[One Day Before - Flashback Begins]
Fallen lies on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. His phone buzzes. It's Misaki.
Fallen: "Hm? Misaki?"
Misaki (on call): "Is something wrong with you?"
Fallen: "No. Nothing happened."
Misaki: "You sure? You can tell me. I'm your friend."
Fallen: "I said nothing happened."
He ends the call.
Moments later, he hears a knock at the door.
He opens it to see Misaki standing there, arms crossed, hair a little messy from the wind.
Misaki: "Yo. You made me walk alone at night again, you jerk."
Fallen: "Why are you here? I told you-nothing happened."
Misaki: "Don't lie to me. I'm part of your family now, aren't I?"
Fallen lowers his eyes. His voice comes out strained.
Fallen: "My father's been kidnapped... And the one who did it is his oldest friend-the doctor."
Misaki: "What?! Your father's kidnapped? Did you call the police?"
Fallen: "I did. But I can't wait. Tomorrow, I'm going to find him myself."
Misaki: "Come on. Let's go sit in your room and talk properly."
[In Fallen's Room - Night]
The two sit quietly. A heavy silence hangs in the air.
Suddenly, Misaki gently places her hand on Fallen's, resting it over his on the bed.
Misaki: "Hey... don't stress. We'll find him."
Fallen: "Hm."
Misaki: "I'll try asking around. My friends might know something too."
Fallen: "...Thanks."
Misaki frowns, then lightly taps his forehead.
Misaki: "Hey! Why are you acting like a brick? Hm? Hm? Hm?"
Before Fallen can respond, Misaki grabs his hand-
pulls him toward her-
And kisses him.
Fallen's eyes go wide.
Fallen: "H-Hey-!"
She leans in and whispers softly into his ear:
Misaki: "Shut up."
The rest of the night... fades into silence.
[Next Morning - Before Sunrise]
Fallen gets dressed quietly, leaving Misaki still asleep.
He steps outside, heading off with No.2...
To go find his father.
Scene fades.
