Chapter 110 - Side Story: The Date 2

[18+ Warning]

It's been a week since season 12

So, whose money did they use to pay for all of this? (Take a guess; it starts with N) >:3

No kitchens were harmed in the making of this chapter. :3

"Sooo, who's ideas was this again?" Nova asked, as she and Lloyd had been brought to a resort for their date, where they would stay for a few days. Besides being part of their date, it also gave them time to relax and recover after what happened. It was mainly for Nova after that fight with the fake Overlord.

"It was Kai who suggested it. He thought it would be good for us," said Lloyd, carrying their bags. Nova had told him she could take her stuff, but he had been against it since he didn't want her to push herself too hard.

Nova let out a heavy sigh. "And you went along with it because?" She raised a questionable eyebrow at him.

"I thought you might want some time away from all the chaos and just enjoy yourself a little with no stress," said Lloyd, smiling at her as they headed inside the hotel to get the key to their room.

"I wasn't that stressed out back home," said Nova, following close behind.

Lloyd looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "You almost destroyed the monastery's west wing and kitchen. You're always exhausted, and do I even need to mention that your powers are still unstable?"

Nova frowned a little before letting out an annoyed sigh. "Fine, fine. Maybe I have been a little stressed out."

They got to the front desk at the hotel, checked in, and then got the key to their room as they took the elevator up.

"Now remember, while we are here, we must not use our powers or work on new weapons. We are here to enjoy ourselves and not worry about anything else," said Lloyd.

Nova rolled her eyes at this since she had heard it many times. "I know, Lloyd; you didn't need to say it more than once," she groaned.

"And no stealing," Lloyd added.

"I haven't stolen anything for a while, Lloyd," said Nova.

"You stole one of my comics three days ago," said Lloyd as they got to their floor and went to the door that led to their room.

"I was bored, and you guys were out being ninjas," said Nova as she walked inside. She was surprised by how big the place was; it even had a balcony. They were lucky they didn't have a kitchen; otherwise, her bad luck would have kicked in.

"Lloyd, quick question." Nova glanced at him. "Was it you or Kai who picked this room?"

Lloyd had placed down their bags as he turned his attention over to her. "Oh, that was Kai. I didn't have much control over this, but why, you ask?"

Nova opened the bedroom to show Lloyd that there was only one bed. "I know I said I'd sleep with you, but that was more because of my nightmares." A slight blush grew on her face.

Lloyd raised an eyebrow before walking behind her and wrapping his arms around her, kissing her neck. "I don't see a problem with it."

Nova started blushing as she turned her head to look at him. "I'm taking the couch."

"Don't be so dramatic, moonie. I'm not gonna do anything unless you are okay with it," said Lloyd before kissing her. "Besides, didn't you sleep fine beside me while we were in the Never-Realm? You didn't seem to complain about that."

"T-that was different," Nova said as she blushed deeper.

"How so?" Lloyd questioned with a smirk growing on his face.

"It was cold, and I didn't wanna freeze to death," said Nova as she gently elbowed his guts. "What kind of plans did you have for our date today?"

Lloyd rolled his eyes playfully before letting her go. "Okay, but you might need to get changed first."

"Changed to what?" Nova asked, confused.

"I saw that there was a pool at this place, so why don't we start our date off with a swim," said Lloyd, going over to grab his bags.

Nova started blushing but got a little nervous as others might see her old scars.

Lloyd took a glance over at her and noticed she was getting nervous. "It's gonna be fine, Ocea. I'll be right there with you so no one sees them."

"I-I don't know, Lloyd, I don't wanna scare someone because of those scars," said Nova, rubbing the back of her neck.

Lloyd walked back over to her and pulled her into a hug. "Don't be scared, let's just give it a try, and if something goes wrong, we can just go back here and watch some TV. It's our first day here, so we don't need to rush anything."

Nova chewed the inside of her cheek as she leaned into the hug. "...Okay."

Lloyd smiled before pulling her into a kiss and went on to have one of his hands go under her shirt and had it explore her body.

Nova returned the kiss as her face was growing red from the feeling of his hand against her skin.

Lloyd slowly pulled away as he looked her in the eyes. "You feeling less nervous now?"

Nova gave a slight nod to his question but was still blushing since he hadn't removed his hand from under her shirt, and it was still moving around.

"Then let's change ourselves and head down to the pool." Lloyd placed a long kiss on her neck, chuckling as he heard a small moan from her before letting go and going to his bags again to grab his shorts.

Nova placed her hand on her neck where he had kissed her, blushing red, but went over to her bags and checked for any swimsuit Nya probably snuck in when she wasn't looking.

It took her a few minutes until she found the swimsuit and saw that it was butterfly-themed. "Well, at least it isn't a bad swimsuit." She went on to grab a hoodie she could wear over her swimsuit until they would get to the pool.

"I'm gonna change in the bathroom." After making sure she had everything, she went into the bathroom to get changed.

"Okay, I'll use the bedroom," said Lloyd before going to get changed.

(This is what her swimsuit looks like.)

Nova checked herself in a mirror and could still see the scars on her back and shoulders, making her a little nervous for others to see them. "By the First Spinjitzu Master, please let this go well without any problems." She almost jumped when she heard knocking on the door.

"Nova, you ready to go?" Lloyd asked as he stood outside the bathroom, already changed into a pair of green shorts and wearing a darker green shirt.

"J-Just a second," said Nova, grabbing her purple hoodie and putting it on so it covered her enough before stepping out of the bathroom.

"You sure it's a good idea to wear a hoodie to the pool and not a shirt?" Lloyd questioned.

"Hey, I'm not questioning about you wearing nothing else but green. So don't come after me about a hoodie." Nova crossed her arms, looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Fine, fine, sorry," said Lloyd before taking her hand in his. "Now, let's head to the pool and have some fun."

A small smile grew on Nova's face, and they headed out of their room together. "After we are done swimming, do you have any other plans for this date? You did say you'll handle the planning this time."

"If I told you anything, it would just ruin the fun," said Lloyd, smirking and kissing her cheek.

"Okay, mister secret, if that's how you wanna play it," said Nova, rolling her eyes.

Lloyd let out a soft laugh. "Just lean back and relax, Ocea. I promise you will love this date much more than our first."

Nova gave him a questionable look. "What makes you believe that?"

Lloyd gave her a mischievous grin. "Since we're staying here for a few days, I'm gonna give you all the attention you want." He leaned down and began kissing her neck.

"L-Lloyd!? Not in p-public, what if someone s-s-sees us!" Nova was all red in the face as she was trying to suppress a moan along with pushing his face away from her neck.

"Relax, I didn't see anyone around when we got on this floor," said Lloyd, wrapping his arms around her. "But seriously, you have been a little jumpy these few days since that boss fight you had with the fake Overlord."

Nova avoided his eyes when he mentioned the fake Overlord, but the fear was still there, though not as bad as when it happened.

Lloyd leaned his forehead against hers. "Moonie, I haven't seen that look on you since the Great Devourer or when we ran from Clouse's pet snake. The real Overlord is gone and hasn't shown any sign for the last few years."

".....I know, but....." Nova bit her lip, wanting to tell him the Overlord would return in a few years. But she couldn't get herself to tell him. "I keep seeing him in my nightmares... no matter how much I try..... he just will not go away."

"So that's why you're having trouble sleeping," said Lloyd, holding her close as he kissed her nose. "But you don't seem to have trouble sleeping when I'm with you."

"Because you make me feel safe and grounded." Nova gave a weak giggle from him, kissing her nose.

"I see, so the green ninja is the only one able to beat dream Overlord." Lloyd teased.

"I guess so." Nova gave him a soft smile, already feeling a little better. She looked behind him, and her eyes widened. "What is your father doing here?"

"What!?" Lloyd turned around to look, only to see that no one was there. "I think you're seeing things." He turned to look back at Nova, only to find her running away from him with her tongue sticking out.

"See you at the pool, slowpoke!" shouted Nova before picking up speed when she saw Lloyd chasing her.

"Get back here! Nova!" shouted Lloyd.

She noticed that he was catching up quickly, so she tried picking up the pace without using her powers, and it wasn't long before she got outside to where the pool was.

Finding a hiding place, she decided to go behind some bushes as she tried to hold back a giggle. After a few minutes of waiting, she thought it was weird she hadn't heard or seen him come out from where they came from. "Did I lose him or something?" She raised her head a little to look over the bushes, trying to see any kind of hints of where Lloyd was.

Then, out of nowhere, she was caught from behind by two strong arms, catching her by surprise as she let out a yelp.

"Did you forget I'm a ninja, moonie? " Lloyd said since he had snuck around without her knowing and had been able to catch her without making a sound. "That was a dirty trick you played there."

Nova turned her head to look at his scowling face and let out a nervous giggle. "Hey, it was worth a try. Plus, your reaction was hilarious."

"Funny you say, then how about I show you something funny," said Lloyd with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Before Nova knew it, she had been picked up bride style and was now being carried towards the pool.

"Lloyd! I'm still wearing my hoodie!" Nova said as she tried to get out of his hold, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't.

"Then you should have taken it off when you were hiding by the bushes," said Lloyd with a smirk, and soon enough threw her into the pool as she let out a scream.

Nova couldn't believe he had just thrown her in the water while still in her hoodie, and she went back to the surface, all wet. "Asshole!" she shouted at him before getting out of the pool, now in a damp hoodie.

Lloyd laughed as he saw her come out all wet with a pouty face. "You were the one who started it; I'm just returning the favor."

Nova rolled her eyes with an annoyed sigh, knowing he was right. With that aside, she pulled her wet hoodie off, so she was now in her swimsuit. She was already getting a little nervous about anyone seeing her scars.

Lloyd stopped laughing when he saw her now without the hoodie and couldn't stop staring at her figure and the swimsuit she was wearing. "Who knew you could be more beautiful in a swimsuit."

Nova's face turned red at his comment, and she glanced at him as she noticed he was seriously checking her out. "T-thanks." She started growing a little shy under his eyes.

Lloyd snapped out of his staring and went on to take off his shirt before placing their clothes by some chairs.

Now, it was Nova's turn to stare at Lloyd's body. So far, she had always tried to avoid looking back at the monastery. But here, she couldn't stop gawking at his muscles. She knew that he had some muscles, but seeing them in full view was so different.

Lloyd noticed Nova's stare and couldn't help but chuckle when walking back over to her. "Liking what you see?"

Nova snapped out of her staring and tried avoiding his eyes, as her face was all red. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said.

"Hmmm, you sure?" He stepped closer and took one of her hands, placing it on his abs. "Last I checked, weren't your hands running around these on our first date?" He raised an eyebrow with a mischievous smile on his face.

Nova felt like she was gonna explode from all of Lloyd's teasing as her hand was touching his abs. "I-I don't remember doing that."

"Then let me help you remember." Lloyd wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into the pool's water.

When in the water, Lloyd was holding her close against his chest while running a hand down the back of her body, not minding the scars on her back. "Who knew you were this beautiful under all of those clothes."

Nova felt a shiver run down her spine when his hand ran down her back. "I-I don't like showing off m-my b-body; people can see my scars, and this makes me feel v-very vulnerable."

"I don't see a problem with your scars; it shows you're strong." Lloyd was swimming around with her still in his arms. "But I can understand not wanting to be seen as vulnerable, but you don't have to hide that from me, moonie."

"I don't know, Lloyd," Nova said as she slowly traced his muscles in his arms. "It scares me to be vulnerable. One small mistake and everything comes crumbling down, and the-" She was cut off mid-sentence by Lloyd pulling her into a kiss.

"I don't see a problem with it; showing your vulnerable side means that you have a much softer and sweeter part of you hidden behind that wall you have up." Lloyd gave her a soft smile before pulling her in for another kiss.

Nova wasn't sure how to answer what he was saying, so she closed her eyes, returning the kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

Lloyd moved them to the deeper end of the pool. He had her legs wrapped around his waist, and he held her close against his chest. The kiss deepened to a French kiss. They got into it for a long while until they had to pull away to catch their breath.

Trying to catch her breath, she began feeling Lloyd kissing down her neck to her collarbone and then back up to her jawline; a shiver ran down her back as she let out a few moans before they got back into kissing again.

Sometime later, they finished their make-out session, and Nova had gone on to splash water at Lloyd before swimming away laughing.

"Oh, that's it! You're on!" Lloyd laughed, swimming after her as they splashed water at each other.

"Having trouble swimming, oh great green ninja?" Nova teased, swimming as fast as she could away from him, but after looking over her shoulder, she couldn't see him anywhere. ".....Oh, no."

The moment she realized he wasn't anywhere to be seen, she was pulled under the water and saw that it was Lloyd with a big smirk on his face.

Nova narrowed her eyes at him and tried kicking him in the water, but he was able to catch her foot and then pulled her towards him, so she was trapped in his arms. With a big smirk, he brought her back to the surface as he tickled her.

She was laughing out loud when he was tickling her as she tried fighting to get free, but nothing was working. She kept laughing until she let out a hiccup. Lloyd started laughing when he heard her hiccups because they sounded like a squeaking mouse.

"Lloyd, s-stop it *hiccup* already I-I can't *laughs* take it a-anymore *hiccup* please!" said Nova through laughter and hiccups while trying to break free.

"Fine, I'm letting you go this time, little mouse." Lloyd chuckles, letting her go.

"Little *hiccup* mouse? Really?" Nova frowned at him while still letting out a few hiccups.

"I find it pretty fitting," said Lloyd, smiling at her.

Nova rolled her eyes before getting out of the water and grabbed one of the free towels for people to take. "Well, I *hiccup* don't."

Lloyd followed after, getting out of the water and grabbing a towel. "Come on, Nova. It just makes you more cute," he said, drying himself with the towel.

"Whatever you say, green bean," said Nova, drying her hair before wrapping the towel around her body.

Lloyd let his towel lay over his shoulders as he walked over and wrapped his arms around her. "Don't get all moody now, Ocea." He kissed the top of her head.

"I'm not moody, greenie," said Nova, leaning her back against his chest. "Just tired from the swimming."

"Well, you haven't slept much these past few days, clearly from the nightmares you mentioned earlier." Lloyd looked down at her as he let her lean against him. "How about we go back to our room and watch some movies on the TV for the rest of the day? Just us resting on the couch, maybe eating some snacks. What do you say about that?"

Nova giggles softly, with a hint of tiredness. "Netflix and chill sure sounds fine with me."

"Net-what?" Lloyd raised an eyebrow in confusion, never having heard that word before.

"Just something else from my old world," said Nova with a small smile, sighing when looking over at her hoodie. "You still owe me a dry hoodie." She pouted.

Lloyd rolled his eyes playfully. "You can take my shirt." He suggested giving her another kiss on the head.

"Are you sure? I wouldn't want you to catch a cold while walking around wet," Nova said, looking up at him.

"I'm sure, butterfly, so stop worrying so much." Lloyd chuckled at her concern for him.

"Okay, if you say so." Nova put her towel away and went on to put on Lloyd's shirt, as it was almost too big for her.

Lloyd smiled when he saw her wearing his shirt, which was double her size. "I'll say, green kind of suits you." He went on to take her wet hoodie before using his free hand to take hers.

A slight blush appeared on Nova's face as she smiled shyly. "You better be careful. I don't want to start stealing your color, green ninja. Might wanna think of a backup color." She teased.

Lloyd rolled his eyes, smiling at her as they returned to their room. "If you take my color, I might as well take yours."

"I can't imagine you in purple; something about that just feels so wrong," Nova said, shaking her head at the thought of him in anything purple.

"I guess that's why it makes you look more beautiful in that color, butterfly." They soon got back to their room.

"I'll give back the shirt after I change out of this swimsuit," said Nova as she looked at her clothes.

"Nah, keep it on. I'll grab another shirt," said Lloyd.

"Okay, if you're sure," said Nova, blushing a little as she went on to grab some simple pants that she could relax in before going to the bathroom so she could get changed.

After changing into some comfortable clothes while still wearing Lloyd's shirt, she came out of the bathroom to see that Lloyd had already changed into some other green clothes. She also noticed that he had made them some popcorn they could eat while watching movies.

"So, got any movie in mind that we should watch first?" She asked, walking over and stealing a few popcorn from the bowl.

Lloyd rolled his eyes playfully when she stole some popcorn but said nothing about it. He brought the bowl to the couch, with Nova following right behind. "Yeah, I already found one for us to watch."

"Cool, what's it called, and what's it about?" Nova asked, grabbing a blanket as she sat on the couch to get comfortable.

"It's called The Last Light." As for what it's about, I'm not gonna spoil that," said Lloyd, grabbing the remote as he sat down and pulled Nova into his lap. He held her close as he covered both of them in the blanket.

Nova pouted at him, not telling her what it was about, but sighed, leaning into him. She was getting comfortable when the movie started, and it didn't even go more than 5 minutes until she found out what it was about: it was a horror movie.

She quickly covered her eyes when she saw someone getting killed. "Fuck you, Lloyd. I told you I didn't like horror, and here we are watching one; I hate you so much." She slowly peeked between her fingers before letting out a scream and tried hiding under the blanket.

Lloyd chuckled, turning her around so she didn't have to watch. "I didn't think you would react this badly to it."

"Bullshit, you knew what you were doing when you picked this movie." Nova narrowed her eyes at him.

A smirk grew on Lloyd's face. "Maybe." He kissed her forehead as he ran his fingers through her hair. "But that doesn't mean we can't still relax and get comfortable."

"I hope this movie is short so we can watch a new movie that isn't horror." Nova pouted, letting out a huff before hearing a scream from the movie. She quickly hid her face against his chest.

"Don't worry, butterfly. I already have a much funnier movie in mind we can watch after this," said Lloyd, leaning down to her ear and beginning to nibble it.

Nova's face turned red as she pushed his head away from her ear. "L-Lloyd!"

Lloyd chuckled as he got pushed away. "I'm just trying to lighten the mood so you aren't scared through this movie."

Nova rolled her eyes with a sigh. "At least leave my ears out of it." She pouted a little.

"Hmmm, so you want something like this instead." Lloyd leaned and began kissing her neck, even giving her a few hickies.

Nova tried speaking but instead let out a moan as she leaned into the kisses he gave her.

"There's no need to speak. Just relax and enjoy this until the movie is over," said Lloyd in between the kissing, moving a hand under her shirt and having it run over her body.

Nova's moans were growing louder as time went by, and it was driving her mad. Her body was craving more while her brain was saying enough.

"Lloyd, you *moans* are d-driving me *moans* c-crazy." Nova glanced at him as she grabbed his shirt. "I-if you keep going *moans* like this, I-I'm not *moans* gonna be able to *moans* r-resist it anymore."

Lloyd chuckled at her struggling to speak, so he slowly pulled away. "Then it's a good thing the movie just finished."

Nova was breathing heavily when he stopped, but she couldn't help but narrow her eyes at him. Since she didn't want him to stop, she found this annoying.

Lloyd rolled his eyes as he noticed the look that she was giving him. "You need rest, Nova; I'm not gonna take this any further for today. Maybe tomorrow when you have more energy." He grabbed the remote once again and picked a different movie that was more light-hearted.

Nova let out a huff, crossing her arms while leaning against him. "I have enough energy; I can take it." Her face was slowly turning red.

"No, that's just you being stubborn. We just got here today, so I don't see a reason to rush it." Lloyd kissed her head, holding her close with the blanket over them. "We still have a few days here, so we can take our time with this. I'm sure you would like that better. Knowing you, you are only saying this because I wasn't giving you a break for a good hour."

"W-whatever." Nova sighed. Even though she knew that he was right, she didn't have the energy to go further, and if her mind were more precise, she would be more against it. She closed her eyes, listening to his heartbeat and breathing.

Lloyd shook his head at her stubbornness but was glad to see she was finally trying to get some rest. "Don't worry, moonie. I'll keep those nightmares far away from you."

A small smile grew on Nova's face as she snuggled into him. "I love you." She whispered as she finally fell into a deep sleep.

"Love you too, Nova." Lloyd gently ran his fingers through her hair, a soft smile on his face. "Who would have thought I'd have you back in my life after these few years?" He kissed her forehead.

"I'll make sure I'm never gonna lose you again, I promise," Lloyd whispered as he noticed her snuggle into him.

*The next day.*

Nova turned in her sleep. She slowly opened her eyes, only to widen when she saw Lloyd sleeping beside her with an arm over her. She also noticed they weren't on the couch anymore but were now lying in the bed. A slight blush started growing on her face.

"When did he move us to the bed?" Nova watched his sleeping face closely, finding it cute. She raised a hand and carefully ran her fingers through his hair. "Maybe it's not that bad, sleeping with him. I didn't even have any nightmares like the other times, and I get to wake up to seeing his face."

"Enjoying the view, Ocea?" Lloyd had woken up a bit ago when he felt her fingers going through his hair and took notice of the soft smile on her face.

"You wish." She moved to get up but was pulled back down into Lloyd's arms.

"Let's stay like this for a while longer." He held her close against his chest as he wrapped his legs around hers.

"Fine, but don't blame me if I fall back asleep." Nova rested her head against his chest, listening closely to his breathing.

Lloyd let out a slight laugh at that. "At least you're in a good mood; I'm guessing you didn't have any nightmares."

"No, I had no nightmares, which I'm very happy about." She went on to fidget with part of his shirt as she was taking in his scent, feeling safe and comfortable from it.

".....So, I was wondering... I know I said that I only wanted to sleep with you because of the nightmares.... B-but I wouldn't mind making it p-p-permanent." Her face grew red, and she couldn't look at him.

"Sure, we can make it permanent; I wouldn't mind waking up seeing your beautiful face every morning." Lloyd moved some hair out of Nova's face so he could better see it. "It would also make it easier to keep you from trying to sneak out and steal stuff."

Nova narrowed her eyes at him. "You think I sneak out at night, stealing stuff when you guys are asleep? Jeez, relax my guy. I would never do that."

Lloyd raised an eyebrow, not believing her one bit with that part. "Don't think I haven't noticed you are sneaking out a few times while using a shadow clone as a cover-up."

"By the First Spinjitzu Master, first Ronin, and now you are catching on to my tricks." Nova pouted at that.

"That means I'm starting to know you very well, and soon, I'll catch on to every time you're hiding something." A smirk grew on Lloyd's face as he kissed her nose.

Nova giggled when he kissed her nose, rolling her eyes playfully at him. "Where would the fun be in you knowing everything about me?" She gently pushed him away as she got out of the bed.

"It means that you don't have to hide anything from me anymore, like a lie or what you see with your future sight," said Lloyd, also getting out of bed.

Nova frowned. She didn't like them talking about her future sight again, as it would only end with them fighting again. "Lloyd, you know I can't tell you anything about it. Not after you all thought Zane was dead and blamed me for not sharing."

She walked over to her bags, where Lloyd had moved into the room while still asleep, and started digging out some clothes.

Lloyd released a painful wince at that reminder, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, but it all turned out okay when we discovered he was alive."

"And if he hadn't been alive? Then what? You guys would still blame me, and I wouldn't be welcome on the team anymore, Lloyd." Nova let out a heavy sigh. "It's not that I didn't wanna tell you guys, but I was scared that if we saved Zane, it might have ended up being one of you guys instead that got sent to the Never-Realm. And unlike Zane, we wouldn't have lived as long to be saved in time."

Lloyd wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a hug. "You could have still told me, Ocea. That way, you wouldn't be alone carrying all of this on your shoulders."

Nova bit her lower lip, thinking hard about her words and what to tell him. "Lloyd..... I-"

"How about we drop this topic for now and focus on having a good day." Lloyd smiled at her as he kissed her nose.

Nova giggled softly as she pushed him away. "That sounds good enough for me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get changed." She picked up her clothes and began walking out but was stopped when Lloyd grabbed her wrist.

"You can change here; I'll take the bathroom this time." Lloyd offered.

"Well, aren't you a gentleman today, unlike yesterday." Nova humored with a raised eyebrow.

"Hey, I'll say I was very much a gentleman, yesterday." Lloyd crossed his arms.

"Yeah, right, and I'm a fancy lady." Nova placed her hands on her hips, looking at him.

"Keep pushing, shrimp, and I won't be much of a gentleman today," said Lloyd.

"Keep telling yourself that, broccoli, and I won't make it easy for you," said Nova.

They stared at each other for a good while until Lloyd sighed. "I'll see you outside when dressed, then we can get breakfast." He walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Nova shook her head, changed into fresh clothes, and brushed her messy hair.

(What she is wearing today.)

When she was done, she made sure to put on the butterfly necklace, smiling softly at it before walking out of the room. She saw Lloyd already waiting in the living room in yet another green shirt.

"I take it you're ready to go," said Lloyd, taking her hand in his as they walked out of the room together.

"Yup, so where are we gonna eat? I mean, this is a hotel, so surely, there gotta be a place where we can eat," said Nova, walking with him.

"We can eat there for dinner, but I thought we could eat at a cafe for breakfast." Lloyd took them to the elevator this time and pressed a button to take them to the ground floor.

"Huh, okay, that sounds like a good start for the day," said Nova, leaning against the elevator wall as they went down.

"So, how about you tell me how you got the title Butterfly Queen in Prime Empire?" Lloyd questioned as he leaned back next to her.

Nova gave a slight shrug to his question as she tried remembering how it all happened.

"I was still testing my abilities in the game, and I had just bought myself some butterfly wings for my avatar. So when I got into a dungeon with many waves, and each one had stronger enemies, I was in a party of six, and as time went on, we were starting to struggle." Nova explained as she was fidgeting with her necklace.

"Three of the players were already down to 1 life, so I had to devise a plan quickly on how to keep everyone alive while also being able to take down those enemies. So, before I even knew it, I just began using every trick I had up my sleeves and used my gaming abilities to move around in the air while using my weapons in any way I could. And in the end, we all survived and won that game, and those five players went on to spread the rumors about me, and before I knew it, I was given that title." Nova finished explaining as they reached the ground floor.

Lloyd gave a long whistle before taking her hand and leaving the elevator. "That's impressive, but gaming abilities? Is that what you've been calling them?"

"Well yeah, they reminded me of a game I liked playing in my old world, and I couldn't understand why I had them, fuck not even the Overlord could give a right answer." Nova giggled at that memory.

"When did you figure out you were the Overlord's sha-daughter?" Lloyd asked, unsure what word to use, so they decided to go with a daughter instead of shadow since she hated being called that.

"Hmm, probably around the start of seaso-I mean some time after we beat the Great Devourer but before we got aged up." She had to quickly catch herself from saying season 2 since that would be weird.

Lloyd gave her a skeptical look as he raised an eyebrow but decided not to ask what she was about to say. "How did you find out?"

"I am or was able to talk with him, like I'm the only person who can hear his voice when he wanna talk, or he would appear in my head when I was unconscious." Nova tried explaining the best way she could.

"When was the last time you heard anything from him?" Lloyd led her out of the hotel and began walking down the street.

Nova opened her mouth to answer but quickly closed it again, thinking about what answer to give him. ".....Back on Chen's island, after I lost my human form and passed out. He offered to help me stay alive if I reconnected with him since my powers originally came from him."

Lloyd stopped in his tracks and turned to look at her. "And you just accepted that offer without thinking about what he might do to you if you did?"

"I'm not stupid, Lloyd, even I questioned him about it. But just this once, he wasn't pulling any tricks on me, mostly because he didn't have the strength to do anything else..... and if I didn't take that offer, I would have died soon after." Nova let out a heavy sigh.

"And you haven't heard anything from him since then?" Lloyd questioned, looking closely at her.

Nova shook her head. "No, I haven't for the last few years."

"Hmmm." Lloyd went on, walking again with her. "So, when did you fall for me?"

"Wha-what?" Nova looked up at him as a slight blush grew on her face.

"When did you have a crush on me?" Lloyd glanced at her with a slight smirk.

Nova rubbed the back of her neck at his question. "Well, when did you fall for me?"

"I'll give you my answer after you give me yours." Lloyd chuckled.

"Probably after my..... panic attack on Chen's island..... in Kai's room, when you tried to.... comfort me." Nova's face was turning red as she thought back to it.

"Really? Only then did you have a crush on me?" Lloyd raised an eyebrow.

"Hey, I answered your question. Now it's your turn to answer mine." said Nova.

"Fine, I guess it wouldn't be fair if I didn't tell you." Lloyd gave her a soft smile as they got close to a cafe. "I started having a crush on you a bit after we aged up. I couldn't help finding you very beautiful when I laid my eyes on you."

Nova's face was all red, and she couldn't get herself to look at him as a shy smile grew on her face. "R-really? I didn't notice you feeling that way since that day."

Lloyd chuckled at her shyness when they entered the cafe, and he took her to a table next to a window with a nice view. "Yeah, the guys wouldn't stop teasing me about it." A slight frown grew on his face. "But I do wanna know what you meant by the message you had Ronin give Morro. "Stop flirting with me, jackass; I'm not interested in you in any bit. Besides, I already have someone I like, so back off before I turn you into nothing." Was the person you were talking about that you like me?"

Nova looked at him, very surprised, as she grew red. "I'm amazed you even remember that whole message from so long ago, but yes... I was talking about you." She picked up the menu so she could see what she wanted for breakfast.

"Well, I couldn't help but be curious at that time about the infamous thief, Delta, having a crush on someone." Lloyd also went on to take a look at his menu.

"Anyway, with the memories aside, what plans do you have for today?" she asked, looking through the menu before she found what she wanted. Then, she told a waitress about her order.

Lloyd also gave the waitress his order before turning his attention back to Nova. "Why spoil the surprise?"

"Lloyd, I swear if it's another horror-themed thing, I'm gonna kill you." Nova gave him a deadpanned look.

"Will you ever get tired of those empty death threats?" Lloyd moved over to sit beside her and wrapped an arm around her.

"Will you ever stop messing with me?" Nova raised an eyebrow at him.

"Nope, I love seeing your reactions," said Lloyd with a big grin.

"I hate you so much right now," said Nova, punching his chest.

"Aww, but I love you so much, Ocea." Lloyd teased, leaning towards her.

"Somebody end me now." Nova groans as she leans closer to the window.

"I could easily do that for you, but in what way?" Lloyd whispered into her ear, causing her to blush. She quickly pushed his face away.

"Somebody that isn't my boyfriend, please end my suffering." Nova sighs in annoyance.

"Now you're just being dramatic, Ocea." Lloyd shook his head as he placed a kiss on her neck.

"Lloyd, not in public. You've already left enough marks on me. I don't need more that people can see." said Nova, blushing.

Lloyd rolled his eyes but accepted her terms. "Fine, I'll leave your neck alone in public."

"Thank you." Nova let out a relieved sigh as she rubbed her neck.

Soon, the waitress returned with their orders: waffles, pancakes, orange juice, and tea.

"Why did you go for waffles? Pancakes are much better." said Lloyd, taking a bite of his pancakes.

"What are you talking about? Waffles are so much better than plain pancakes," said Nova, eating her waffles.

"Pancakes aren't plain; they are sweet and soft. Just like you." Lloyd said with a grin.

A slight blush appeared on Nova's face, but they went on to take another bite. "W-well, so are waffles, but just a little rougher."

Lloyd rolled his eyes playfully as he sipped his orange juice. "I'm pretty sure we could sit here all day arguing which is better, but I don't want us to do that." He took another bite of his pancakes. "But I have one question about our relationship for the future."

"And what is that question?" Nova raised an eyebrow before drinking some of her tea.

"If we are still together, which I hope so. I want to ask you this. Do you want any kids?" Lloyd scratched the back of his head with a sheepish smile.

Taken by surprise by the question, Nova quickly spit out her tea, her face reddened as she stared at him. "K-kid!? L-Lloyd! You don't just go and ask that so soon! Yet alone on the second date!"

"W-well, I thought the way you handled Wu when he was a baby, along with what the guys told me. You might want kids one day since you know how to handle them." A faint blush grew on Lloyd's face.

Nova took a deep breath as she looked at him. "I don't know how to handle kids, let alone a baby; I just did what I saw my mother do with my baby sister. If anything, I don't like kids that much; it's like looking after an animal but worse."

"Besides, if, say, we did have kids. One of us would have to stay back and watch them while the others are out doing ninja work... And our enemies could easily use them as a hostage or worse." She let out a heavy sigh. "You already know, being a ninja isn't easy. If we mix kids into it, it will get more complicated and stressful for everyone."

"I guess you're right. We were kids once and were always surrounded by danger. While we were able to defend ourselves, that doesn't mean that our kids would." Lloyd sighs as he looks down at his orange juice. "Sorry for bringing up such a stupid question."

Nova gave him a small smile, kissing his cheek. "No need to apologize; it was just a question you had been wondering about, which I can't blame you for asking."

Lloyd returned the smile before going on to finish his pancakes.

With a sigh, Nova drank the rest of her leftover tea and put the last few waffles on her plate.

"I'll go and pay; you just wait at the door." Lloyd kissed her before getting up and walking to the counter to pay.

"Okay, if you say so." Nova got up and went on to wait by the door. "What a weird question for him to ask; I love him, but not to the point of starting a family... the Overlord will return, and I can't have more stress on my plate... I'm not even sure what will happen to me when we get rid of him for good."

"Moonie, you're having bad thoughts again," said Lloyd, standing next to her with a worried look.

Nova rolled her eyes, giving him a small smile. "Just wondering what kind of plans you have today and that you aren't tricking me again."

Lloyd gave her a skeptical look as he narrowed his eyes. "Nova, seriously, what were you thinking about?"

With a heavy sigh, Nova took his hand and headed back outside. "Fine, I wondered if my elemental powers would ever stop being unstable."

"I'm sure they'll get better; Master Wu's tea is already helping you so far." Lloyd smiled softly as he led her down the streets again and to their next destination.

Nova gave a short nod while walking together for a good while until they stopped at an arcade. She looked over at Lloyd with a raised eyebrow.

"Jay suggested this as he and Nya did it on their last date." Lloyd scratched the back of his head. "And I know you like video games, even though we were just inside one last week."

"I don't mind it." Nova smiled and began dragging him inside the arcade. "Come on! Let's find some games we can play together!"

Lloyd laughed at Nova's cheerfulness about this and went on to find some games they could play together.

The first game they went on to play was racing, and Lloyd was much better at it than Nova, as he would always keep winning. Luckily, she didn't lose her temper entirely, just a little.

The second game they played was a shooter game, in which they always ended up in a tie. They even had a crowd watching and cheering for them as they reached the last and most challenging level.

The third game was a fighting game, and Nova would always find a sneaky way to win against Lloyd, to the point that he thought she was cheating each time.

The only other game they could play together in was the rhythm dance game, they glanced at each other and then back at the game.

"I'm not playing that; I can hardly dance; this will only make it worse," said Nova.

"Come on, can't hurt to give it a try," said Lloyd, taking her hand and dragging her along.

"Lloyd, I swear I'm gonna kill you for this." Nova groans as she gets on her platform with four arrows on the floor.

"Just think of it like our ninja training. If we do that, I'm sure it'll go smoothly." Lloyd got on his platform and turned on the game.

"Fames last word." Nova sighed in defeat when she saw the game turn on.

And she was right; both of them failed the game so many times that they just decided to give up on it.

"I told you so, Lloyd." Nova shook her head.

"Okay, so it didn't go as smoothly as I had thought. But at least we gave it a try and had fun." Lloyd wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a kiss.

Nova rolled her eyes as she returned the kiss before pulling away. "So, any other games you wanna play? Or do you have something else in mind?"

"I do have something else in mind." Lloyd took her hand and walked out of the arcade.

"And what's that?" Nova raised an eyebrow, walking with him. "Another surprise you aren't gonna tell me about?"

"Well, it's gonna take us a while to get there unless we use the roofs to jump across." Lloyd looked up at the roofs, wondering if they should do that.

"Hmm." Nova continued to take in their surroundings until she felt something fall on her face. She looked up and saw that it had started raining. "Rain, great, just lovely, " she said sarcastically.

"It's just a little rain; I'm sure it will go away soon enough." Lloyd smiled at her.

The rain did not go away; if anything, it got worse.

"You were saying?" Nova gave him an annoyed look as they ran for cover until they got to an abandoned amusement park.

"I was just trying to lighten the mood a bit!" shouted Lloyd over the rain as they ran into some old tunnel with a worn-down boat that still seemed to be working.

They decided to get in the boat since it was big enough for two and had a roof, so they were safe from the rain.

Nova let out a sigh as she took one of the seats. "Looks like we're gonna have to wait for the rain to stop."

"I guess we don't have much of a choice here." Lloyd went on to take the second seat.

"What even is this place? It looked pretty abandoned." Nova questioned while trying to get some water out of her hair.

"I'm not sure, but since we are here, why not check it out." Lloyd noticed a button and pressed it, starting their boat as they headed deeper into the tunnel.

"So, are you gonna tell me what you had planned before the rain came and ruined it?" Nova asked.

Lloyd rubbed the back of his neck with a small smile. "I was planning on taking you to a concert. I heard the Fold was playing, and since we both liked their music, I thought it would be fun. But with this rain, I don't think they are playing today."

Nova looked at him, surprised, since she didn't even know they were playing today. "Yeah, such a shame with the rain. I'll have loved it." She smiled at him and rested her head on his shoulder.

"I'm sure you would have." Lloyd wrapped an arm around her.

Soon, lights got turned on in the tunnel, and weird music played in the background.

"Ummm, Lloyd, I think I know what kind of ride we are on." Nova's face was slowly turning red.

Lloyd raised an eyebrow until he noticed hearts in the tunnel with all kinds of words. "Uh, I didn't plan this, I swear."

"Of all the places we had to take cover in, a tunnel of love ride was the last thing I had in mind." Nova groans, unable to believe this.

"Well, I don't think it's that bad." Lloyd rubbed the back of his neck before pulling her into his lap. "Might as well enjoy the ride."

"L-Lloyd, you can't be serious." Nova glared at him with a red face.

Lloyd rolled his eyes playfully. "Relax, moonie, we can't do much until the rain stops."

Before Nova could reply, she got pulled into a kiss as Lloyd held her close and moved a hand under her shirt to explore her body.

Nova slowly leaned into the kiss, deciding to enjoy this as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her while deepening the kiss.

As time passed, things started getting a little heated between them, as they removed each other's shirts and fell to the floor of the boat.

Lloyd went on to kiss down her neck to her collarbone and further down to her stomach as Nova's moans were growing louder by the minute, with her lips tracing over his muscles and her hands running over his back.

A small chuckle came from Lloyd as he kissed her collarbone before then moving a hand over her bra and massaging her breast ever so lightly, sending a slight shiver down Nova's back as she let out another moan.

"L-Lloyd *moans* if we g-go any *moans* further l-like this *moans* we are gonna *moans* reach a *moans* point that we can't return from." Nova moaned as she spoke, looking up at him.

Lloyd stopped momentarily and glanced down at her and into her eyes. "Are you thinking we are going too fast? Or do you feel you aren't ready to take that step yet?" He gently ran his fingers through her hair.

"I-it isn't because I don't feel ready; I'm just nervous, and I'm not sure this is the perfect place to do it." Her face was slowly turning red at the thought of it.

Lloyd looked around them and noticed the ride was slowly over. "Hmmm, yeah, it might not be the best place." He looked back down at her with a soft smile. "How about we save the moment for when we are back at our hotel room?" He kissed her before slowly getting up and putting his shirt back on.

"S-sure sounds like a p-plan." Nova put her shirt back on as she got up from the floor.

"Looks like the rain has died down." Lloyd noticed as they came out of the tunnel and looked around.

"Seems like it." Nova joined him before getting off the ride. "So, any other ideas for today while the sun is still up?"

"Hmm, I have an idea." Lloyd took her hand, smiling as he dragged her along with him. They ran out of the abandoned amusement park and back in the rain as they headed into the city.

Nova let out a laugh as they were running down the streets and to somewhere else in the city.

A few minutes later, they arrived at a roller skating place. There was a big skating-ring where other people were skating around.

"Roller skating?" Nova raised an eyebrow at him, a little confused.

"Yeah, I thought back to Chen's island when we were doing roller skating." Lloyd gently elbowed her. "I still remember you hitting my sore back to knock me over."

Nova gave him a nervous smile. "Hey, it was either me or Camille who did it. Either way, I did feel bad about doing it."

"Didn't you also stop her when she was faking to be Kai and asked about my weaknesses?" Lloyd questioned. "I hadn't even mentioned anything about my back. Unless, did you use your future sight?"

Nova rolled her eyes as she went and got herself some roller skates. "Yes, and what about it?"

"So even back then, you were looking out for me." Lloyd laughs softly, also putting on some skates.

"Of course, I was, even though I was scared of you guys finding out it was me behind the mask. I still wanted to help." Nova skated into the ring. "But don't think I forgot about you guys spying on me in the walls."

Lloyd followed right after her into the ring. "We didn't mean to spy on you, but we couldn't help but get curious when we heard singing."

"And you were very eager when you found out it was me." Nova playfully rolled her eyes, skating around in the ring with him.

"I-I was just curious since you were so mysterious back then, and hearing your voice without the voice changer was a surprise." Lloyd's face slowly grew red.

Nova couldn't help but laugh at his face turning red. "Haven't you heard the saying, curiosity killed the cat?" She stuck out her tongue before picking up speed.

Lloyd laughs, shaking his head before skating after her to try to catch up. "And yet I'm still here."

"Yeah, what a shame." Nova taunted him as she quickly dodged some people finding this fun.

"Oh, that's it! Get back here, Nova!" Lloyd picked up the speed and chased her around in the ring, dodging people as they went.

"Then pick up the pace, slowpoke!" Nova laughed, skating at full speed, and did a few tricks to taunt Lloyd more.

They kept chasing each other for a few hours until they got tired. They decided that was enough, as the sun was also slowly going down by the time they got back outside.

"I guess we should get back to the hotel and get dinner in the restaurant there," said Lloyd, heading back to the hotel while holding Nova's hand.

"Yeah, sounds like a plan, I'm starving." Nova giggled softly and kissed his cheek.

"Anything in mind you're hoping to eat?" Lloyd asked, returning the kiss.

"No, not really, but I'll be happy as long I have something to eat." Nova smiled at him.

"Well, it's a good thing you aren't picky; it makes it easier to choose what you want to eat," said Lloyd.

"Which reminds me, who's money did they use to pay for all of this stuff? I mean, the resort, hotel, food, and everything else there have gotta be expensive." Nova wondered with a raised eyebrow.

Lloyd let out a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. "W-who knows? Master Wu might have had some money hidden away somewhere." He said that though he knew it was a bad lie, the less Nova knew, the better. "Kai is so dead when she finds out."

"Hmmm, I guess I'll find out when we return to the monastery," said Nova.

"You aren't planning on stealing from whoever paid for this, are you?" Lloyd questioned.

"Me, steal? Noooo, never." Nova tried acting all innocent.

Lloyd shook his head with an amused smile, knowing she would never get out of that habit.

A few minutes later, they returned to the hotel and went straight to the restaurant for dinner.

They got a table for two and looked at the menu to see what they wanted.

Lloyd went with some sushi, beef, vegetables, and a glass of soda.

Nova also decided to go with beef, tomato soup, and a glass of soda.

"I thought you'd pick something else to drink besides soda." Nova gave him a confused look.

"Eh, I don't wanna end up drunk when we are here, and I know you don't like alcohol." Lloyd gently took her hand in his as they sat across from each other at the table.

"Are you saying you get drunk easily?" Nova raised an eyebrow with an amused smile.

Lloyd laughs at her question. "No, it takes a few drinks before I get all drunk. But I don't want that to ruin our time later." He winked at her.

Nova's face started turning red, knowing what he meant by that. "I-I see, that's very thoughtful of you."

"Well, of course. I am a gentleman, after all." Lloyd smiled, lifting her hand and kissing it.

It wasn't long until their food was brought to them, and they began digging in.

Nova was happy about what she had picked as she enjoyed it, but she stole some of Lloyd's sushi when he wasn't looking.

"Huh? I'm sure I had more sushi than this." Lloyd looked at his plate, confused, before glancing at Nova, who acted like she hadn't done anything.

"Butterfly, did you eat any of my sushi?" Lloyd raised a questionable eyebrow.

"No, why would I when I have my own food? Maybe you just ate it yourself and already forgot; after all, forgetting things is the first sign of getting old." Nova gave him a teasing smile.

Lloyd frowned at her for calling him old. "I'm one year older than you, Nova. I'm still very young, so I shouldn't have memory problems."

"You're only one year older than me because of the tea, silly; otherwise, I would be the one here older than you." Nova poked his nose with a smirk on her face.

"It's a little weird to think that after the tea, it changed our age differently. If anything, it would have made more sense if we were the same age, or you still ended up older than me," Lloyd questioned.

Nova gave a small shrug to it. "That is a mystery, never to be solved."

They went back to eating the rest of their dinner until they were finished, and decided to go back to their room.

"That was a good dinner; I couldn't eat anymore after that." Nova smiled happily when they got back to their room.

"Don't forget the dessert," said Lloyd, walking over and wrapping his arms around her.

"What dessert?" Nova questioned before being pulled into a kiss and picked up bride-style. She did not break the kiss as she was carried to the bedroom and placed on the bed.

"This dessert is silly unless you change your mind. You know I'm not going to force you to do it," said Lloyd, now on top of her, looking into her eyes, waiting for an answer before he did anything else.

Nova looked up at him with a red face, staring into his vivid green eyes, which seemed to calm her down and make her feel safe. She slowly raised a hand and placed it on his chest. "No, I want this. Though I might be nervous, I love you more, and I know I can trust you." A soft smile grew on her face.

Lloyd returned the smile as he placed his hand on top of hers. "Okay, if that is what you want, Ocea." He slowly removed their clothes so they were only in their underwear.

He leaned back down and pulled her into a kiss that slowly deepened with his hands running over her body, and as it got more heated between them, he went on to remove her bra and was now massaging her breasts gently to make her more comfortable to the feeling.

Nova had her hands explore his body as she was moaning out his name while leaving kisses all over his body.

It wasn't long before the last part of their underwear was removed, too. They stared into each other's eyes as they prepared for the next part.

*We are skipping to after the sex scene.*

Nova was breathing heavily while lying in Lloyd's arms with a cover over them.

"W-well, that was *pants* something." Lloyd gently ran his fingers through her hair while holding her close to his bare chest.

"Speak for *pants* yourself; I don't think *pants* I'm gonna be able to *pants* move tomorrow." Nova rested her head on his chest while running her fingers over his muscles.

"Sorry about that *pants* I hope I wasn't too *pants* rough with you." Lloyd let out a weak chuckle.

Nova joined in with a giggle. "No, you weren't that *pants* rough with me, Lloyd. But I'm exhausted from it."

"Same here. Might as well fall asleep and see tomorrow." Lloyd kissed her head as he closed his eyes.

"Sounds like a plan." Nova closed her eyes, and soon enough, they fell asleep in each other's arms.
