Nora entered her room feeling a bit down after she said good night to her mom. She knew Ian had secrets and he wasn't the type to open up to people but she wished he would let some things slip sometimes. "Ughh! So frustrating," she sighed.
In another house....Ian walked into the room and sat on the bed, his eyes moved to the drawer next to the bed, he raised his hands, touching a frame on it, before he put it down then he lied down on the bed and dozed off thinking of only one thing.
The next day at school Jasmine walked up to Nora immediately she spotted her in the class, "Nora, I'm so so deeply sorry about what happened yesterday, I promise it won't happen again," she pleaded. "It's fine, really, at least I'm okay, my head is also fine and it's really not your fault," Nora hugged Jasmine.
Thank you, Nora," Jasmine smiled. Zoe could not help but roll her eyes at the drama in front of her, "That's enough, you guys are making cringe," she pouted shivering playfully.
They talked for a while before the bell rang. Let's go to the library to read since Mr Ralph didn't come to school so we are free to leave the class," Zoe said. "Okay let's go." Nora supported. "But I don't want to read," Jasmine groaned but she still tagged along.
As they headed to the library, Nora subconsciously looked around to check if she will see Ian but she didn't see him.
"Looking for Ian? I asked Zach just now and he said he hasn't seen him since this morning but he came," Zoe who noticed Nora looking around informed her.
"So are you guys..a thing now," Jas giggled
" What!...no, we are not a thing, we are just friends," Nora waved her hands, her cheeks turning slightly pink. Jas was about to comment on her flushed face but Zoe spoke first. "Cut it out Jas, she said no."
"Hmm ok if you say so," Jas raised her hands in surrender. They studied for some time in the library before they went back to their classes for the day.
When it was closing Nora waved goodbye to her friends, then entered into the car and told the chaffeur to take her to the cafe where Ian worked and as expected he was there, smiling at a blonde girl and her eyes flared up, Did he have a fetish for blonde girls or what, how dare he smile at those blondies and rarely smile at her, ugh he was so annoying. She alighted from the car after she told the chaffeur to park the car away from the front of the cafe then she walked straight into the cafe like the diva that she was and went to the counter smiling. "Hi Ian."
"Hey, what are you doing here at this hour?" he asked looking at her uniform with a quizzical look on his face.
Nora glanced at the blonde girl as she walked to seat beside a guy and her heartbeat seemed to calm down then she turned her gaze on Ian's face, "I came to grab some coffee," she smiled sweetly. Ian looked at her with a strange look on his face and she glared at him. "I'll like some macho," she said. He went to make it and came back with her order and she went to find a seat as she sipped her macho.
After a while Ian came to sit with her and she looked at him with raised eyebrows and it didn't go unnoticed by Ian. "I've a 30 minutes break."
She wanted to ask him why he decided to use his break by sitting with her but she stopped herself from saying anything. They sat in silence for some time and Nora decided to say something, anything.
"So uhh..do you have any date for prom?"
"No," he deadpanned. She nodded her head trying to form another question. "If you don't mind I could be your date, nobody has asked me yet," she blurted. He looked at her without showing any expression and she suddenly became self-conscious and she licked her lips that became dry all of a sudden and his gaze snapped to her lips before they went back to her eyes to find her looking at his lips and he smiled and saw her gasp. Nora eyes went to look at Ian eyes and she wondered why he was suddenly smiling.
"What about the boys in your class? I'm sure they will be happy to be your date," Ian said.
"So is it a no?" She asked and he remained quiet. "Fine, I'll ask one of the boys in my class to be my date," she said calmly as she stood up. "By the way do you know where Eddie is?" She was so occupied with looking for Ian she had forgotten to ask Zach about Eddie. "I don't know, Zach probably took him to some hospital," he shrugged.
"Ok then bye," Nora said as she left the cafe. Ian looked at her as she walked to the car and entered it, he remembered going somewhere yesterday night.
"You..who let you in here " Eddie said sitting up straight on the bed as he looked at the person that walked into the room. "I just came to greet you and see how you are doing, that's all," Ian said calmly.
"I'm going to scream, if you don't leave right now," Eddie said trying to be brave. Ian chuckled darkly, "You don't need to scream, I don't bite I promise," he grinned before his face became serious again as he walked to the bed side and touched Eddie's shoulder, "I just came to tell you that if you ever whisper what happened today to anyone, you are going to bite the dust instead of getting punched," he patted Eddie's back before he left the room, leaving Eddie in a shock state.
"Serves him right," Ian smirked before it lowered from his face, his fist tightened.
Bang!!! "Geez, why did you slam the door like that, you almost gave me a heart attack," Mrs Smith exclaimed, patting her chest but Nora just ignored her and went straight to her room and slammed the door shut too. "What's wrong with her, hmm probably been a bad day or she's having her period, oh my baby has grown up," Mrs Smith said teary eyed with her hand still patting her chest.
How dare that boy, I would kill him if I see him again!!! Oh who am I kidding I'll simply melt if I see his handsome face again," she pouted moving to and fro before she fell flat on her bed. "I shouldn't have asked him, I'm so foolish, ughh!!!" She screamed into her pillow.
In another country, in a black limo...
"We found him, we followed the trails in the airport along with some other investigations and we found out that he is in country M but not sure where in the country," a man reported. "Then check properly, the country isn't that big so it should be easy or is it more money you need, here take this and look for him," another voice said before throwing an envelope on the man's lap, who happily kept it in his jacket inner pocket.
"You can get down now, the director is coming back soon and I don't know what to tell him when he comes back, so find him," the person said. The man got down from the car and entered another one packed at the side before speeding off. "Where are you?" The person in the limo said to no one in particular as she pulled out a picture of a boy with black hair who wasn't smiling and beside him stood a woman, her face beaming with joy with a radiant smile on her face.
