Lin Yi's Divine Power Level wasn't high; he relied on the combat power provided by the two super powerful Martial Souls within him and his own numerous, versatile skills to complete challenges beyond his level.
But these powers were clearly not as reliable as his own strength.
Significantly boosting the Divine Power Level and combat power in a short time wasn't realistic.
Since external forces weren't reliable enough, the best choice for Lin Yi was to secure as many external forces as possible and use them cyclically, ensuring his safety at all times.
"Lord Immortal King, I understand your meaning. That kid knows he battled with me; his existence and potential threat have already been exposed. What's more, he snatched the Fu Xi Talisman, that External Divine Artifact, from our hands. That kid surely knows that the conflict between us can't be easily resolved. He will definitely find ways to improve his strength."
