The next day, they crossed into a desolate moor beneath towering basalt pillars. Hidden in their shadows, they found an ancient stone arch carved with the same three circles Caelum saw in the labyrinth. As they passed beneath, visions flooded Caelum's mind: glimpses of an enormous structure of twisting spires, a place between worlds where lightning sang across skies of every color.
"The Shrine," they whispered. "I saw it."
Selka's voice dropped to a reverent hush. "Then you've glimpsed what few living ever do. But beware: every step closer tangles you deeper in fate's snare."
Inside a ring of standing stones, they discovered fragments of weathered murals: figures in robes standing before three swirling vortexes; beasts half-formed of ice, flame, and storm; a fourth figure blurred beyond recognition, reaching for a spire of light.
As they studied the images, a low hum began to fill the air — a vibration rising through the ground, as if the stones themselves were remembering something long buried.
