If Gu Yuan can ascend to the Primordial Spirit True Immortal Realm, that would be ideal. From then on, Gu Yuan would have proved his Dao in the Primordial Spirit and achieved eternal life.
Even if he can't, relying on such an abundance of Innate Primordial Qi will undoubtedly help Gu Yuan advance to the Yang Spirit Great Perfection Realm.
At that time, his power would surge drastically, and he might even surpass old-time Primordial Spirit True Immortals like the White-Browed Monarch, allowing him to freely pursue his ambitions.
For instance...
He could retrieve the remaining Pure Yang and Pure Yin Jade Gourds, collect all seven Profound Gourds, and then find the sect's Spirit Treasure, the Myriad Sword Gourd, further boosting his power considerably.
By then, wouldn't the vast world be for him to roam proudly?
As for the Southern Border Cultivation Realm and his other sect, Medicine King Mountain...
There's no rush to return until he secures the Myriad Sword Gourd.
