Chapter 1 - Rebirth in Windmere

Chapter 1: Rebirth in Windmere.

The sky cracked with light.

Blinding. Thunderous. Unforgiving.

Arin never saw it coming. One moment, he was hurrying through the empty streets of Delhi during an unexpected monsoon storm, and the next —

Pain. White-hot. A burning light that consumed the world.

Then silence.

When Arin opened his eyes again, it wasn't to the flickering streetlamp or the familiar smell of rain on concrete. It was… different.

The air was crisp, unnaturally fresh. The sky above him was a gradient of deep azure and golden clouds, swirling slowly like molten silk. Strange twin moons hung in the heavens, one silver, one red.

And beneath him?

Grass. Cool, soft, and glowing faintly in the darkness.

He sat up with a gasp, hand clutching his chest — expecting burns, broken bones, something. But his body…

It was smaller. Slimmer. Younger.

"What the hell…?"

His voice cracked. Higher pitched.

He scrambled to his feet and ran to a nearby pond, clear as crystal. The reflection that greeted him wasn't his 22-year-old face anymore.

It was a boy. Pale skin. Soft black hair falling over his forehead. Clear golden eyes that shimmered faintly in the moonlight.

He staggered back. His breath caught in his throat.

"No. No way…" How could it be happen.

He was no longer on Earth. His home, his family and his love all gone away too far. He wanted to weep but no tears fell from his eyes. He was standing stood but his heart was crying from inside. He thought of his previous life, a small but happy family of five persons. His hardworking father, Loving mother, His small trouble creating brother and his sweet little sister. All were left back. He also thought of his brother like friends, newly made girlfriend and most important his own carrier all gone in brink of an eye.

He was a gamer back on Earth. When he chose to become a gamer, he was opposed by all, either family or friends but he asked for a year time and said that if he will not success in a year than he will do as per their wishes. He put his all efforts and make his only hobby "Gaming" as his carrier with more than 10 million followers and set an example to others. He was one of known gamers to popular gaming industry in Delhi.

Thinking of this all, he doesn't know what to do. Where he was and what was going on. Within this he felt a sharp pain in his mind.

Then, it all came rushing in. Memories.

A birthday. A world named Aetherion. A city called Windmere. A date—

Today. His fifteenth birthday.

And in this world… that meant one thing.

"Every child awakens a Skill on their fifteenth birthday."

"Fate decides your strength. Your path. Your worth."

He wasn't just reborn.

He was reincarnated.

And tomorrow… was the Awakening Ceremony.

With the memories he knew that he was in a new world in this boy's body same name as his and today become fifteen-years-old. He also found that he was an orphan and doesn't remember anything about his parents or childhood. His memories were only from when he became 10 and till now he was living in an orphanage. That's it only.

Oh! That means I am in this new world in this boy's body and seems like people here have powers, magic and not only this here are also demons and dragons just like as I read in novels. So, doesn't that means I will also awake my power tomorrow and will also fly in the sky, fighting the demons and sleeping with beauties. hahahahaha. Arin let out a low chuckle, his lips curling into a grin. "Well… that went better than I expected."

All his sorrow and Dis happiness were no more after both memories' fusion.

But he was still thinking of the thing which he didn't remember " How this guy dead ". there is not even a single scratch on his whole body, nor remembering of any enemies too and also the memories after he slept was lost. He was just remembering of sleeping inside his room last time and now he was in fields. Not using his mind anymore, Arin move to his room and slept peacefully as if nothing happened. Zzzz zzz...

🌄 Morning — Windmere, Solarius Empire

Windmere City wasn't much — a peaceful border town in the western edge of the Solarius Empire. Farmers, traders, and adventurers passed through. Few stayed.

The buildings were made of stone and sunwood. Faint mana lines ran through the walls, glowing gently at night. Arin's new home — a modest orphanage called Hearthlight — was quiet but warm.

The caretaker, an old woman named Mira, had kind eyes but a sharp tongue.

"Up already, boy?" she asked, seeing Arin standing in the courtyard. "Nervous about your Awakening, aren't you?"

Arin hesitated. He didn't know how to respond. What could he say?

"Yeah," he muttered. "Just… thinking."

Mira grunted. "Don't think too much. The gods give what they will. Some get sword skills. Some get fire spells. Some get 'kitchen instinct' or 'plant whisperer'. Doesn't matter what you get — it's what you do with it."

Arin nodded slowly, half-lost in thought.

But deep down, he couldn't shake the feeling.

This was a too big day for him and as with his merge memories of earth and this planet he knows the value of power and wealth. As an earth belonged, he was much fond of wealth than power but his current memories teach him that in this world power meant everything. Those who have power can gain wealth easily.

Mira looked thoughtful expression on his face and patted his head.

Ok now it's time to get ready you have to also went to the Awakening Hall.

Sure, I will just take a minute. By saying this Arin went to refresh himself whereas Mira went to arrange meal for everyone and look for others in the orphanage.
