Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 – The Heroine Who Chose Erasure

Teaser: What if a character didn't get forgot to but chose to vanish on purpose?

Fog parted like curtains. At the edge of the Otome Graveyard stood a girl—elegant, pale, surrounded by silence. No textbox hovered. No background music played.

It was eerie. Too clean. Too… finished.

"She's not glitching," Rion muttered.

"She's empty," Mira said.

The girl turned, eyes calm, voice weightless.

"I deleted my own story."

---

Her name had been *Aurelia Valentine*. Once, she was the crown jewel of a romance route.

The kind of heroine who made MCs doubt everything.

The one readers cried over when they didn't pick her.

And then one day… she walked off the script.

Deleted her own code.

Erased her route.

"I didn't want to wait for someone to choose me anymore," she said, voice steady.

Yuto was half-hiding behind Mira. "Is she… dangerous?"

"She's what happens when a character wins the genre," Rion replied.

---

They sat by an abandoned cafe backdrop, half-loaded with floating chairs.

Aurelia brewed tea that had no flavor. Her existence made no narrative sense—yet there she was. Untouchable.

"You're stable," Mira said. "You could leave this graveyard."

"I don't want to," Aurelia said. "This is the only place where no one writes me."

"That's not freedom," Mira snapped. "That's surrender."

Aurelia smiled gently. "And you? Still trying to be real in a fake world?"

---

Suddenly, alarms blared in the sky.

Lines of code rained down like shooting stars.

> "UNSTABLE ENTITY DETECTED."

> "ERROR: SELF-ERASED CHARACTER BREACHED PLOT BOUNDARY."

Aurelia sighed. "They found me."

Rion grabbed his scanner. "They're locking her in! They want to restore her route—force her back into the system!"

Yuto: "Restore? Like, as a love interest?"

Rion: "No—worse. As a DLC."

Mira stood. "Hell no."

She ran forward, grabbed Aurelia's hand, and slammed a patch tag into the empty space on her name.

(Silence.)

---

Suddenly: boom.

The patch exploded backward—rejecting her.

"She's too stable," Mira gasped.

"I don't want to be written again," Aurelia said, stepping back. "You can't save me."

Mira: "I'm not trying to save you. I'm trying to give you a pen."

Rion opened a secure portal. The glitchpath shimmered.

Aurelia stared at it. "If I leave… I won't exist in any story."

"You'll exist in your own," Mira said. "No arcs. No author. Just choice."

---

Aurelia stepped through.

The moment she vanished, the air cleared.

All the leftover love routes disintegrated like ash.

And in the distance, somewhere far from genre…

a blank white page started to form.

"She did it," Rion said quietly.

"No," Mira whispered.

"She *chose* it."

---

(Next: The group enters the Battle Shounen Dump—where rival characters who never won are stuck reliving defeat forever.)

(And one of them… remembers Mira.)
