Chapter 7 - Telling Allison the truth

Big change, people who Scott bites become betas, not alpha's but are still perfect werewolves. Sorry for the bad chapter 6, I was not doing well, but I feel much better, and I changed the ending part.

After Allison and I went back to School for the parent-teacher conference, unlike what Scott did in the show, I did not skip School even though my grades are amazing due to the 30x learning speed wish. Allison and I arrive. I head in with my mom, "Scott, am I going to hear good things?" Mellisa asked. "You'll be surprised for sure," I responded. "Is that supposed to be good or bad?" We found the classroom.

As we settled into the classroom, I could feel a mix of anticipation and excitement. Mr. Harris, our English teacher, had a reputation for being straightforward, so I held my breath as he began discussing our class performance.

"Scott has excelled this semester," Mrs. Harris stated, her expression warm. "He's shown exceptional growth in his writing and has consistently contributed thoughtful insights during discussions. I'm impressed by his creativity and ability to think critically about the material. He is one of the top students."

Mellisa's eyes widened slightly, a proud smile spreading across her face. "Really? That's wonderful to hear!" she exclaimed, glancing between me and Mrs. Harris. "I've always known he had it in him, but hearing it from you means so much!"

Mrs. Harris nodded, then continued, "Not only is Scott a standout student, but he also shows great leadership qualities. He often helps his classmates and encourages them to improve, which is fantastic to see."

Mellisa beamed, and I could feel my cheeks heat up from the praise. "Thank you so much, Mrs. Harris," I said, trying to maintain my composure.

Mellisa leaned over, her voice low but filled with excitement. "You are making us so proud, Scott. All your hard work is paying off!"

Feeling a mix of pride and relief washed over me, I couldn't help but smile back at my mom, grateful for her unwavering support.

As Mellisa and I stepped outside, we spotted Allison with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Argents. The atmosphere felt a bit tense, and I could sense the differences in their parenting styles right away.

"Hey, Scott! How did it go?" Allison asked, her smile brightening the mood.

"It went great! Mrs. Harris had some nice things to say," I replied, trying to keep my tone upbeat.

Just then, Mellisa joined the conversation with a warm smile, "Hello, Argents! I hope you had a good meeting as well."

Mr. Argent, usually serious, nodded slowly. "Yes, we discussed some of Allison's progress. She's doing well, I suppose."

Mrs. Argent chimed in, her voice a bit sharper, "But she can do even better. We expect a lot from our daughter. She needs to be prepared for the future…"

Mellisa seemed taken aback for a moment, then responded, "Of course, we all want the best for our kids. But it's important to encourage them, too. They need to feel supported, especially in such a competitive environment."

Mr. Argent raised an eyebrow, slightly defensive. "Support is one thing, but pushing them to excel is what matters."

Allison glanced between her parents and Mellisa, looking a bit uncomfortable. "Mom, Dad, I feel like I'm doing my best. I appreciate your support, but—"

Mellisa gently placed her hand on Allison's shoulder. "You know, every child has their own pace. Sometimes, celebrating small victories can lead to bigger successes. It's all about balance."

Mrs. Argent crossed her arms, clearly not convinced. "Balance is all well and good, but you can't overlook hard work."

I hesitated, sensing the tension. "Maybe we can find a way for both approaches to work together? After all, we all want what's best for our kids."

There was a moment of silence as the weight of my suggestion hung in the air. Then, Mrs. Argent softened slightly. "Well, perhaps we can discuss how to encourage academic excellence without overwhelming them."

"Exactly!" Mellisa agreed, smiling at the small shift. "I think that's a good approach."

"Let's focus on what matters right now—supporting our kids," Mr. Argent finally relented, albeit grudgingly.

With the atmosphere starting to lighten, Allison and I exchanged a glance that said we both hoped this conversation would help ease the tension.

Panic erupted as people started shouting and running in different directions. The mountain lion, sleek and powerful, had emerged from the trees, a predatory glint in its eyes as it chased after a group of frightened families making their way to their parked cars.

Among the chaos, Allison and I stumbled backward, her heart racing as she realized how close the danger was. "We need to get to the car!" Allison shouted, pulling me in the direction of her dad's vehicle.

Cris, ever the protector, was already moving toward his car, scanning the area as he rushed. "Everyone, get to your cars!" he yelled, his voice booming above the commotion. Just as we reached the car, he hurriedly unlocked the doors and opened the trunk, grabbing his handgun from the emergency kit he always kept inside.

"Cris, be careful!" Allison called out, her voice tinged with fear as she watched her dad prepare to confront the approaching lion.

The mountain lion was now approaching quickly, its muscles coiling as it focused on its next target. With adrenaline coursing through his veins, Cris took a steady aim. He didn't want to hurt the animal, but there was no time to think about anything else.

"Get inside!" Cris commanded, his eyes shifting cautiously between us and the lion. As Allison and I jumped into the backseat, he fired a warning shot into the air. The loud crack of the gun echoed, causing the lion to halt momentarily, confused by the noise.

"Back off!" Cris shouted, raising the weapon again as the lion hesitated, assessing the situation. But the message was clear, and with another loud bang, he fired a shot aimed toward the lion, killing it.

Cris didn't lower his gun, watching carefully as the mountain lion lay lifeless. "Everyone alright?" he asked, glancing back at us.

"Yeah, I think so," I replied, my heart still racing.

Allison, still shaken, nodded. "That was terrifying."

"Let's just stay in the car until it's safe," Cris said, keeping a watchful eye on the forest edge. After a few tense moments, silence replaced the chaos.

"Can you believe that?" Allison murmured, her voice trembling. "I never thought I'd see a mountain lion... let alone be that close to one!"

Cris lowered the gun, breathing heavily. "Just to be safe, I think we should wait a bit longer before heading out. Better to be cautious."

We all nodded, grateful for Cris's quick thinking and instinct to protect. The adrenaline slowly faded, leaving us shaken yet relieved that we had made it through the frightening encounter.

I was mad at myself as I should have transformed, even if it meant exposing what I am, as the body got checked out, and it was confirmed the dead mounting lion was alone. I went home.

The next me and my mom invited Allison home Stiles came to as she came home we broke the news to her about the supernatural and are plan to add her to the pack "wait I cant belive this real but yes I would want the bite but can we do it in 3 days" Allison said "when every your ready" my mom responded.
