Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: An Encounter with the Riddler

This sudden change was indeed beyond Chu Qing's expectations.

Even though he was always brave, he couldn't help but feel a chill in his heart, but then he realized this guy wasn't dead!

You couldn't blame Chu Qing for not noticing. This person's legs had been severed, his upper clothes were full of blood, the blood had dried up, and who knows how much time had passed since he was injured.

His breath was weak, to the extreme.

Anyone seeing such a person wouldn't think he would still have a breath left.

When he saw Chu Qing, he reached out, trying to grab Chu Qing's ankle.

Chu Qing couldn't let him catch him, he shifted, easily avoiding it, but the man didn't care.

He just spoke a few words with extreme difficulty:

"Tell... Qing Ye... Jian... Bing... Tian... Tian... Tian..."

After saying these words, his body fell, no longer able to support himself, and he died.

"...Tell Qing Ye Jian Bing? What is that?"

Chu Qing was a bit confused:

"Hey, make it clear, what Qing Ye Jian Bing? Tell whom? How to tell? What does all the Tian Tian Tian mean? The Riddler needs to get out of Gotham City!"

These words were really without head or tail. From any perspective, Qing Ye Jian Bing shouldn't be a person.

Or... is Qing Ye Jian someone's nickname?

Telling Qing Ye Jian, Bing... what does that mean?

Did I hear it wrong?

Bing or Bing? Or some other word?

Or is there a Cyan Leaf Sword, and is there something mysterious in the sword handle?

But what does this have to do with "Tian"?

Chu Qing thought of many possibilities in an instant, then felt a bit speechless...

Someone he didn't even know was about to die, and here he was analyzing his words.

"Judging from his outfit, he's certainly a Celestial Dance Guard beyond doubt.

"Could this matter be related to the City Lord's Mansion?"

Chu Qing examined the body, moments later showing shock.

His legs were severed, there were blood stains on the ground, and the weeds in the forest were pressed down.

Looking at his hands again, they were severely damaged, with grass bits and soil under his nails.

This seems to indicate that after being severed of his legs, this person crawled all the way here with difficulty?

"He struggled to this extent just to deliver a message?

"This matter must be of great importance."

Chu Qing thought for a moment, then shook his head:

"But, this is so headless and tailless, it's too inexplicable."

He shook his head, not touching the body.

This place was within the Celestial Dance City, and if the matter was related to the City Lord's Mansion, they would surely come to look for it.

Handling the body on his own wouldn't help, regardless of whether the City Lord's Mansion finds it or not.

With this in mind, he disposed of his footprints around and continued on his way.

Along the way, he observed closely, but did not see anything unusual happening.

Thus, by noon the next day, Chu Qing stole a few clothes from a farming family outside the city, disguised himself as a country boy entering the city, and smoothly slipped into the Celestial Dance City.

...

...

The streets of Celestial Dance City were bustling with people, with carriages passing by from time to time and vendors selling things along the street with their cries resounding continuously.

For Chu Qing, this was his first time stepping into Celestial Dance City, yet memories involuntarily surfaced.

This was South Street, and Celestial Dance City has four streets, with the whole city laid out in the shape of the character '田'.

The middlemost place was the City Lord's Mansion, and the Chu Family was on North Street.

However, although everything looked familiar, some places had changed.

The sugar figurines he loved to eat were still there, but the person blowing them was different.

The narrow alley where he had played with his friends was still there, but now a different group of kids were frolicking there.

The bun seller uncle had a few more strands of white hair.

The mischievous children who used to cause a ruckus at the stalls were now standing with a cloth over their shoulder, energetically shouting on the street.

As Chu Qing walked along the street, he inadvertently glanced up and saw a mansion.

This was a grand household, with a plaque on the door, bearing two gold-foiled characters: Chu Mansion.

"Unwittingly, how did I end up here?"

Chu Qing softly exhaled. He didn't want to enter just yet.

The purpose of this trip was simple, just to remind Chu Yunfei to be careful of the Mirror of Sin.

There was no need to meet him to accomplish these things.

As long as he could find a way to infiltrate the Chu Family to leave something... Of course, the opportunity to sneak into the Chu Family was hard to find, but Chu Qing believed he had his methods.

He turned to leave, but suddenly heard a familiar word from not far away, and couldn't help but look toward the source of the sound, which was a tea house.

The tea house was called 'Red Leaf Tea House,' right across from the Chu Family, but it seemed to have opened in recent years.

The opposite of the Chu Family used to have no tea houses but an escort agency.

That escort agency was renowned back in the day, the number one in Celestial Dance City.

Later, after the Chief of the Escort died tragically on the road, the Young Chief who inherited it was inexperienced, with mediocre martial arts skills and lingering in the flower bushes.

Now it seems he squandered the family fortune and even sold the escort agency.

Seeing that there was a restaurant next to the tea house and a pawnshop on the other side, it was clear they were converted.

With a slight pause, he stepped into the tea house, and before even sitting down, he heard someone loudly ask:

"Who exactly is this Night Emperor?"

"Exactly, the Iron Horse Seven Thieves weren't weak, and yet the Night Emperor cut down three of them with a single sword. Is this true or false?"

The familiar word Chu Qing heard was 'Night Emperor.' He hadn't expected the news to have spread to Celestial Dance City so quickly.

He casually found a seat and saw a man loudly proclaim:

"This is absolutely true, as confirmed by Chu Fan, the second young master of the Chu Family. Could it be false?"

Chu Qing was speechless, wondering why the news traveled so fast.

It turned out that Chu Fan was the one broadcasting it.

He, along with that Junior Sister Wen, had fast horses and arrived in Celestial Dance City before him, which was understandable.

As the waiter brought the tea, the people around were chattering about many things.

Chu Qing realized that they didn't know much, with most of it being speculation about the Night Emperor.

They said all kinds of things…

Some said the Night Emperor was an old predecessor who had retired from the martial world, living incognito, and took action in anger because of the Iron Horse Seven Thieves' indiscriminate killing of innocents.

Others said he was just someone seeking publicity, daring to call himself 'Emperor', and if the Great Qian Dynasty heard of it, they would certainly execute his entire family.

Some people suggested that this person might be a fledgling ranger in the martial world, looking to make a name for himself with this incident.

It was quite lively for a time.

Chu Qing wasn't interested in these details and was thinking of drinking some tea and leaving, but then he suddenly saw a wandering doctor passing by outside with a sign.

With just one glance, Chu Qing's pupils shrank suddenly.

He recognized this person.

But this person shouldn't be here.

Because, in his memory, this person had died a month ago.
