Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Conversations Without Memory

"About yesterday…"

Mira's voice came from behind him.

Rion turned. She was holding a red pen and an empty expression.

"You were going to tell me more about that page thing," she said.

He stared. "We didn't talk yesterday."

She blinked. "What?"

"We haven't spoken since last week."

Mira's mouth opened, then closed. Her eyes narrowed—not angry, just... confused. Like she was flipping through a book and the chapter she wanted was missing.

"Oh," she said softly. "Right. My mistake."

She walked away.

But halfway across the courtyard, she paused. Tilted her head. Then, without turning around, said:

"You told me not to forget, Rion."

He didn't answer.

Because he hadn't told her anything.

That night, he dug through his old notes. Somewhere in the back of his binder, on a page he didn't remember writing, he found a list:

- Mira

- Cafeteria

- October

- She forgets. I don't.

He stared at it for a long time.

Then wrote underneath:

Or maybe… I forget, too.
