other's eyes.

They truly could not picture the chaos if this outwardly stable yet utterly willful man governed the God Realm.

As if expecting this, the God of Kindness did not press further; she shifted topics. "Very well. Since you won't take part, what are your plans?"

"Plans?" Xuan Ming lay back down, lacing his hands behind his head as he gazed at the sky. "None. I only want rest, no thoughts, no responsibilities. Maybe… when I'm rested, I'll go look elsewhere."

Hearing this, both Goddesses' hearts sank; their greatest fear was that Xuan Ming felt no belonging to the God Realm.

"Of course," Xuan Ming added, sensing their worry, "if some reckless fool dares make trouble in the God Realm, I don't mind crushing them."

That promise at last let the two Goddesses breathe easier; with it, the realm's apex combat power was secured.

After all, if Xuan Ming left, Gu Yuena and the others would likely follow—ill news for the God Realm.

The God of Kindness nodded and said no more; she knew coercion was meaningless with one like him.

Just as they prepared to leave, Xuan Ming suddenly sat up again.

He stretched out his hand; pure white divine power condensed into a crystalline mark seemingly holding endless mysteries.

"Here, for you." He offered it to the Goddess of Life.

The Goddess of Life blinked, puzzled. "This is…?"

"A… thank-you for helping me those few times," Xuan Ming said.

She took the mark, and a strange power surged into her divine soul. She sensed within it a Law above all rules, unlike anything she had ever touched.

"What does it do?" she asked curiously.

Xuan Ming glanced at her, then toward the horizon—as if at the God of Destruction—before lying back on the Ice Dragon King's legs.

"It can… negate certain established tenets."

"For example, negate the tenet that you and the God of Destruction, because your forces oppose, can never have offspring."

The Goddess of Life felt lightning strike her; she froze, emerald eyes wide with disbelief!

She and the God of Destruction were the oldest God Kings, each other's half and eternal rival.

Their combined power could create a World, yet that perfect opposition also barred them—forever—from having children like other beings.

It was their eternal regret, a Law left by the Creator that none could alter.

Yet now Xuan Ming claimed he could negate that very rule?!

"Your God Position… can truly do even this?" her voice trembled.

She clearly felt the white mark held not creation, nor distortion, but purest, most overbearing "negation"!

It did not hunt loopholes within the Law; it dragged the Law itself from its throne of "truth" and declared it void!

At that instant she finally grasped how terrifying Xuan Ming's God Position was.

It surpassed even the "creative force" she and the God of Destruction could produce together!

Creation works within the Law.

Xuan Ming creates the Law!

She clutched the mark, feeling its fate-changing power, emotions overwhelming. She looked at him, longing to speak, yet any thanks seemed too feeble before such a gift.

Xuan Ming merely waved a hand without turning, eyes closed.

To him it was a casual gesture; to her and the God of Destruction, it was the miracle they had waited eons for yet never dared hope to see.
