"Then hell broke loose," Ethan said, his eyes darkening slightly. "I heard the alarm and I ran like crazy. 'The screech of tires was deafening,' I thought, 'but I had to push the car harder!' The rat-tat-tat of gunfire against the metal was all I could hear."
"They pursued me relentlessly," Ethan said, his hand gripping the mug as he recounted the fabricated escape. "I was dodging cars and taking blind turns, hoping to lose them, but they just kept coming. Every time my car took an impact, I felt that sickening lurch. It was brutal."
"They finally cornered me," Ethan continued, his voice low. "Multiple vehicles. My car was totaled. I had to fight them hand-to-hand, a blur of fists and kicks, just to escape the ambush. I slipped into a dark warehouse to lose them."
