*In the dungeons, the Geckles and the Munce mine under the supervision of Re-Awakened. The ninja watch from inside their cage.*
"Ugh!" Nya tries and fails to open the cage.
"Save your strength, Sis. It's Vengestone." said Kai.
"Ugh. The Munce had faith in me, and now look at them. Right back where they were. In chains. I can't believe we were gullible enough to trust the Skull Sorcerer." said Nya in a frustrated tone.
"Yep. I'm probably going down as the worst Chancellor in Geckle history." said Kai.
"I do not see that we had any choice," said Zane.
"Zane's right. If we hadn't surrendered, he would have destroyed all of them." said Jay.
"Yeah, we didn't have much of a choice really. Not even I could have done anything with the state I'm in." Nova said with a small sigh sitting on the ground.
She looked at her arm made of darkness, she could already feel that she was losing control on having it stay stable in this solid form. "When we get out of here, I'm gonna have to work on making myself a new arm that can contain the darkness."
"At least they're still alive. There's still hope." said Lloyd glancing at the others and over at Nova with a hint of worry.
"Hahaha. That's the spirit, but unfortunately, there is no hope. I have decided a demonstration is needed to show my true power over this mountain." The Skull Sorcerer laughed evilly.
"Great, the Skull Clown is back." Nova rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Nova, not helping." Kai elbowed Nova at her comment before turning his attention to the Skull Sorcerer. "What kind of demonstration?"
"For too long, the Geckles and Munce have resisted my rule. But when they witness your destruction..." said the Skull Sorcerer.
"Destruction!" shouted Hazza D'ur.
"When all hope is lost..." The Skull Sorcerer went on.
"Lost." said Hazza D'ur.
"They wil-" said the Skull Sorcerer before being cut off.
"Will you s̷̻̰̟͖̗͈͕̹̝̃̓̀̓͋͐̎̿͝͝h̶̛̘͓̱̩͚̗̿͂͗̾̂̈̂͑̅̈́͝ͅư̸̭͈̆̎̉͛̿̔̓̾̔̊͒̂̍̽͝t̷̢͙̤̂̐̈͊͜͝ ̵̧̬͇̱͍͇͓͒ứ̵̢͚̹̜͂̌̂̔̔̿̐̒̓͘͘͜͝p̴̛͖͇̰͙͕̱̍̾̀̆̈́͠ already! We get it Skull Clown!" Nova growled angrily at him as she changed to her oni form. "And you!" She pointed over at Hazza D'ur. "Another word out of your brainless mouth! And I'll be the one here leveling this mountain to the ground, if you don't by the motherfucking Ö̸̧̖̲͚̰͚̘̥̣̹́̅͋͌͐̑̈́̓̾̉͛͛̕̚͘̚͜͠ͅv̴̨̬̮̩̖͕͑̃͑̕ę̷͈͕̪̟̪͈̫͉̽͋͛̃͠r̸̨̡̘͕̼̠̬̩͙͚͕̓̃̉͒͗̇̐͘ͅl̶̛̻̯̖̲̱̂́̀̈̍̎̎̌o̷̬̟͈̺̹̲͍̗̯͓̪͆̂̈́̓͑̃̆́̓͊̀̀r̷̫͈̦͓̳͖̳͉̦̹͔̣͉̣̞̩͐͌͝ͅd̴̨̢̛̛͕̫̣̬͍͖̲͈̬̺̤͇̀͂̈́̃̅͆̑̉͋̑̉͘͝ shut the fuck up!"
For a good minute or two it was completely silent all around them at Nova's outburst, though it seemed a little different by the smoke of darkness slowly coming from her, let alone the cold deadly look in her eyes.
"....Ocea." Lloyd placed a hand on Nova's shoulder, snapping her out of the growing rage coming from her.
Jay let out a nervous laugh before changing the subject, as he turned to the Skull Sorcerer. "What are you gonna do to us?"
"You'll perish at the talons of Grief-Bringer." The Skull Sorcerer answered, while trying to forget Nova's outburst.
"Grief-Bringer!" shouted Hazza D'ur, but took a nervous glance over at Nova, hoping she wouldn't lose again.
"Okay, I'm with Nova, that's getting annoying." said Nya.
"Yeah, I don't know who to look at, you or the skull." said Kai, causing a small snicker coming from Nova, which was a good sign on their part.
"I'm looking at the skull, it's not as ugly. Hahaha!" Jay started laughing out loud, to which Nova joined him in.
"Silence! Enjoy your final moments of levity." said the Skull Sorcerer.
"They will be your last." said Hazza D'ur.
"Aren't you forgetting one thing? Cole. He's still out there, and if I know Cole, by now, he's found King Vangelis and told him everything. They're probably on their way to stop you right now." said Lloyd.
"Mossbrain." Nova facepalmed herself with a heavy sigh.
"Oh, that's right. You don't know." The Skull Sorcerer transforms back into Vangelis and laughs.
"Am I supposed to be impressed? I've seen more TV villains do better than that." said Nova in a monotone voice, not an ounce of being impressed.
"You?" Lloyd said, surprised.
"Vangelis?" said Nya just as surprised.
"Your friend did come to me. And I cast him into the bowels of the mountain. He and that old fool, Wu." He turns back into the Skull Sorcerer.
"You're not the first to think so. But he has a way of popping up when you least expect it." said Lloyd, with full confidence that Cole would come and save them.
Plundar and the Upply spy on them from behind some rocks. "Look, the Skull Sorcerer."
"Tis' unfortunate we cannot hear what he says," said Fungus.
"You're not missing much. Once you've heard one of those villain-speeches, you've heard them all. He's just saying "Blah blah, my evil plan, blah blah, no one's gonna save you." said Cole.
"No one is coming to save you. Have the courage to accept your fate." said the Skull Sorcerer.
"Just tell me one thing. The Blades of Deliverance. It was you who stole them, wasn't it?" Lloyd asked while taking a glance over at Nova, who gave him a slight nod to confirm his suspicion.
The Skull Sorcerer let out a chuckle. "You mean ... these?" Two Awakened Warriors raise the blades.
"Those belonged to my mother." Cole emerges from their hiding spot, but Plundar pulls him down.
"Are you crazy? Get down!" said Plundar.
"So you did steal them," said Lloyd.
"No shit sherlock, do you see any other blades like those?" Nova raised an eyebrow, shaking her head.
"It was no great task. The Geckles and Munce are simple creatures. Easy to deceive. And I knew they would blame each other." said the Skull Sorcerer.
"Making them easier to divide and conquer." said Zane, finally seeing the whole picture by the reveal.
"Now you know. May the knowledge bring you some peace in your final moments." The Skull Sorcerer flies away.
"Ocea, how are you holding up? Your outburst there isn't like your normal outbursts." Lloyd questioned with worry for what was going on with her.
"Yeah, I'm not the only one here who was getting this whole deadly, and evil sinister feeling from her by that outburst right?" Jay questioned with more worry hiding behind Nya.
"Nova, what's going on?" Nya asked, walking over and placing a hand on her shoulder.
"You haven't been much yourself since your whole arm thing, from what I've gathered when you met up with Nya, Jay and Lloyd." said Kai crossing his arms.
Nova took a look at her right arm, feeling the control slowly slipping but tried her best to keep it solid. ".....I'm in pain, tired, can hardly stand let alone walk! Can't use my elemental powers, lost an arm, and having to be surrounded by shouting and yelling! Why do you guys think I'm MOTHERFUCKING A̴̩̹͔̞̥̦͂͐̀̀̀͆͌̎̀̿̉̕͝C̵̛̛̦͈͛͛̏́̑̀̈͑͑̍̈́͌̓̈͠T̷̨͍̗̬̯͙͑̅̋̌͋̑͘͜I̴̡̛͕͕̗͉̣̤̗̞̟̘̼̅̑̈́͌̓͐̋̍̊͆̑̈́͝ͅŇ̸͙͇̟͛́̽̿͐̎͋͘͠͠͠G̷̢̛͍̺̬͇͖̘̔͐̂́̐́̈́̂̔͐̈̒͝ͅ LIKE THIS RIGHT NOW!!!" She shouted out angrily at them as the feeling Jay got from her earlier was returning by her outburst.
They took a step away from Nova when she was having another outburst, but Lloyd was the first to walk over to her and didn't say a word as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a hug, trying to give her comfort and hoping she would calm down.
"....I just wanna *sobs* go home." Nova wrapped her arms around Lloyd, softly crying into his chest as her body was shaking, she was at her limit for once in her life. She didn't know what else to do, let alone her talk with the Overlord that made all of it ten times worse as she hadn't gotten over what the fake Overlord had told her.
The others looked at each other worried by Nova's state, she really felt broken and fragile to everything around her right now, that her emotions were all over the place with no control of them.
"We will butterfly, I promise we'll go back home soon." said Lloyd holding her close, kissing her forehead while rubbing her back.
*It wasn't long until they all heard the sound of a gong being hit on, the sound getting everyone's attention.*
"Hear me, Geckles and Munce! Hear and bear witness to the power that is mine! Look upon those who defied me. Look upon those in whom you placed your trust, and watch as they come to their end! Release Grief-Bringer!" said the Skull Sorcerer.
*Someone throws a rock at a Warrior, causing the cage door of Grief-Bringer to close. Cole, dressed in his Hero suit, lands in front of the Skull Sorcerer.*
"Who dares?" The Skull Sorcerer questioned.
"I'll give you three guesses." said Cole standing in front of him.
"You!" shouted the Skull Sorcerer.
"Yes!" Jay cheered.
"Cole!" shouted Zane.
"I knew it!" shouted Nya.
"Kick his butt, Cole!" shouted Kai.
"You gonna cheer for him too?" Lloyd looked down at Nova, but she shook her head not much in the mood for cheering as she kept hugging him.
Lloyd gives a simple nod, patting her head not wanting to force her into anything when she wasn't in the mood for it.
"It's impossible. I cast you into the bowels of the mountain!" shouted the Skull Sorcerer.
"You tried. And failed. And this time, I'm ready for you!" Cole exclaimed, getting ready to fight.
"Cole, get us out of here!" shouted Lloyd at Cole while holding Nova close to him.
"Open the cages! We can help!" shouted Nya.
Adam appears near Jay, scaring him. "Aah!"
"I'm on it." said Plundar.
"Who are you?" Nya asked.
"Plundar's the name. One of the Lowly. Except I think we're the "Upply" now." said Plundar.
"Oh my god, these guys are like dnd characters." Nova whispered to herself, while wiping away her tears. Knowing they were close to finishing this whole thing she tried staying strong for just this last part.
"Um, the who?" Jay asked.
"We're in Cole's crew." Plunder answered his question.
"Cole's got a ... crew?" Kai questioned.
"Are you doing better, Nova?" Lloyd questioned when he noticed the change in her mood after these guys showed up.
"Yeah, for now at least. I just want this to be over with....and go home." said Nova giving a slight smile though it wasn't much.
Lloyd returned the smile before helping her up since her crutch had been taken away, "You stay back while we go and help." He helped her out of the cage before running after the others.
"So, you need any hel-" Plunder didn't get any chance to finish his sentence as Nova used what strength she had left in her to follow Lloyd, not wanting to be left behind even if she was in no position to fight.
"By the motherfucking Ȏ̴̭͇̹̏̍͒̏̚ͅv̷̛͇̮͛́̋̀̀͋̌̀̂̂̋̌̏̈́́͘e̶̡̧̨̠̹̖̹̙̳̺̰͌̈́̑̕͠͝ͅͅr̷̡̺̻̎̀̐́͑̊̉͜ļ̸̢̣͍̯͖̞̼͎͙́͒̃̉̇̀̍͐͐̈́̂̕͠ͅͅȯ̸̭̩̖͎̱͕̝̞͉̯̖͉̪͂̅͂̄̐̄͜͠ͅr̶̢̧̢̛̟͉̪̩̹͕͎̜͓͎̬̤͛̈̔̈́͛̓̂͘͠ͅͅd̸̗̭͙̀̾̀̿̒͒͐́̾̇̋͘͘ͅ, I am not gonna be left behind and do nothing. I refuse to be seen as a fragile person!" Nova growled angrily at herself as smoke of darkness was coming from her, let alone her eyes glowing an eerie pink color as she followed the ninja.
"Ninja go!" shouted the ninja along with Nova joining in, much to Lloyd's disapproval.
"Nova! What are you doing! You are in no state to fight!?" shouted Lloyd frustrated but also worried for her.
Nova could already feel that she was losing her balance in just standing, but being as stubborn and headstrong as she was, she forced the shadows to keep her standing, whatever it was helping or making it worse for her. "I'll help, so shut it, greenie."
Lloyd and Nova glared at each other before snapping their attention back to why they were even here. "We'll talk later, when this is over."
Jay went on to find Murtessa. "Need some help?"
"Hi, my sweet Jay." said Murtessa.
"Hehe." Jay let out a nervous laugh.
*Grief-Bringer and the Skull Sorcerer continue attacking Cole.*
"Destroy the others. I will take care of this one personally." The Skull Sorcerer ordered Grief-Bringer.
"Stand your ground! In the name of Milly!" shouted Murtessa.
"Take cover!" shouted Lloyd, taking Nova's hand as he dragged her away with him, from Grief-Bringer's attack.
"Hey!" Grief-Bringer turns to attack Kai.
"Hey! You!" Zane gets Grief-Bringer's attention, then leaps onto his Mino and rides away with Kai.
Nova had been dragged into the mines by Lloyd as cover from Grief-Bringer's attack, much to her annoyance. "I can help Lloyd, I'm not gonna stand back and do nothing." She crossed her arms glaring at him.
"Nova you aren't in the right state to fight, yet alone in the mind to think! Your emotions are all over the place, and not to mention you can hardly stand straight as it is!" Lloyd told her with concern in his voice for her being, and just wanted her to for once stand back from a fight.
"You can't make me sit this one out! I'm not some fragile person that is gonna break by a simple touch!" shouted Nova at him.
"But you are fragile Nova! You only have one arm left! And you're breaking down in serious situations like these right now!" shouted Lloyd back at her. "You're staying back, and I'm saying this as the leader of this team." With that said he left her to get back into the fight.
Nova just stood there when he shouted those words at her and left her in the mines for her own safety.
While she didn't hear anything, she knew the Overlord had been watching and hearing their argument, as she let out an annoyed growl, stomping her foot into the ground, almost falling over by that action.
Nova went on to slam her fist of darkness into a wall, leaving a few cracks in the stone wall. "I hate being seen as the weak one on this team, one fucking good thing happens and then double the bad things happens right after!" Her eyes once again were glowing in that eerie pink color as she turned her attention back towards the sound of fighting.
"If I had more power, I could help and not be seen as the weak person that needs help.....If.....I wasn't dying by using my powers I could help." Nova's eyes kept staying pink for a good while before they slowly changed back to being purple and blue.
Nova's thoughts were going into darker places until she was snapped out of it by a loud sound, she quickly ran out of the mines as she took in the sight of what she was seeing.
"It's the Burst!" shouted Wu.
"Stop! I command you! Stop!" The Skull Sorcerer throws the Skull of Hazza D'ur at Cole, but is knocked back by the Spinjitzu Burst as Cole takes the skull. "No!" Cole catches the Skull of Hazza D'ur "No!" Cole throws the Skull of Hazza D'ur into the ground, destroying it. Chompy and Grief-Bringer flies toward each other, but Grief-Bringer is shattered at the last second. The Awakened Warriors to fall apart. Cole then collapses, and Vania and Hailmar catch him.
"Cole! Oh, are you okay?" Wu worriedly asked.
"Never felt better," said Cole.
Vangelis turns back into his original form. "I yield! Forgive me!"
"Don't ask for my forgiveness. Ask theirs." said Cole.
"Vania? My daughter? All I did, I did for the glory of -" Vangelis tried explaining.
"Hailmar, get him out of my sight." Two guards arrest Vangelis.
"Unhand me! I am your king! I am your king!" shouted Vangelis.
*Back in the Kingdom of Shintaro, Vania flies up to a platform and reads from a scroll.*
"I, Princess Vania of the Kingdom of Shintaro, do hereby solemnly swear to stand up to those that are cruel and unjust. To uphold the laws of the Kingdom and to protect and faithfully serve all who dwell above and below the mountain." She read out loud.
"Then it is my great honor and privilege to pronounce you, Queen Vania, the rightful ruler of Shintaro." said Hailmar, as the crowd cheers, and Fungus creates fireworks.
*The ninja are getting ready to go home.*
"Goodbye, my Jay. I will miss you, very much." said Murtessa.
"Uh, I'll, uh, miss you too, my Queen." Jay kisses her hand.
"You'll - aah!" Murtessa, hugs Jay.
"Princess, I-I just wanted to say, I was wrong about you. Really wrong. You saved all of our lives. I'm sorry I didn't trust you." said Lloyd.
"It's okay. I've learned the hard way that sometimes trust is abused. I'm glad I earned yours." said Vania, smiling at him.
Lloyd returned the smile, before looking over at Nova who was standing in the shadows while using her new crutches to be able to move around without falling over. He went on to go over and join her along with hoping to speak with her after their little fight.
"How's your new crutches doing? Better than the one you had back at the caves?" Lloyd asked with a soft smile.
Nova glanced at him, giving a small shrug but didn't say anything.
"Moonie, don't tell me you're still mad about what happened back down there, we both know you weren't in the right state to fight." Lloyd gently took one of her hands in his.
"....Yeah....the right state." said Nova with a sigh but didn't look at him.
"Hey, how about we go on another date? Just the two of us like before?" Lloyd suggested, kissing her cheek, hoping it would lighten the mood a little.
"....Not this time Lloyd....I have something else I wanna focus on right now." Nova glanced at her arm of darkness.
Lloyd noticed the look in her eyes along with how she was looking at her fake arm. "Okay, then how about we think of something else when you've taken care of what you have in mind." He wrapped an arm around her, trying to give her some comfort.
"...Maybe.....right now I just wanna go home." said Nova leaning against him.
A few minutes later they sail away in the Destiny's Bounty. "Okay, guys. Take us home." said Lloyd while having his arms wrapped around Nova as to comfort her.
"I'd rather not. I'd rather keep going." said Wu.
"Go where?" Nya asked.
"Wherever the wind takes us," said Wu.
"Wow, Master Wu definitely got out of his funk!" said Jay smiling at this.
"I am unfamiliar with that idiom. What does it mean?" Zane questioned.
"It means we're about to go on another adventure, buddy." said Kai.
"Yes, it does!" said Nya.
"Oh. Good. By all means then, "wherever the wind takes us." said Zane.
"Awww, come on! I just wanna go back home already!" Nova complained with an annoyed sigh.
