About 4 days ago, an exploration crew of Tengus ventured a newly appeared cave in the land of Ashviel. These caves are what people refer to as—"Worldly Creations." They are structures formed when flux in the air become unstable and merge together forming structures. These structures can often hold relics of the past or future, as well as prophecies made by the apostles of the Supreme One.
"Did we even get a rating on the cave?" Frelius, a male explorers asked checking his gear in his bag.
"Of course, the scanner said it was a low mono-leveled structure." Suu, a female explorer replied placing a large crystal near the outside of the cave.
"We'll be fine it's what? Five of us, we'll be easily able to explore this place." Morla, another female explorer said.
"Come on lets just enter already." Adam, a male explorer said a bit impatient.
"I second that." Velsen, the last guy added.
The five adventurers then entered the cave, it seemed quite ancient in all honesty. It wasn't incredibly dusty or dirty, it was actually a bit pristine it just seemed something that would be in the past. The walls with a very ancient sleek design, there was a long line spanning across the cave's walls and what seemed to be butterflies and jellyfishes. The color fading but showing hints of blue on the creatures, while the line a dark red. The lines glowing, lighting up the cave all be it very dimly.
"Is it just me or doesn't this feel like this is an historical place?" Morla whispered, looking at the murals of the creatures.
"It really does, especially these imagery on the walls. Perhaps this a cave of worship?" Velsen asked.
"Seems like it. Is it that god that the Dark Lord killed?" Frelius added, grimly.
"Orthopla, Goddess of Transformation, if I'm not mistaken. This might just be a cave of the people who worshipped her." Suu said.
"However, I don't think the God of Transformation used butterflies, surprisingly. Jellyfishes existing out of water seems otherworldly too. Snakes and Chameleons were her animals." Suu continued.
"So what? This cave of worship was for another god?" Adam asked.
"Seems like it." Velsen replied.
As the crew keep venturing forth deeper into the came they soon discovered butterflies in there. The butterflies glow brightening up the dim lighted cave.
"Well, seems like the murals wasn't lying. There are butterflies around here, seems to be flux butterfly." Frelius said.
"Yup, seems like flux butterflies are what the murals were depicting. A god that uses flux butterflies and jellyfishes, still none come to mind. Must be a god lost to time." Velsen reasoned.
"If so, this could be the discovery of the century, lets continue onwards!" Morla said.
"Right on!" Adam whispered, as they all started to continue moving.
"So, what type of god do you think it could be?" Suu asked.
"Uh... maybe, oh! A God of Chaos?" Velsen said.
"What? Oh, actually that could make sense. A God so evil and chaotic that the God's sealed or killed them?" Frelius added.
"That actually could work-" Adam said before slamming right into a wall.
"Ow! What is that?" Adam slightly shouted, looking up at the wall.
The wall lighten up by a massive blue jellyfish in the hands of a dark silhouette engraved into the wall.
They all went silent, for in front of them lied a mural etched on the cave's wall. This was the end of the cave. On the center of the mural it showed a colossal dark entity which seemed to dwarf even the surroundings. It's form a silhouette more than some vicious creature, oddly remanence of a human. Yet its presence seemed divine like, almost godly.
Before the large figure stood another significantly smaller figure with a blade held high, it seemed like a warrior but oddly familiar.
"What... What is this? Is that the dark lord?" Adam whispered.
The figure's sword, pointed towards either the sky as a testament to the larger figure's glory—or against the figure. Surrounding these two figures were other shadowy figures kneeling, their heads bowed before the two or maybe just the larger figure.
"The Dark Lord worships a god?! This is so weird, didn't he literally kill a god? Why would he serve one?" Adam stammered.
"This is definitely, a place of worship. This mural... has to be a prophecy!" Suu proclaimed, her eyes wide coming to understand.
"What's it prophesying though? Is there text?" Frelius asked.
Velsen scanned around the wall, dusting off portions before he found a part with text—unfortunately the symbols are indecipherable.
"Found it, however these symbols seem impossible to understand without help." Velsen exclaimed.
They all got close to the text inscribed on the mural, and true to Velsen's word the symbols looked undecipherable.
"I got a decipher crystal, we'll be fine." Morla added, pulling out a glowing green crystal.
The decipher crystal scanned the inscription and then after a moment it started speaking what the symbols mean. "All hail, the forsaken one. The one who has accepted all of us as his children. The lord of anomalies. His knight will befall this world and prepare a gift for his lord. When the God arrives upon this world us children will be in his embrace again." was what was inscribed on the mural.
"God of Anomalies?" Adam asked. "There's such a being?"
"Seems like anomalies revered this being heavily? Do you think the Dark Lord knows of this already?" Morla said.
"Well, come on! We have to notify the guards of the Dark Lord!" Suu said, the urgency of the situation rising.
"R-Right!" Frelius agreed, and nodded.
The crew shortly after discovering this mural then left, they immediately went to notify the guards of the Dark Lord inside the central capital. The guards shortly after agreed to give them an audience with the Dark Lord, taking them to the Dark Lord's throne room.
Now what lied before them was the Dark Lord, a being clad in dark shadow amor and not a soul knowing his identity underneath. His presence, dark and threatening as if even glancing at him will instantly slice your head. The crew had bowed and stayed that way in the presence of the Dark Lord.
"A cave?" The Dark Lord said, his voice deep and cold.
"Y-Yes my lord, a very special cave." Velsen replied, his head bowed low.
"I heard a worldly creation had appeared from my guards but who would've thought it was a cave, so what did you find in it?" The Dark Lord asked.
The five gave each other looks before Adam gulped and started speaking.
"Well... Do ignore my boldness for asking however, do you perhaps know of a God of Anomalies?" Adam said, shaking as he was bowing.
The Dark Lord, who everyone knew as composed and somewhat monotoned had seemly looked shaken.
"H-How?" The Dark Lord said, getting quiet. Then he spoke again. "Was it inside the cave that you came to come of this name?"
"I-Indeed my lord. We uncovered a mural—depicting a god his appearance dark and hazy and his knight which would be an apostle. Along with that it showed many beings praying to the two...or perhaps just the hod." Morla replied.
"I see..." The Dark Lord said before taking a long pause. "If this structure is appearing now. It must mean OUR god is coming soon." returning back to normal after those words were spoken.
"This information must not leave Ashviel is that understood." The Dark Lord continued, his stare piercing.
"U-Understood." The five replied simultaneously.
"You may leave." The Dark Lord said, coldly.
The five stood up before they left the room after doing a bow, the door shutting itself as they left leaving behind a resonating thud.
Moments later the Dark Lord spoke again.
"This news is quite unsettling..." The Dark Lord muttered. "What if conquering this world isn't a worthy enough gift. What if it's naught but insufficient, will he discard us as his children or worse?"
From the shadows behind the throne, one of the royal shadow guards behind him started speaking.
"My lord... if I may, is this god of yours dangerous?" The guard asked.
"Indeed. While I've never actually seen his strength the prophecy said they are a being capable of rivaling the Supreme One. I wonder when he will come to existence." The Dark Lord responded, turning to look at his guard.
"If that is true, this world is soon to witness a being of true power." The guard added.
"Indeed." The Dark Lord agreed, his voice reverent. "I await your glorious appearance my lord."
Back near the outside of the Dark Lord's castle. The five tengus engaged themselves in an conversation.
"That was nerve racking!" Suu exclaimed, wiping her forehead with a small towel.
"Sure was, thought he was gonna execute us just for figuring out such important information." Velsen added.
"Felt like that indeed, I'm just glad were alive. However, I'm real interested in this God of Anomalies." Adam said.
"I want to explore the cave more, so I'll file a request to explore it more and then we'll try to see if we can find any relics or extra information." Morla said.
"Just have to pray they accept our request." Frelius added.
"Yup..." Suu said, a bit worried.
In the shadows however, behind a tree lied a hooded person intently listening.
"So, we have a new god is upon us. This will be nice indeed. Oh how I love being the trickster I am." The mysterious person said before disappearing into thin air.
