Soon, Zeng Anmin entered the examination venue.
Two squads of junior officers from the Imperial City Department were conducting inspections ahead. The one leading them was Bai Ziqing's subordinate, Huang Shi of the Imperial City Department. If memory served, his rank was a senior officer, one level higher than the junior officers.
"What a coincidence," Zeng Anmin thought. He had only met this Huang Shi a few times, but he already had a stereotypical impression of him. The man didn't talk much, but whenever he did, it was always something like, "The Imperial City Department is handling a case! Clear the streets!" or "Unauthorized personnel, evacuate immediately!" Regardless, he had a booming voice.
"Ahem." Zeng Anmin handed over his backpack.
Huang Shi simply nodded at him without saying another word. Zeng Anmin remained silent as well; after all, this was an examination venue.
