The gas proved far more insidious than the venom, especially when used in combination—the toxic cloud and poison-gas bombs.
The explosive bursts from the bombs drove out even more paralyzing gas. Prisoners in nearby cells were caught off guard, succumbing in waves—they convulsed and collapsed, completely immobilized. The rest, terrified, pressed themselves against cell walls, desperate to keep even a millimeter's distance from the combat.
Magellan noticed that Roya didn't seem to have a good counter. His jade dragon couldn't absorb the poisonous gas; Roya himself merely stood behind his invisible barrier to avoid paralysis. A surge of excitement ran through Magellan's mind:
"Finally—a way to counter him! Even if I can't poison him outright, I can stall long enough. Once earlier gas takes effect, I can capture him alive!"
Just as he permitted himself that triumph, he suddenly caught sight of a new toxic cloud—one that only absorbed and did not release. The thick gray-brown fog he'd released moments ago was immediately sucked back into this new cloud.
Dizziness hit Magellan; despair nearly overwhelmed him.
"Is this truly a Devil Fruit that copies abilities? Such a perverted skill exists? If that's true, will the gas I released earlier even take effect?"
He snapped back to awareness and saw the jade dragon curling around him. Magellan's own purple venom was instantly absorbed; even his flesh-and-blood body began reforming from a liquid state.
Worse, the venom fruit within him had gone out of control—seemingly against his will, it kept generating toxin that fed the jade dragon. At this rate, he would be fully drained within minutes.
He forced his eyes open to find Roya—but Roya remained calm, unmoved, showing no signs of being affected by poison.
Magellan realized in stark horror that the fight had become hopeless—he was now in a final, do-or-die moment.
"There's no choice but to unleash my last resort at any cost!"
He roared out, unleashing his final forbidden technique: Toxic Titan – Hell's Judgment!
Venom exploded from his pores everywhere in a horrifying blood-red torrent. The jade dragon's crystalline body was drenched and coated in this liquid—instantly rendered inert and covered by a crimson membrane that sapped its vitality. Wherever the membrane touched, it turned a bizarre charred yellow, as if life had been drawn out.
The blood-red venom spread outward quickly from Magellan, corroding anything in its path with sickening sizzle. The tide reached ten meters from Roya, coating his barrier in red, but then stopped before crossing it.
"Even my forbidden technique couldn't breach the barrier…" Magellan muttered, brow furrowing.
He stretched his arms, directing the blood-red venom to crawl up to Roya's shield—but no matter how vehemently he tried, the venom wouldn't penetrate. One foot off the ground, it lost cohesion and collapsed.
Undeterred, Magellan kept channeling it, eyes locked on Roya. Behind him, in the shadowed cell corridor, the venom surged, enveloping the paralyzed prisoners and draining eight out of ten of them of their life force. Those drained energies were immediately converted into more blood-red venom.
With all available venom consumed, Magellan finally relaxed—his lips curled into a savage grin.
"Did you really think my final technique would just kill with mere spread? Heh!"
He reversed the flow—the crimson venom roared back into his body like rivers returning to the sea.
In an instant, a colossal giant of blood-red venom materialized behind Magellan—towering over him like a mountain. The giant's fist alone was larger than Magellan's entire body.
Magellan touched its forearm and sneered contemptuously. "Prepare to face Hell's Judgment!"
The giant roared thunderously, raising its mountain-sized fist to crush Roya.
But Roya simply smiled and spoke calmly from below:
"You don't think I've just been standing here doing nothing, do you?"
Magellan froze. Before he could react, a savage gust of wind ripped from high above. The gale was so intense, he felt as if his skin would peel away from head to toe.
BOOM!
An immense shock landed on him—so swift, so heavy—that he didn't even manage to bend his knees before his legs plunged through the floor.
