Chapter 10: Problem and Seal
As Sayru was heading toward the city gate, he felt a familiar yet disturbing sensation.
It was a cold feeling directed toward a special body.
Special bodies react to each other only if the body is activated — meaning its owner is using the proper technique for that body and benefiting from it to the fullest extent.
But the sensation directed at Sayru was slightly unsettling, and the reason was known only to Sayru himself.
"Under that tattered blanket lies someone with a special body, but the owner of this body could become troublesome in the future if they manage to activate it."
Mimin interrupted him with a scream in his mind:
'I thought something happened, but you got distracted by another girl, you pervert!
I'm about to breakthrough. If you want to destroy the city with a celestial phenomenon, then sit and play with your little girl!!'
Sayru replied to Mimin:
'Wait, wait. I just think killing her now would be better.
Alright, hold on a bit, I'm going…'
Sayru left the place heading toward an empty land far from the city — a good place to breakthrough.
Upon arrival, Sayru began his preparations.
Mimin emerged from Sayru's mental sea, heading toward a matrix Sayru prepared in moments.
Then Sayru began drawing runes using mana in the air and releasing them around the matrix to support it.
Twenty first-level runes, five third-level runes, and one fourth-level rune.
After several minutes, Sayru finished a larger matrix containing many runes and two spots — one for Mimin and the other for himself, although his spot was slightly smaller since he would only support the matrix.
"Good. Sayru, I will begin now. Try to benefit as much as you can."
Mimin floated to her place in the matrix and began her breakthrough.
Sayru started supporting the matrix as it slowly began to glow, preventing any foreign mana in the air and absorbing energy from the sky and earth for Mimin's benefit.
Minutes passed, and the breakthrough effects began to show on Mimin: her appearance partially changed, her hair became slightly shorter, but strangely, she lost an organ of her body!
Not that she lost them completely, but they became invisible — as if she truly became a ghost.
Sayru, watching from the side, showed a mocking face.
"Show that face again, and I'll make you live your third life!"
Amid all this, the atmosphere changed as clouds gathered in the sky and approached the ground.
It looked as if the center of the world was at the gathering spot.
The clouds thickened and darkened, then a great lightning strike appeared shaped like a reckoning — that was the celestial phenomenon.
Sweat dripped as Mimin looked at the phenomenon and said,
"It has begun, Sayru, I'm counting on you!"
That lightning struck Mimin, producing a tremendous sound that echoed for thousands of miles. Everyone in the City of Cloud and its surroundings witnessed it.
The matrix partially absorbed the lightning, while the remainder transformed into pure spiritual energy absorbed by Mimin.
This breakthrough method had never been seen before — or so Mimin thought.
After several breaths, the shape of the clouds changed, and a hole appeared in the middle.
From that hole descended a waterfall aimed at Mimin with crushing pressure.
The mana concentration in the waterfall was so high the matrix reached its limit.
Sayru diverted most of the pressure toward himself, absorbing that pure mana using the
This cycle of lightning to waterfall repeated several times. Then, after several hours…
"Mimin, the phenomenon is about to end. Prepare yourself for the Great Reckoning."
Mimin nodded in approval, indicating she was ready.
Despite the overwhelming atmosphere created by the phenomenon, it did not reach the terror of the Great Reckoning — the surrounding air changed completely; the end of the world would be more merciful.
The Great Reckoning is a celestial phenomenon indicating that a sorcerer or Martial Artist has surpassed their limits and reached their goal — meaning they have broken through.
At this point, the Martial Artist challenges Heaven itself and is close to defeating its tyranny.
The Great Reckoning appears as a final card to kill the Martial Artist and prevent them from reaching their goal.
During this, darkness covered the world, and an overwhelming pressure surrounded every living thing within a 100,000-mile radius, centered on Mimin.
Of course, since Mimin caused this Reckoning, most of the pressure concentrated on her and Sayru.
It was not a light pressure — for the first time in his life, Sayru experienced the pressure of breaking through to the Divine levels.
"What is this pressure? My spirit is about to tear apart, and my body is no longer under my control. Could it be trying to breakthrough directly to the Divine level?!"
Sayru could no longer maintain his composure, so he activated the last part of the matrix with the blood flowing from his external wounds.
Once the matrix was fully activated, a massive sword appeared in the sky, attacking in an attempt to defend Mimin and Sayru.
This gave Sayru enough time to regain control of his body.
"You fool! Didn't you tell me you would breakthrough only to the Golden Crimson level?"
Sayru shouted at Mimin with all his might amid the tremendous noise.
Sayru tried to calm down and search for a solution, then thought, 'Only this remains!'
He reinforced the matrix with runes drawn using his blood, then took out a small pill from his ring.
"This is the pill Lord Tower gave me. I never thought I'd rely on a trash pill at a time like this, but there is no time left and no other option."
Sayru swallowed the pill and directed the dense mana inside it.
'First Seal — Break!'
Sayru's Divine Body is incomplete — or rather, it is sealed.
Sealed with four seals, three of which are much stronger.
Of course, the simple seals will disappear automatically when his Divine Body becomes complete, but the others are a different matter.
The pill Sayru took is called the 'Raging Lightning Pill.'
This pill contains dense mana with the attribute of lightning.
When swallowed, the Martial Artist has a chance to have their external mana acquire a faint lightning attribute.
Sayru took advantage of this to break the first seal — the Lightning Seal.
Of course, this was not simple — the mana in the pill alone was insufficient.
Sayru consumed almost half of his mana to break the first seal.
At the same time, Sayru, who was violet, turned blue, and some parts of him became white.
His eyes, which were golden, turned red, and subtle changes appeared on his body, especially his muscles, which became thinner.
The most notable change was the tattoo on his body — the snake-shaped tattoo morphed into a dragon, though Sayru didn't notice.
"What have I done in my life to deserve all this pain? Damn, it still hurts constantly."
Sayru complained of the pain caused by breaking the seal — a pain that would persist as long as the seal remained broken.
In fact, the pain resembled breaking and resetting bones, something Sayru had experienced before.
Meanwhile, Mimin was still struggling against the pressure.
She wanted to surrender, but surrendering under this pressure meant only death and nothing else.
