Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: Calling Fleet Admiral Sengoku

"Barnett, assemble the medical team on deck! Both of them are injured and need treatment!"

Victor's voice boomed across the water before his feet even touched the ship. The cadets exhaled in collective relief—they had returned alive.

But curiosity burned in their eyes.

'What happened to the Beast Pirates?'

Barnett barked orders as Victor landed. He had already assessed their injuries:

- Gion: Minor external and internal damage, mostly exhaustion.

- Rebecca: Severe internal injuries. Several broken ribs (thankfully not piercing organs)—a testament to her rigorous training. Without it, the damage would've been fatal.

Barnett's Patch-Patch Fruit abilities went to work. While still developing, his power could heal minor wounds completely and mitigate major ones without scars—a godsend for female fighters.

Gion recovered swiftly. Rebecca, though stabilized, remained unconscious, her ribs set but body too fragile for movement.

Victor carried her to her cabin, where Wendy took over watch.

'Alive. Safe. Crisis averted.'

The encounter had been unexpected. Victor never imagined clashing with a future Emperor's top officer so soon.

Unbeknownst to him, it was the Peto-Peto Fruit user who'd drawn Queen's attention. Kaido had ordered the captive's retrieval or execution—a decision now backfiring as his prized subordinate nearly died in Paradise.

(Kaido cared little for grunts, but All-Stars and Tobiroppo? Those were investments.)

---

As Victor stepped onto the deck, he heard Gion's animated retelling:

"—and then Victor 'bisected' that Ancient Zoan user mid-air! Left Queen standing there, clutching his poison bomb, covered in blood, surrounded by corpses! The look on his face—priceless!"

Cheers erupted.

"Victor's stronger than most Vice Admirals!"

"He's the 'only' one who rivals the Three Admirals and Garp!"

"A legend in the making!"

Gion spotted Victor and winked, smug as a cat, as if saying: '"I've made you famous. How will you thank me? Dinner? Or—"'

Victor couldn't help laughing, he was not a man who liked to be in the limelight, now was not the time for him to become famous, he didn't have the strength to roam the seas, if he became famous too quickly he would be targeted..

It's just that the current result is somewhat different from what he imagined, and he has no choice but to do so. Gold will shine brightly wherever it is.

Time waits for no one, and he cannot afford to live in seclusion somewhere, ignoring worldly affairs and slowly improving his strength.

It doesn't matter if he's a little slow, with the talent of this body, he will become a peerless strong man sooner or later. But what will happen in the future? Even the original novel hasn't gone into those plots, so he can only blame himself for traveling through time too early!

In the uncertain future, where war is bound to happen, the three ancient weapons have appeared.

So since it is unavoidable, we can only make progress bravely. The essence of this world still depends on who has the bigger fist. As long as we are strong enough, we can change many things, the fate of many people, and even the world's pattern

Ignoring Gion's hint, Victor silently sat cross-legged on the edge of the deck again, practicing that new power.

He had only used it to destroy waterspouts before, and had not discovered that the sword aura with the blessing of Haki could actually separate cells directly without damaging skin tissue, thus achieving the purpose of bleeding.

Victor believed that as long as his sword aura and Shinki became stronger, he could also separate muscles, internal organs, bones, etc.

That is an amazing ability. You can attack the enemy's insides without even learning Ryuo. It is the nemesis of those with high defense.

'But what are the aftereffects of the wounds it creates?' Victor pondered. 'Do they heal over time, or remain open indefinitely? We left in such a hurry—I didn't get to observe Queen's injuries closely.'

He'd have to experiment later. Perhaps on Little Yellow?

The sea king, sensing Victor's gaze, shuddered as if doused in ice water.

'Did I not pull the ship hard enough just now? Was it because I fled too fast earlier? Does he… want to eat me?!'

Little Yellow's mind raced with paranoid theories.

Victor glanced at it briefly before dismissing the thought. Little Yellow had been diligent—no major faults except its horrendous sleeping posture.

Cutting it open to test his ability would be too cruel. He'd feel guilty forever…

Well, maybe three days. Three days of guilt, max.

---

By now, Gion had finished recounting their battle. The cadets, still buzzing with excitement, stole admiring glances at Victor before returning to their duties.

Gion leaned against the railing beside him, gazing silently at the sea.

Night fell. After dinner, Gion retired to her room while Victor fed Rebecca a nutrient-rich broth to speed her recovery. Yet she showed no signs of waking.

Alone in her quarters, Gion hesitated before finally dialing Marine Headquarters.

The call connected almost immediately—Fleet Admiral Sengoku, though technically still an admiral, handled the duties of his position around the clock.

"Puru puru puru…"

"This is Sengoku. Report."

"Fleet Admiral, we encountered the Beasts Pirates today," Gion said calmly. "Queen led the ship. They pursued us."

Sengoku's tone sharpened. "Queen? In Paradise? Details."

Gion relayed the events—Victor's clash, Rebecca's injury, Queen's retreat.

A long silence followed.

Then—

"You said Victor's new technique bypassed Queen's defenses?"

"Yes. Even an Ancient Zoan's regeneration couldn't counteract it."

Another pause. When Sengoku spoke again, his voice carried grim resolve.

"This changes things. Prepare for debriefing upon return. And Gion—"

"Yes?"

"Keep this between us for now. Especially the part about Victor's ability."

The line went dead.

Gion stared at the Den Den Mushi, unease coiling in her gut.

'Why the secrecy?'
