"Wuu wuu wuu, so delicious! This is seriously too good!"
At Senju Tobirama's residence, Jiraiya took a bite of Renya's cooking, and tears of bliss welled up at the corners of his eyes.
He could swear this was the most delicious thing he had ever eaten in his life.
Exquisite! Absolutely exquisite!
Just one bite, and he was completely hooked.
Renya-sama was truly incredible — not only was he absurdly strong, but he also cooked unbelievably good food!
As expected of his idol!
If only he could eat like this every day.
So envious of Tsunade… having an uncle like this…
Orochimaru's expression wasn't as exaggerated as Jiraiya's, but his chopsticks never once stopped moving.
Renya-sama's cooking skills were beyond anything he had imagined!
This flavor was irresistible — once you started, you couldn't stop.
If possible, Orochimaru wanted to become Renya-sama's disciple.
He just wasn't sure if Renya-sama would accept him…
But he knew now wasn't the right time to make that request. At the very least, he would wait until he graduated from the Ninja Academy.
Orochimaru understood clearly: only if he became exceptional enough would he stand a chance at becoming Renya-sama's disciple.
Right now, he wasn't qualified!
So, he planned to dedicate the next few years to studying and training, becoming the number one in the Academy.
Only then would he have the right to make this request.
...
Tsunade said nothing, burying her face in her food.
She'd already praised Renya's cooking countless times before.
Right now, the most important thing was to eat — otherwise, Jiraiya and Orochimaru would snatch up everything!
It wasn't every day they got to eat such a feast, so she definitely wasn't letting those two take advantage.
Renya watched the three little ones devour their food like starving wolves and shook his head with a soft smile, as though he could already picture himself cooking for them in the future…
"Eat slowly. There's more in the kitchen if this isn't enough."
"Mm-hmm! Thank you, Renya-sama!" Jiraiya mumbled gratefully between bites.
Seeing the dishes on the table nearly gone, Renya stood and went to the kitchen to bring out more.
Originally, he'd planned to save that portion for Senju Tobirama, but seeing the three weren't getting enough, he decided to bring it out.
It wasn't like he was going to let them go hungry.
As for Tobirama's dinner, he'd just cook him a simple bowl of noodles later.
That old man was easy to feed anyway — never picky at all.
These three, on the other hand, were his future disciples. There was no way he'd let them starve.
At the very least, food would never be lacking.
Just as long as Orochimaru didn't end up… trying that whole "kill-the-master" thing later on.
Maybe it was some kind of ninja world tradition.
But not here. Not under Renya!
Training disciples had to start early — and proper guidance was key. Otherwise, they could stray down the wrong path.
A true sensei had to care for a student's health and well-being, not just their strength and jutsu.
Otherwise, if the disciple suffered some tragedy, they'd awaken the infamous "kill-the-master" instinct.
And strangely enough, in the ninja world, disciple-kills-master incidents had an alarmingly high success rate.
Maybe teaching students too well really did backfire…
...
"Renya-ssan, I'm coming over to eat again tomorrow!" Tsunade blinked her big eyes, speaking pitifully.
"If you keep skipping dinner at home, your grandma's going to get angry." Renya flicked the little girl's forehead lightly.
"Oww." Tsunade covered her forehead, pouting with reluctance.
She decided she'd find a way to get her grandma's permission later. As long as she acted cute and begged, grandma would give in eventually.
That way, she could have Renya's cooking every single day!
She was so jealous of Grandpa Tobirama — getting to eat Renya-uncle's food every day.
Unlike her… stuck with grandma's cooking. And even if it didn't taste great, she couldn't complain out loud.
Grandma hated it when anyone criticized her food.
...
"You three eat slowly. I'll go make a bowl of noodles." Renya went into the kitchen to cook.
Dinner time had arrived, and the ingredients he bought today were already used up cooking for the three little ones. Now, he could only make a simple bowl of noodles to send to Senju Tobirama.
Before long, Renya walked out of the kitchen carrying a food box. Looking at the three still eating, he said, "I'm stepping out for a bit. Once you finish, head home early."
"Mm, Renya-san (Renya-sama)," the three replied in unison.
Renya nodded in satisfaction, carrying the food box as he left the house.
...
"Well? My Renya-san's cooking is amazing, right?" Tsunade lifted her chin proudly.
"Mm-hmm! Super delicious!" Jiraiya nodded furiously. "Tsunade, you're incredible!"
If not for Tsunade's connection with Renya, they'd never have gotten to taste something this good.
"Thank you, Tsunade," Orochimaru said softly.
He was genuinely grateful that Tsunade had given him the chance to meet Renya-sama.
"From now on, you two stick with me, and I'll bring you here for good food all the time!" Tsunade patted her chest, striking the pose of a little gang boss.
Who on earth had she been learning this from?
If Mito ever saw Tsunade acting like this, her backside would absolutely pay the price.
"Really?" Jiraiya's face lit up with admiration. "Tsunade, I'll follow you anywhere!"
Orochimaru fell silent, lost in thought. If following Tsunade meant more chances to interact with Renya-sama, there was no reason to refuse.
"I'm in, too."
Seeing that she had just gained two little underlings, Tsunade couldn't help bursting into triumphant laughter.
"After dinner, don't go home just yet! I'll take you to the casino and show you some real action!"
She had a feeling today was going to be her lucky day!
If Mito ever found out that Tsunade, at her age, was going to casinos, the little girl would be in huge trouble.
Tsunade hid this side of herself well — no one had found out… yet.
...
Hokage's Office.
"Brat, why's it only noodles today?"
Senju Tobirama opened the food box and stared at the simple bowl of noodles, black lines forming on his face.
Don't tell him this brat had forgotten to make dinner again?
Noticing Tobirama's suspicious gaze, Renya hurried to explain.
"Uncle, it's not my fault this time. If you want to blame someone, blame that Tsunade…"
He explained the entire situation honestly.
Tobirama's mouth twitched slightly. "That girl…"
He hadn't expected Tsunade to hijack his dinner.
Forget it. Noodles were fine.
Since it was his granddaughter's doing, he'd let this one slide.
Renya glanced at the half-finished stack of documents on the desk and couldn't help but say,
"Uncle, when are you planning to retire?"
He was seriously worried this old man would keel over one day from overwork.
Seriously, did the village really have this many documents to process?
"When you're willing to become Hokage, I can retire." Tobirama spoke calmly as he ate his noodles.
"Then you'll be stuck in that seat until the day you die," Renya said, spreading his hands helplessly.
He honestly couldn't understand why this old man was so obsessed with making him Hokage.
"Cough cough!" Tobirama nearly choked, glaring at him.
This kid really didn't know how to keep his mouth shut, did he?
But deep down, Tobirama understood — getting Renya to become Hokage was probably a lost cause.
Looks like he'd have to start searching for another candidate…
