The wedding was followed by a lavish party where everyone danced and rejoice there was enough food and drinks to go around, as the guests took their turns to greet the newly weded couples, aurora noticed the lady who was glaring at her this whole time walking towards them, unknown to her that this lady was princess Elara, prince Alistair's ex girlfriend, a princess of one of the neighboring kingdoms, they were about to get married but it didn't work out, Elara never gave up on her love for prince Alistair not even till this day.
"Princess Aurora", princess Elara called out, one could almost hear the sarcasm in the tone when she said the word "princess", "i am princess Elara of Eldon, it is such a pleasure to get to see you, you are more beautiful in person than what heard", "thank you, your very kind princess Elara", aurora replied, Elara shifted her gaze to Alistair and congratulated him, something about the way princess Elara spoke and looked at Alistair, made aurora uneasy, but she decided to dismiss the thought and went to speak to her family. as the party came to an end, the couples left to their chambers.
As they entered into their chambers the couples decided to shower, after showering they laid on the bed,both excusted from their long day, they decided to sleep, hugging each other tightly they drifted to wonderland.
As the sunlight peaked through the window and kissed her skin, aurora's eyes flickered as she tried to keep them open, turning around to find the space beside her empty left a disappointed look on her face, "he left already", she murmured to her self, just then she heard a knock on the door, " are you awake your highness", a maid said from outside the door, "yes come in please", aurora answered, the door was opened and a maid entered along side aurora's ladies in waiting, and they all curtsied, my name is hazel your highness her majesty the queen has sent me to assist you, i shall be your aid today henceforth, if you would please take your bath now so you can get ready for court your highness, aurora nodded and stood up and walked into the bathroom.
As she was getting dressed Aurora noticed that her ladies in waiting were somewhat different today, their attitude,was different, they were not looking at her with distain or scorning her, they wouldn't even look her in the face, they all kept their gazes down.
When they were done, aurora studied herself in the mirror, she was dressed in a beautiful blue gown adorned with ornaments,and her hair was weaved beautifully, her tiara was placed on her head and she was ready for court,she walked out of the room with her ladies-in-waiting walking behind her
Aurora's heart raced as she stood just outside the grand hall, waiting for the royal herald to announce her entrance. Her first appearance in court as the princess of Auridon had finally arrived, and she knew all eyes would be on her. She smoothed the intricate silk of her gown and took a steadying breath.
The royal doors opened, and a voice rang through the hall.
