I watch as Chelle drags Kael to the stage, a cocky playing with her lips.
I swallow the lump that's catching in my throat, and try to smile. This is what he wanted, maybe they'd finally get back together, and everything will be fine.
But he's supposed to be my perfectboyfriend for the remaining time left.
"It's okay, it doesn't matter. He can still be a perfect boyfriend while getting back together with her," I calm myself down.
My eyes return to the stage to see them wrapped around each other, having some conversation.
A subtle pang of grief hits me in the chest, but I brush it off. How rude of me to be so selfish.
I bite my lower lip, fidgeting with my hands. What if I was the one wrapped around him like that? How would he react?
Somewhere along their dance, Kael's eyes meet mine. His ice blue eyes bore into my soul, and once again I feel my insides melting completely. I immediately pull my lips up in a small smile back at me.
