[GACHA IS AVAILABLE NOW]
When he heard this, Shisui was shocked. But remembering the memories from his past life, he simply accepted that he had just gotten a system, like in those fanfictions.
Instead of checking it right away, he formed hand seals and released a jutsu.
"Water Style: Water Wall."
As the blood washed away with the flowing water from the cave, Shisui followed it, leaving the cave behind.
Staying here had been a hasty decision. When his memories suddenly returned, he had initially thought it was a genjutsu and instinctively came here to defend himself, knowing he couldn't attack in his current state.
Now that he understood the basics of everything, he decided to leave immediately. There was a high chance that Root or even the ANBU might track this location.
He couldn't risk anyone discovering he was still alive.
While the absence of his body might raise some suspicion, his personality and history, especially his brainwashing under the so-called "Will of Fire" by Hiruzen, would likely make the Hokage assume Danzo had taken care of the body.
His priority now was clear: leave the village, go into hiding, and recover his strength.
Most of his injuries were treatable, except for his eyes.
But the real problem was far worse.
He was poisoned.
He could feel it. His body was shutting down slowly. Death was creeping closer.
That Aburame Root member had been skilled. If it weren't for his speed, the situation would have been much worse.
He pulled a small box from his pocket and opened it. His fingers found the pills inside. He took one out and swallowed it.
"It should slow it down," he muttered, knowing full well it wouldn't cure the problem at its root.
Without wasting another second, he used the Body Flicker Technique and began covering ground by walking across the river. Even without his eyes, navigating wasn't a problem. The terrain was etched into his mind with precision.
Of course, he wasn't underestimating the situation. He was well aware of the chances of unexpected encounters. But given his current state, he had no other choice but to leave.
Sure, he could have gone back. Maybe he could've exposed Danzo. Maybe even the truth about Hashirama's cells and those stolen Sharingan. But even then… what would change?
Would the Uchiha be saved?
Or would Hiruzen simply bury the truth like always? Let Root fade into shadows again while spinning new lies about loyalty and peace?
What if he ended up being accused instead? Of using his Mangekyō on the Elders? Of plotting something in secret? That single move could be twisted and used as justification to wipe out the Uchiha completely.
Even if the other clans knew the truth, between the Uchiha and Hiruzen, they wouldn't choose them.
And let's say somehow he managed to convince Itachi and Fugaku to go through with a coup. And miraculously, they won, which he didn't believe was even likely. What then?
They'd have to face the other villages.
No. He couldn't take that kind of unnecessary risk.
I remember Itachi massacred the clan when he was thirteen. Right now, he's only eleven. So… does that mean I have two years?
There's no clear confirmation.
Honestly, I don't remember everything clearly yet. Most of the memories are still fragmented. But one sentence keeps echoing in my mind:
"The Naruto timeline is a mess."
Sometimes, events happened over a span of months. Sometimes within weeks. It never made complete sense.
At least, not for my world. I don't know how it plays out in others.
Wait a minute… is there a chance Zetsu is following me?
In the anime, I wasn't brought back during the Fourth Great Ninja War. That might mean they never found my body. Maybe my death was unexpected for them.
Still, I can't assume they're not tracking me. That would be stupid.
Though honestly, there's nothing I can do about it right now.
For now, I can only focus on surviving.
The poison needs to be dealt with as soon as possible, but I doubt just anyone can handle it.
I need a professional.
There are a few candidates that come to mind, but I can't risk meeting all of them. I don't have the time. I can only focus on the best one.
Being in the ANBU, I know where to find my target. But the problem is, how am I going to persuade them?
I can't use force, not in my current state. And I have no money either.
Forget it. Let's meet first, then I'll figure it out.
I paused for a moment and turned back. Though I couldn't see it, I knew the village lay in that direction.
The village built by the Uchiha and the Senju. One clan already gone, and the other soon to follow.
I gave everything I had for it. My youth, my childhood, my eyes, my loyalty.
And in return, I was repaid with betrayal.
Despite being an Uchiha, I put the village first. I saw them as comrades, as partners in peace.
But to them, I was just another threat. Just another "evil Uchiha."
The Uchiha gave it all to protect the village. Now it's your turn to pay.
Muttering those words, Shisui turned away and resumed running, this time with a fire burning in his chest.
