Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Smaller

Peter noticed that Black Zetsu's head had tilted to the side and then gone completely still. He panicked, thinking that Black Zetsu had been so angry he'd actually died.

"Damn it, Black Zetsu, don't scare me like that!" Peter shouted, frantically shaking Black Zetsu's motionless body.

But there was no reaction. No groaning, no twitching—nothing.

"Black Zetsu, you can't die!" Peter yelled, slapping Black Zetsu across the face.

Smack!

"What about my forty billion? What am I supposed to do with it if you die?"

Smack!

"And your old mother—she's still stuck on the moon! What'll happen to her if you're gone?"

Smack!

"You have to live, damn it!"

Smack!

After several hard slaps, the right side of Black Zetsu's face had swollen up like a balloon.

Peter looked at his handiwork and felt a wave of guilt. He had just meant to wake him up—not deform his face!

Just as Peter was wondering what to do next, Black Zetsu's eyes slowly opened. He looked around, dazed and confused, like someone waking from a deep coma.

Peter immediately lit up. "You're awake! Black Zetsu, you're alive!"

He couldn't believe it—he had actually managed to slap Black Zetsu back to life. What a miracle!

Black Zetsu groaned and instinctively covered his swollen cheek, which was now burning with pain. "What... happened to me?"

He remembered passing out from rage, but now... why was his face hurting like hell?

He tried to recall if he had fallen sideways when he lost consciousness—but no, he clearly remembered collapsing straight forward. There was no way he landed on his face.

Suspicious, he looked at Peter and asked, "Boss... why does my face hurt so much?"

Peter gave him a wide grin. "You fainted just now, and I was afraid you were in critical condition. So I slapped you a few times to wake you up. Turns out it worked!"

As he spoke, Peter raised his reddened palm proudly. "I didn't hold back at all. That was a full-powered slap—just for you."

His palms were still stinging.

Black Zetsu stared at him in disbelief. He hadn't expected Peter to use brute force like that, but... at least it showed he cared.

Sighing, Black Zetsu touched his swollen cheek and gave a pained smile. "It's fine. Just hurts a little."

"Good, good," Peter nodded, helping him stand.

Once on his feet, Black Zetsu rubbed his temples to ease the remaining dizziness. Deep inside, he felt lucky—if he had stayed unconscious for much longer, who knows what kind of crazy ideas Peter might have come up with next?

"Boss," Black Zetsu said through gritted teeth, "can you tell me exactly where Ah Fei is?"

Peter smiled slyly. "Sure thing. That'll be five million taels."

Black Zetsu didn't hesitate. He pulled out the money and handed it over.

Peter stuffed the cash into his pocket, then reached for the laptop sitting on the chair beside him. It was a high-end machine he had bought for a whopping one million taels. Its capabilities were unmatched—it was practically omnipotent.

"Let's use the Sky Eye to find him," Peter muttered as he typed rapidly on the keyboard. Soon, a satellite view of the landscape popped up on the screen.

From above, they could see a group of White Zetsu gathered in one spot.

Peter was immediately curious. What were they doing?

He zoomed in.

As the image became clearer, he noticed something odd in the center of the group. A strange, heart-shaped object...

The more he looked, the more it resembled something… unpleasant.

Wait a minute—this wasn't a heart-shaped object. It was definitely feces.

Peter's expression turned grim. The corners of his mouth twitched as he stared at the disgusting scene.

"You White Zetsu really know how to have fun…" he muttered, utterly speechless.

Meanwhile, Black Zetsu caught sight of Ah Fei on the screen and exploded in anger. He gritted his teeth. "Boss, tell me—where exactly are they?"

Peter checked the coordinates and replied, "Just north of the Land of Fire, near a fruit forest."

"Thanks, boss. I swear—I won't let them off the hook this time!" Black Zetsu growled.

Peter looked at him seriously and patted him on the shoulder. "Black Zetsu, your vision is too narrow."

"What?" Black Zetsu blinked in confusion. "Vision?"

Peter balled his hand into a fist, then opened it wide. "You need to expand your thinking. Be more open-minded. Think about it—if someone who betrayed you could get away with over two billion taels, then imagine what people who are loyal to you could do. Maybe tens of billions!"

"Appreciate the applause," he added dramatically.

Black Zetsu stared at him blankly. "Boss… I don't understand."

Peter sighed and patiently explained, "Look. Ah Fei may have stolen over two billion, but that doesn't mean you should kill him. A living Ah Fei is worth way more than a dead one."

He leaned in closer. "Think about it. You could have them form an intelligence network. White Zetsu may not be good fighters, but their ability to gather information is incredible. Use that."

Peter began to pace like a business coach giving a motivational speech. "Sell the intel they gather to people who need it—at premium rates. You'll recoup your losses in no time, and you might even rake in tens of billions!"

He pointed at Black Zetsu with confidence. "This is the big picture. Appreciate the applause!"

Black Zetsu's eyes lit up. The more he thought about it, the more sense it made.

He began to clap enthusiastically. "You're right, boss! You're a genius!"

The plan was brilliant. While White Zetsu weren't combat-heavy, they were perfect for intel gathering. If he could organize them into a proper intelligence network, he'd create a steady income stream.

And with that kind of money coming in… it wouldn't be long before he could amass forty billion and finally resurrect his mother.

Full of gratitude, Black Zetsu turned to Peter, bowed deeply, and said, "Thank you, boss. Thank you for showing me a new path to riches."

Peter smiled and patted his shoulder. "You're welcome. Just keep working hard. I believe you'll bring your mother back in no time."

Black Zetsu nodded firmly. "I'll do whatever it takes!"

"Great. Now get to work!" Peter encouraged.

"Yes, boss! I'm off to make money!" Black Zetsu said excitedly before hurrying out the door.

He couldn't wait to track down Ah Fei and put him and the other White Zetsu to work as intelligence agents.

After he left, Peter smiled with satisfaction.

Black Zetsu had a great attitude. As long as he kept working hard and customers kept coming to Peter's shop to spend money, Peter would keep getting his cut.

It was a win-win situation.
