On the surrounding warships, the officers could only stare in shock. They had no idea why Sakazuki was launching so many magma fists into the heavens, but the spectacle was unforgettable.
By the time he crashed down onto the battlefield at the island's edge, he had already crossed the sea in a single, blazing leap. Sweeping the scene with his Observation Haki, he immediately sensed the carnage—the Marines' casualties were beyond estimation.
"Still too late..."
"Damn sea scum."
"Grand Magma Burial!"

Sakazuki's left hand turned jet black, also coated in Armament Haki.

Steel rang against steel. He blocked Kaido's club, then pressed down even harder with his right hand, determined to end it here and now.
Driven to the brink, Kaido thrashed wildly on the ground, finally managing to hurl Sakazuki aside. Gasping, he clawed desperately at the magma burning his neck, both hands wreathed in Armament Haki.
"Cough, cough... Damn Marine."
"Name yourself."
But all he got in response was a fresh wave of violent magma, bearing down like a mountain.
"Great Eruption!"

Staring at the relentless, murderous Sakazuki, Kaido's face darkened. But inside, his mind raced for an escape route.
That's right—run.
There was no way he could win this fight. Kaido might look like a brute, but he was cunning to the core.
"Vajra Dysprosium!"
A column of club-shaped energy blasted toward Sakazuki—but Kaido was already turning, bolting for the depths of God Valley.
Sakazuki shattered the attack with a single punch, watching as Kaido fled into the heart of the island. He hesitated for a moment, glancing back at the embattled Marines.
Unwilling to leave them unprotected, he plunged both hands into the earth, aiming at the remaining pirates.
"Magma Burial!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ground split open, magma erupting like tidal waves, surging toward the pirates.
With that, Sakazuki gave chase, charging after Kaido—toward the battlefield where the very sky was being torn apart.

Meanwhile, as the Oro Jackson docked at the rear of God Valley, a group of pirates leaped ashore, racing toward the palace ruins to loot whatever treasure they could find.
At the same time, Roger and his core crew disembarked and strode straight for the heart of the battlefield.
