Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Many Thanks to Elder Xue for Making It Possible

Lu Chengfeng was dressed in black brocade, with an iron crown on his head and soft boots on his feet. His face resembled polished jade, and he held a long sword in its sheath, looking like a noble young master, refined and elegant.

However, on Bixiao Peak, he was famous for his fierce and iron-blooded nature. Three years ago, at the age of seventeen, he descended the mountain and single-handedly, with only a sword, slaughtered all one hundred twenty-eight members of Black Wind Stronghold, leaving no survivor.

His ruthless methods and swordsmanship quickly earned him a reputation among the many outer peaks. He was more approachable than Zhao Changzhen for Bixiao Peak disciples, never withholding swordsmanship teachings even from visiting disciples seeking guidance.

Thus, despite his youth, his prestige throughout Bixiao Peak was considerable, and his words and actions went unchallenged.

Seeing Lu Chengfeng arrive, the disciples of Bixiao Peak couldn't help but show joy on their faces, calling out, "Senior Brother."

"Senior Brother, you're finally here!"

"Senior Brother, Senior Brother Luo was injured by them."

Seven or eight visiting disciples surrounded Lu Chengfeng, their accusations filled with anger, but mingled with fear, not daring to look Xue Dulong in the eye, not even mentioning his name.

Lu Chengfeng gestured for them to step back and ignored the tiger-eyed Xue Dulong opposite him, quickly advancing to check on the fallen visiting disciple, Luo Yong.

This man was already over forty, an elder on Bixiao Peak, with no wife or child. He had stayed on the mountain his entire life, already regarding Bixiao Peak as his home.

When Lu Chengfeng first entered the sect, Luo Yong had cared for him several times, being kind-hearted. The Cold Cicada Sword in his hand was refined thanks to the Cold Iron gifted by Luo Yong.

Earlier, two disciples were knocked down, but the other disciple was not seriously injured, suffering only a kick to the chest, feeling mild pain.

But Luo Yong was badly beaten by his opponent, spitting blood and unable to move temporarily. The surrounding disciples were panicked and dared not act rashly, fearing worsening his injuries.

Lu Chengfeng knelt down, examining his pupils closely, finding them dilated, then checking his pulse, his face immediately grew somber.

"Luo Yong has internal injuries, damaged organs; he must immediately take Guiyuan Qi Nourishing Powder to stabilize his condition temporarily. He will need Inner Martial Arts experts to fully recover later."

"Zhang Feng, Zhao Hua, you two carefully carry Luo Yong up the mountain, to my yard to find your Second Senior Sister Su Wanqing and get a dose of Guiyuan Qi Nourishing Powder, the cost of which I will bear."

Lu Chengfeng's arrival gave these visiting disciples a backbone. Two young disciples promptly agreed and carefully lifted Luo Yong from the ground, heading up the mountain.

They had martial arts skills; even though the path was mountainous, they walked steadily without causing Luo Yong any bumps.

Opposite them, Xue Dulong had grown impatient from waiting. Seeing this, his eyes widened like copper bells, and he shouted, his voice thunderous.

"Lu Chengfeng, you pretty boy, stop acting hypocritical in front of me, all these actions are useless. Today, I will crush your head."

Lu Chengfeng stood upright, placing his hand on the sword hilt, "Xue Dulong, do you really think the Yuncang Sword Sect belongs to the Xue family now? Forcing your way onto my Bixiao Peak, injuring sect disciples, if you don't give an explanation today, I will make you pay the price."

"Hahaha, just you, pretty boy? Do you even qualify?" Xue Dulong couldn't help but laugh loudly, "Do you really think killing some Black Wind Stronghold minions makes you a master?"

"To be honest, I've passed the sect elders' assessment, those two dared to speak disrespectfully to this elder, not killing them already shows my mercy."

"As for you… huh, want to make me pay a price? Just try and let's see." Xue Dulong's face showed a sneer, "I'll twist your head off and use it as a chamber pot to vent my hatred."

Lu Chengfeng's face remained calm. Xue Dulong was never one to chatter unnecessarily; if he could fight, he wouldn't waste words. The reason for his words now was ultimately fear of the sect rules.

Even as an elder, he couldn't casually kill sect disciples in broad daylight; otherwise, the Yuncang Sword Sect would have long torn itself apart from infighting.

Especially since Lu Chengfeng was somewhat famous within the outer peaks, a young genius swordsman. If Xue Dulong were to rashly kill him, even an elder would be severely punished by the sect.

Lu Chengfeng saw through his opponent's scheme clearly; despite Xue Dulong's rough appearance, he was actually meticulous and vicious, trying to force Lu Chengfeng into acting first.

This way, he could claim Lu Chengfeng offended the elder first and even turned his sword against an elder; even if he accidentally killed Lu Chengfeng, he wouldn't face severe punishment.

Lu Chengfeng squinted slightly, his initially grim face suddenly showing a hint of a smile, "Elder Xue exaggerates, since you've passed the sect elders' assessment, how could I as a disciple dare attack?"

"Just yesterday, this disciple married Senior Sister Luo Suyi, with an extravagant wedding night, it's the height of joy in life."

"Unexpectedly, Elder Xue came specially to congratulate; I'm deeply grateful."

"Also, I should thank Elder Xue, if not for your infamous brutal reputation, Suyi might not have so readily married me."

"Such an enchanting beauty, unparalleled allure, its pleasure not easily conveyed to others, I must thank Elder Xue for facilitating."

Xue Dulong, upon hearing this, couldn't hold back the jealousy and anger in his heart any longer, roaring, "Lu Chengfeng, you're seeking your own death. Luo Suyi just lost a husband; I'll make her widow again today."

Having set his eyes on the beauty for a long time, it seemed she was within reach, yet Lu Chengfeng appeared halfway, quickly taking Luo Suyi as his own.

Thinking of Luo Suyi's enchanting figure and charming face, Xue Dulong couldn't help but ignite a raging fire of jealousy and murderous intent.

At this point, disregarding sect rules, given he had his master's protection and was an elder, even breaking rules he could afford some cost.

Such murderous intent surged, his aura became intense, like a fierce beast rushing from the mountains, his right arm suddenly striking out, seemingly a fist technique, but actually using the Thirty-Six Paths of the Black Wind Demon-Breaking Spear technique.

For a moment, a whirlwind of fists swept through, surrounding disciples feeling darkness descend, as though hearing the angry roar of a black bear, followed by an iron fist pressing down, like a Poisonous Flood Dragon aiming to crush Lu Chengfeng's head.

This method of using fists as spears, fierce and unrivaled, clearly aimed to kill, to put Lu Chengfeng to death.

Lu Chengfeng stood with his hand ready on the sword, his black brocade fluttering wildly in the whirlwind, eyes squinted to slits, from afar seeming scared, eyes shut tight.

However, just then, a figure descended from the sky, appearing suddenly between Lu Chengfeng and Xue Dulong, merely raising a palm to lock down that wild and fierce iron fist firmly, never moving a fraction.

"Xue Dulong, you have a lot of nerve, attacking sect disciples in broad daylight."

"Do you think the Law Enforcement Hall is full of dead men?"

The newcomer appeared to be in his twenties, dressed in black attire and a blood-red sash of the Law Enforcement Hall, merely raising a palm to hold Xue Dulong's fist immovable, face flushed crimson.
