According to Cai Liu, the 'Great Saint' of the Northern Demon Court back then was a True Dragon.
However, eight hundred years ago, when the Great Zhou's Divine Martial Emperor conquered the world, he suppressed this Great Saint with the Jade Seal and extracted one of its dragon tendons. Since then, the Great Saint had vanished without a trace.
Some said it was dead, while others claimed the 'Great Saint' had its Primordial Energy severely depleted and was merely hiding in Yan Mountain, lingering on its last breath. As for the truth, no one knew.
Nevertheless, Yunzhou indeed had quite a few Dragon Species Demon Fiends. The giant snake on Black Mountain originated from the south, but it was rumored to possess Flood Dragon blood.
