Thomas boarded on the zeppelin, for his journey to Tarant. There were many passenger on board the zeppelin, infact there were mages aboard the vehicle as well. It is well known fact that mystical energies cause technological vehicle to have critical failures, because of this mages are either not allowed to travel in it or travel in it by sitting farther from the vehicle's engine. Mages of whatever level of power are not allowed to sit on mobile vehicle and buses, in trains, however, if mage's magical aptitude is low, then, they are allowed to sit in any compartments of train, including the first compartment which is usually only carry the people with neutral and technological aptitude, but if mage's magical aptitude is high but below 70, they are forced to sit the compartments in the back of the train also known as mage's caboose, however if the mage's magical aptitude is high and above 70, they might not even allowed to board the train at all. Zeppelin which is comparable to automobiles and buses is also something that cannot be boarded by mages, but IFS zephyr is a special zeppelin that utilizes advanced technology, and it work perfectly even if there are thousands of mages with magical aptitude equal to 100, of couse the mages are requested to sit away from engine not because it will critical failure but rather the presence of advanced technology which strengthen the nature in incredible level cause mages to become seriously ill, and if the mage is a full-blooded elf then he/she might even be hospitalized. Everthing was going very well, the mages, technologists and other people in ship were decent people perhaps like Thomas, they are all Arlandians, which explain why they are getting along very well, even talking to each other, unlike the ones from Unified Kingdom, who will eventually end up in quarrel due to their opposite aptitudes. There were many people on-board, an elven magical forestal, a half-orc physician, an elven magical ranger, a gnomish gunslinger, a half-elven bowman, an half-elven hybrid forestal, a dwarven gunslinger, a half-orc warrior, an unknown halfling technologist, a half-ogre mercenary, a human dark necromancer, a human diplomat and so on. Everyone were decent people and are getting along well, as expected of Arlandian, if it were the people from Unified Kingdom, they were either indifferent towards the people of different aptitude and races or would start a quarrel. Thomas who was getting bored decided to pass time by looking the surrounding from window. Suddenly, a strange noise appear perhaps of a machine, which become louder and louder, two of them infact. The noise was coming from two unknown flying machine flying toward the zeppelin, the driver of both flying machine were half-ogres, which is odd as although half ogre's are smarter than a full-blooded ogre, they are not intelligent enough to drive such complex vehicle. Issac Zapruder, a human photographer, who was at the roof of the zeppelin took to photo of those two vehicles, believing them to be ordinary travellers, not knowing those vehicles were combat vehicles, the driver of the vehicle fired the explosives ammunitations on the zeppelin, poor Issac who happened to be hit by ones of the explosive dies instantly. Many on zeppelin panicked, some brave ones, immediately enter the rooftop, the archers shot their arrows and gunslinger fired their bullets towards the attacker, none of them actually managed to hit them due to the speed of the flying vehicle, fortunately, the dark necromancer, successfully casted a harm spell on one of the attacker, wounding him, the wounded pilot who was distracted due to pain accidently crashed white one of the propeller fan of the zeppelin and died instantly, the other one was simply unlucky when he was near the engine of zeppelin which suddenly explodes which also damaged other pilot's vehicle and he crashed directly to the land. Zeppelin severly damaged also crashed on the land. Everyone died except for one, it was Thomas, luckily, he made few 'cure all' herbal medicines back at home, which he brought along with him, for a possible emergency, Thomas who was severely wounded consumed the herbal drug, which completely healed him, thus, saving his life, and thus, Thomas become the sole survivor of the crash.
Thomas looked aroung hoping that there might br other survivors, who might also narrowly escaped death like him. Suddenly he heard a voice.
Thomas pull out the debris and foung a gnome below.
The gnome gave a mysterious ring to Thomas.
The gnome finally took his last breath, Thomas checked the gnome's body, and found the passport his the gnome's id, the gnome's name is Preston Radcliff, he seems to be an gnomish businessman according to his outfit and id. Thomas checked the ring and found out that it was an ordinary ring, no magical enchantment or technological enhancement on the ring. Still as a decent human being, he decides to deliver this ring to the 'boy', and to find out the motive behind the attack on the zeppelin. Suddenly he heard a footstep coming toward him, Thomas unsheath his sword which he purchased from a blacksmith before boarding the zeppelin and decides to face the incoming stranger.
